“My dog had such a great time with Beatrice and her dogs! My dog was very anxious and shy upon arrival, but she made sure Buttercup felt welcomed in her home! She got to play and cuddle with the other pups and I look forward to working with her again in the future! ☺️”

“Lily did great with our Lucy! She sent a lot of pictures and even a video. We will definitely use her again and certainly recommend her to anyone looking for pet care.”

“I did a daycare day after I had a stay and my dog was literally howling when we were leaving! He rarely howls or cries for anyone. Just select few, and Amy has earned her spot as one of his top favorite people! I can genuinely see how much she cares for what she does based on his behavior. He is calmer, more mellow and tired when he comes home! 10/10!”

About: What sets me apart is the personal attention, patience, and genuine care I give to every pet. I treat each animal as if they were my own and take the time to understand their unique personality, routine, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different ages and energy levels, including playful puppies and senior pets who may need extra patience and attention. I’m also happy to follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests from owners. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and happy while you’re away. I go to college on Mondays and Wednesday one hour, and come back. Then I am always in my house. Your pets will be in great hands. I have a fenced yard, it’s quite big for the dogs to run around, well go for walks in the quiet and green neighborhood. Your dogs are going to be safe at all times.

“I was in town for training and needed a safe place for my pup while I was in class. Michael provided exactly that. He has an obvious love of and connection with dogs. Although my guy was less than thrilled at staying with a stranger, I was 100% confident that he was in a great place. And when my training ran late on day 2, he was very accommodating and flexible on my pick up time. If/when I'm back in the area and need a dig sitter, I won't hesitate to call Michael.”

“Our puppy had such a great time at daycare. He loved getting to play with the other dogs, and it was so reassuring to receive lots of photo and video updates throughout the day. Miranda and Paula are wonderful. They clearly care about the dogs and made sure our pup was happy and having fun. We really appreciated the great communication!”

About: I’ve been working with animas for over ten years. I’m a dog professional and am well versed in dog behavior. I do rescue work on the side as well. I work 30 hours a week, but am able to come home for lunch daily. I go in very early and come home early so I get plenty of time caring for your pets. I have a very secure fenced in yard and super friendly pups that love company and love to play with new friends and we have cameras out doors with motion detection. I focus on animal safety.

About: I've been dog sitting and walking since 2018, caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, and needs—including senior dogs, disabled dogs, and pups with allergies. I love getting to know each dog's personality, quirks, and routine so they feel comfortable while their people are away. Whether your dog is full of energy or just wants a buddy to hang out with, they'll get plenty of love, attention, and care from Auntie. 🐾 Pet care is my full-time focus, so I have the flexibility to work around your pet's needs. Walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, belly rubs, couch cuddles, snack reminders (for the humans too 😅)—I'm here for it. My goal is to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible so they're happy, comfortable, and stress-free. I know how important trust is when someone else is caring for your pet. I'll take the time to learn their routine, personality, and any special needs before care begins. Whether they're a senior pup, need medication, have allergies, or just need a little extra patience, they'll be cared for like family.
“Celia took great care of my dog Tex! She sent videos and pictures and kept me updated on all things. My dog had a wonderful time and felt right at home immediately! Looking forward to having Tex stay with her again!”

About: Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision, and consistency throughout the day. I’m available for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles, and whatever else your pup needs to feel comfortable. As a dog mom who raised and trained my own pup from 4 months old, I understand the patience and consistency dogs need. Whether your pup is playful and energetic or prefers a calmer environment, I’ll do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I provide care in a quiet, cozy environment that works especially well for dogs who enjoy a more relaxed setting. I keep a close eye on the dogs in my care and do not allow strangers into my home during boarding or daycare. For boarding and daycare, I only accept dogs who are CRATE TRAINED and have their own crate available for their stay. Your dog does not have to spend the day in their crate. Crates are primarily used when needed for safety, sleeping, feeding, brief periods when I cannot directly supervise, or to give your pup a familiar place to decompress. PLEASE BRING YOUR DOG’S CRATE AT DROP-OFF unless we’ve discussed other arrangements. For safety, I do not allow any strangers into my home during boarding or daycare. Since I work from home, your dog will always have supervision, consistent care, and plenty of love throughout the day.
“Shamareya was extremely communicative and very understanding of my dog’s specific potty training challenges, which I know many others may have been hesitant to take on. Her home is beautiful, spacious, and offers ample indoor and outdoor areas for dogs to enjoy. My dog came home exactly as I dropped him off, which reassured me he was in great hands throughout his stay. Highly recommend Shamareya!!”

About: Hi, I am Krithika! bring the mix of experience, attentiveness, and genuine love to every pet I care for! I’ve fostered dogs, so I’m very comfortable with all kinds of personalities, from playful, high-energy puppies to shy or adjusting pups who just need a little extra patience and reassurance. I really enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique quirks and making them feel safe and happy. I also have a dental and healthcare background, which means I’m familiar with basic pet first aid and keeping an eye out for any changes in behavior or health. I’m naturally observant, so I notice the little things and make sure your pet is always well cared for. I love helping my neighbors with training their dogs, so I’m happy to reinforce good habits, practice basic commands, and support routines you already have in place. Whether it’s guiding a young puppy or making sure an older dog feels comfortable and relaxed, I’m all about creating a positive, loving environment. At the end of the day, I treat every pet like they’re my own, with lots of care, attention, and affection! 🐾 I am currently working from home and have a pretty chill schedule. I build my schedule around making sure pets get the attention, exercise, and care they need. I am used to planning my day with regular walks, feeding times, play sessions, and checkins, so your pet will always have structure and consistency. Since I have fostered dogs and regularly help neighbors with their pets, I am comfortable adjusting my routine to fit different energy levels and needs, whether that means active playtime for a puppy or a slower, more relaxed pace for a calmer dog. I also make time for training reinforcement, enrichment activities, and, of course, lots of cuddles. I live an apartment with great space. My dog, Tisha is allowed on our furnitures and beds. She used to sleep in her crate but we recently made the switch to let her sleep on her bed in our room.

Spending time and taking care of dogs is my ultimate at peace moment that fills me with serotonin despite your own dogs needs! 🫶🏼 I work from home and only run a few errands on the weekend for a few hours, so my availability is endless. I am also open to having your little furry ones spend the night or two or however many haha! ❤️ I live in a gated community next to a pet friendly park in a safe neighborhood. I can easily walk around my own community to get all your fur babies energy out, but if needed, there’s lots of areas and parks for me to visit nearby as well! At your own residence, whatever you would like me to do I am more than willing in order to ensure your overall trust and comfort while taking care of your fur babies.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Alief
Viktor had a wonderful day at playcare. He had a great time socializing and playing with the other dogs, and I really appreciated the frequent updates and positive feedback throughout the day. They sent lots of photos, which gave me peace of mind and made it clear that he was happy and comfortable. Most importantly, they handled Viktor with the affection and attention he is used to — very much like the baby he is. I felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care and would happily bring him back.

Fantastic petsitter! She took great care of my puppy and was incredibly helpful and communicative. She sent regular updates during her visit, which gave me total peace of mind. I really appreciated her care and attention, and I will absolutely be booking with her again.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
