“Riley attended dog day care with Tommie and Jeffrey. He had a great time. I know because they sent pics and videos. He came home happy and tired. Will definitely use them again.”

“I’m a first time dog owner and I was beyond impressed with Chelsie with our 6 month old puppy. She would send pictures and kept us updated. She was even willing to come pick up our puppy instead of us having to meet her at her place once. We will continue to use Chelsie in the future.”

“As a psychiatrist and devoted dog dad to two Nederlandse Kooikerhondjes—a relatively rare breed—finding someone qualified and experienced enough to care for my dogs while I was away at a medical conference was not something I took lightly. My dogs are my absolute world and their unique needs and high energy levels require someone who is truly attentive, active, and dedicated. Mandy exceeded every expectation I had. My pups stayed with her and she maintained their routines flawlessly. She kept up with their high energy demands without missing a beat. The abundance of photos and updates she sent throughout the week were so reassuring—I could clearly see my girls were happy, well exercised, and completely at ease in her care. The long walks she took them on daily were exactly what they needed and I could tell they absolutely loved every minute with her. As someone who professionally understands the importance of trust and reliability, I can say with complete confidence that Mandy embodies both. If you are looking for a sitter who will treat your dogs with the same love and dedication you would, she is simply the best. We will absolutely be booking with Mandy again without hesitation!" — Dr. Khan | Psychiatrist & Proud Dad to Two Nederlandse Kooikerhondjes 🐾❤️”

“Burak was so fantastic with my dog! He was a wonderful communicator and sent plenty of photos and updates. He administered my dog’s medicine and went above and beyond to care my dog.”

“Chant was great with my dog Mylo! I had work very early and was able to drop him off before 7AM!! She was very accommodating. Will definitely be booking again soon!”

About: Do you want to be absolutely worry free when it comes to your pets being well cared for while you are on a business trip or vacation? As your pet sitter I see my job as two parts. 1. Care for you pet(s), 2. Communicating with you such that you are worry free. I LOVE PETS and just so happen to be a Massage Therapist and Reiki Master so your babies get extra great pets, love and attention from a Healer! The majority of my private clients thus far are people who have more than one pet and economically boarding them is very expensive and/or they straight up don't like the idea of boarding their pets. (I have private clients that I am happy to provide as references for anyone who is serious about hiring me.) I'm self employed and semi retired so I have some flexibility to work with the right match! I love regular clients on my schedule but also available for one off's when my calander will allow... I pet sit based on having pets and raising children of my own. I have a high level of awareness to your animals needs and am always happy to make sure your home is secure and taken care of. It is never to much to request I bring in mail or packages or handle small things that may come up for you.
“Jennifer was awesome! She kept me updated by sending me super cute pics throughout the day! Buddy came home happy every time and I could tell he was comfortable with her. She was very kind and loving to Buddy. I would highly recommend her for any of her services offered.”

About: I’ve have been taking care of animals since I was young . I have since started volunteering at shelters , to spend time with and play with animals who need a little extra love . I’m currently working from home , so I have a lot of time for walks and trips to the park . also I live close by two open fields and parks to go and play . I do have a fenced patio and a friendly kitten . Who I spend a lot of time training and getting him used to being around different animals in our home .
“Darius was a god sent. I was visiting Houston from Dallas with my husband and puppy. I stayed at a dog friendly hotel but even going for breakfast made my puppy very anxious alone in the room we decided to use over for the first time and I urgently contacted Darius. He was very prompt to respond and accommodated everything. He was very vigilant for for example I feed my dog fresh food, which I forgot to tell him, but he had already put the food in the fridge. He has a very sweet and loving puppy, and I could visibly see mylo happy. If I ever returned to Houston, Darius is my guy. Milo has never been around strangers, but he was extremely comfortable with Darius. He also sent updates every so often and was prompted to answer anything I asked. I don’t think twice.”

“Adriana was very communicative and kept my mind at ease. She was so nice and concerned about any ailments Friday had. She was very flexible with my schedule as well. I would definitely book her again!”

“Filipa is amazing with Tabasco. I’ve had her take him walking, she’s pick him up and brought him home for day care stays. I always get loads of pictures and updates too. She is very safety conscious and cares so well for my baby when he is in her care. I just can’t think of anyone better equipped and prepared.”

“Brooke is incredibly nice and quick in her communication. Really appreciated that she was able to work with us last minute and sent us pics of our dog happily hanging out at her home. Will definitely be using her services again!”

“Lily loved Adrian right away 🥰 Adrian was very easy going and cordial. His time and service gave our visit to MD Anderson some relief knowing Lily was being well taken care of.”

Burak was amazing! We had a last minute show and he was available. Photos were sent of my baby Bella and there was constant communication. This was our first time using Rover and Buraks reviews made me realize he was the perfect match for my girl and he didn't disappoint. Thanks Burak for taking care of my girl ❤️

Jocelyn is wonderful! My puppy is very energetic, but she handled him so well. She sent me lots of photos, and I could tell he was having such a great time with others! He came home happy and tired, and fell asleep right away. I really appreciate the care and updates!

Adriana was wonderful with our puppy, Dolly! She was caring, attentive, and made us feel comfortable leaving Dolly in her care. Dolly came home happy and well cared for. We would definitely book with Adriana again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter.

My dog walker Meena was terrific for me. I am somewhat disabled and walk with a walker and she was always there on time waiting for me! unfortunately sometimes I was late!! I’ll miss her help because my little doggy is going to a friend for a while. If you need a walker, Meena is wonderful and I highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you, Meena

Mikayla was fantastic! Her communication was great, and she sent plenty of photos that made us feel completely at ease. She truly treated Sunny like family, and it was clear how much care and love she put into everything. We felt so grateful knowing Sunny was in such wonderful hands and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!

Lidia is absolutely amazing. This is my first time using Rover and actually my first time using any type of doggy daycare. My little guy, Roo, is 13 years old and I was a bit nervous but after meeting Lidia and her little guy, Peanut, my mind was put at ease. Lidia is very knowledgeable about small dogs and very caring about Roo being comfortable in her home. Roo and I look forward to working with Lidia in the future.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your West University Place commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
