Daniele stayed at our house again while we were out of town, this time for a week. She is so great with our two dogs, including one that is a very old and requires a lot of patience. They both really love her and I can leave knowing that they are in good hands. She gives them lots of love and attention, and sends me updates and photos while I’m away. She also takes great care of our house – best dog/house sitter ever!

About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life. I absolutely love animals and the joy they bring. I have experience with pets of all ages and health issues including diabetes and epilepsy. I understand how traumatic it can be for pets to be without their owners and I do everything I can to make it easier on both of you. I work part time and it is mostly from home. I have a very open schedule so I can cater to my clients. I can also easily work on my laptop with a dog or cat on my lap. I am happy to treat your pets as my own. I can send you updates with photos so you know they are okay. I will be respectful of your home and privacy.

Larisa was EXCEPTIONAL! She stayed at my home with my dogs (3 of them). She played outside with them everyday and was in constant contact with me. My dogs are very spoiled and usually take days to warm up to someone. They were her best friends within hours of me leaving. She really went above and beyond. They were sad to see her leave and waited at the door to see if she would come back. I will definitely be using Larisa again. My only issue is my dogs love her too much 😂 especially my border collie who got more playtime in the 5 days I was gone than see normally does in a month! Very attentive and loving pet sitter.

This was a short trip we went on so it was a good introduction of our babes to a stranger staying with them. Jennifer has already asked to come back and see them. They are such a fun loving group. We would definitely use Jennifer again in the future 😎😎😎

He has an obvious heart for dogs and our dog stuck right by his side when he was here. He also left the house in spotless conditiion. We feel very lucky to have had him pet sit for our family! About: Hi! I’m Debbie and have cared for two cocker spaniels, Duncan & Tuckie. I take great pride in making my dogs a priority in my life, including them in all that I do & treating them as members of my family! I would love to offer you my dog caring services so that you can have peace of mind that your fur baby is in loving hands! I’m available for dog walks, drop ins for feedings, boarding as well as pet sitting in my home. I do live in a condo community, and while I don’t have a fenced yard, we do have a small dog park on our property. Rest assured that your fur baby will get plenty of potty breaks and get taken on walks to get plenty of fresh air, sunshine & exercise. I work from home three days out of the week, and go into the office on Wed & Thurs. from 8a-5p. I do drive home during my lunch hour to take the doggies on a potty break. I normally give dogs free range in my home. They are allowed on the couch and bed. I can also crate them while I’m away or at night if you prefer. You will need to supply the crate. I take the doggies out for potty breaks usually every four hours.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life and truly love spending time with animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I had a French Bulldog for many years, and because my parents traveled frequently, I was his primary caregiver—handling his daily routine, feeding, walks, playtime, and giving him all the love and attention he deserved until he sadly passed away last year. I’ve also cared for two Great Danes, so I’m comfortable with both small and giant breeds. Through these experiences, I’ve become confident handling dogs with different temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. Today, I regularly volunteer at Friends For Life, a no-kill animal shelter, where I work closely with many of the dogs that need extra patience and care. I help feed, walk, play with, and administer medications to dogs, including many who have experienced neglect, abuse, medical issues, or behavioral challenges. Working with these special dogs has taught me how to build trust, stay patient, and make each dog feel safe and loved. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important it is to know your furry family member is in caring, reliable hands. My goal is to make every dog feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently nanny just for 1.5 hours a week so I have a pretty open schedule! I have a car so I’m able to do transportation as well if needed! I’m also open to last minute requests! I have a very open backyard that’s completely fenced, it has trees and a pool. No animals in my house anymore so it’s open for any animal!

We absolutely love and trust Maite! She takes such wonderful care of Luna, making sure she gets plenty of walks, attention, and love while we’re away. She also treats our home as if it were her own, which gives us so much peace of mind. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, dependable, and genuinely cares about Luna’s well-being. It’s such a relief to know that both Luna and our home are in such great hands. We feel so lucky to have found her and couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Daniela was such a blessing! From day one she was very responsive and professional. I made her come to my house twice for meet and greet because i have two Dobermans and i needed them to get familiarized with her before my trip. She accomodated my last minute changes and made the whole experience so enjoyable. My dogs are very high maintenance and extremely velcro so i was worried it would be too much for Daniela but nope! Got so many pictures and updates that i didnt worry about my doggos (or my house) while i was on vacation. She went above and beyond and left the house even cleaner than how i left it. Even gave freyja a bath. Not ever booking with anyone else other than her :) happy with my first ever rover experience and very thankful i found her.

Daniele stayed at our apartment and took care of our two small dogs and cat. She was professional and our animals were well-cared for. One of our dogs is on two medications and his meds were handled well. The dogs also required walking 5-6 times a day and that was handled. We came home to a clean apartment and happy, settled dogs (and cat). Lots of pictures and videos sent to make us feel better about leaving.

FAQs for House Sitting - Hunters Creek Village

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Hunters Creek Village on Rover is $42.8 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 3,974 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hunters Creek Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hunters Creek Village walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hunters Creek Village maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hunters Creek Village choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hunters Creek Village. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
