“I have used Nathalya twice and she has provided excellent service. I have two dogs and one is super stubborn and not friendly. However Nathalya has been so patient in finding clever ways to win Bella over. Finally, Bella is friendly and allows Nathalya to walk her. My other big fur baby is friendly and loves his time with Nathalya, and she always provides pictures of their time together. I have a peace of mind, and would definitely recommend her to others.”

“Crystal did an amazing job. My cat was so happy and never felt alone. She was well-fed and taken care of beautifully. I even received a couple of photos, which I really appreciated. Crystal also kept me updated, letting me know when she was on her way and when she arrived. When took care my girl. Thank you so much Crystal. You did amazing. Can’t wait work with you again.”

“Hannah is such a sweet soul. I left her to house sit and drop in on my two cats and dog while I was gone on vacation. She did phenomenally well! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a house/pet sitter! She communicates daily and I felt safe leaving my babies in her care”

“Sherry was amazing. She went above and beyond what I needed. I received pictures and a report on how my kitty was doing. She even engaged him in his newest toy. Wonderful experience!”

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs since I was about 10 years old. Growing up, we frequently had both cats and dogs in the house. I also volunteered at an animal shelter for about 2 years before working there for 1 year. I have pet sat for a family every summer for the last 8 years or so and I also worked at a pet boarding place 1 summer. I'm currently working part-time so I will absolutely have time to take care of your pet! I can stay overnight and take care of a pet, and only work an average of six hours a day so I still have plenty of time to spend with a pet! I spend a lot of time hanging out with and getting to know each pet in order to meet their needs. I can play, walk, and feed pets as well as just be a calming presence if that is helpful for them.
“Wonderful experience. She does an excellent job taking care of our beagle. Jennifer is very polite, friendly and professional. I would recommend to any pet owner needing a sitter. Thank you so much!”

About: Hi there! I've grown up with dogs since I was 7 years old and currently have my own Dobermann along with my family's senior Maltese mix and senior Poodle mix at my family's home. If I could foster or adopt more, I would! However, I would love to extend my availability to help folx who need a bit of a helping hand to care for their furry ones. My Dobermann has been through several training courses, so I often introduce basics to dogs I meet, including my friends' furbabies. I also help with my friend's Husky when they're busy, so I'm used to caring for dogs of any size and know the importance of following any regiment you have in place for them! For a more wagging tailored experience of care for your pets, I would love to connect-- more than happy to do an initial meet to ensure your pup feels safe. I'm currently in between jobs and work in an industry that operates on remote work. Therefore, I can work from anywhere to take a break to stop by and even go on a walk. I'm also fond of going to different coffee shops throughout Houston and can take your pup along if you would like for them to be out and about every once in a while. I bounce back and forth between the Galleria area and Humble/Northeast Houston, so I'm open to clients all over Greater Houston. I can easily crate your pup if need be and have been to several dog parks (if you're okay with them). I've worked on being able to identify body language between dogs to determine whether they are getting to know each other or if we need to separate from others right away. Routines are also great, and I am more than happy to follow any regiments pet parents have for their dog(s)-- including integrating training throughout everyday (not just training sessions), meal times, walk/potty times, or even designated play times.
About: I provide reliable, attentive care, and make sure each pet’s routine is followed as closely as possible to help them feel more comfortable. I do have experience caring for puppies and senior dogs including, basic training habits, maintaining potty schedules, administering simple medications and giving extra patience and attention to older pets. I like clear communication with owners so I can make sure I’m treating every pet as if they are my own. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to care for the babies. I can generally take care of anything at any moment with a proper notice. I give pets the necessary space, toys, and time they need. I have an enclosed balcony for dogs that enjoy outside, and a plush couch for the ones who enjoy inside. I am adamant about food and potty time! Any specifics that are required can be communicated and I will ensure it is taken care of.
“Ashlie was great caring for our older and very particular cat for 2 weeks. She dropped in and did everything asked of her and took great pictures and provided in depth updates about how out cat was doing. Will definitely look forward to booming with her again.”
“Sarah is wonderful! She did everything I asked, and my kitties love her! I'll definitely request her again, and highly recommend her. Thank you so much Sarah. ???? Toni & Gordon (and Clover & Boudreaux). ?”

I can dog walk in the mornings and evenings on weekdays. :) Im working from home so i will have plenty of time to be attentive to your cat/dog needs. I love playing with cats and dogs making sure their enrichment is met. I have availability morning and evenings on weekdays. If needed to board I can keep your pet in a separated area. “Kara was wonderful, highly recommend! She took excellent care of our senior dog, gave him medicine while we were away, and even stopped over for an extra visit that we did not have her originally scheduled for when she noticed that he was not feeling well.”

“We’d use Hadassa in the house for boarding at her place but we recent had an overnight trip we asked her to do check ins on. The pups loved her there! She gave us wonderful detailed report cards and it’s so nice to trust her in our home. Highly recommend!”

“Jake was a great sitter and my dogs automatically were comfortable with him coming for drop ins. He came on time for each drop in and utilized the report cards every time with multiple pictures. I would recommend Jake to take care of your pups anytime.”
“10/10, would definitely ask Gigi to pet sit my cats again! She was very punctual, spent quality time with my kitties, and I left instructions that she followed with detail and care. Based on the pictures, all the kitties seemed to love her!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Alief
Shiela did a wonderful job caring for our cats while we were away. Our two cats have been experiencing some tension for the past several months- Shiela did a great job giving them their anxiety supplement during every visit. She also groomed them, played with them and gave them treats. Prior to the cat visits, she also suggested purchasing Feliway spray for our cats, which our cats seemed to like, and she sprayed it during visits as well. Thank you Shiela! 🐱

Nathalya is the greatest! My two kitties were in such good hands while we were gone. This was our first time booking a sitter for them and so my partner and I initially were nervous and hesitant but she made it so easy! We are so grateful and will definitely be booking her again in the future :) thank you again!!!

Hadassa took great care of our cats Momo and Brownie while we were out of town for a few weeks. This was our first time using Rover and we were a bit anxious, but were reassured after the meet and greet that we had reached out to the right person. Excellent communication and she was always on time for the drop-in visits and provided great updates with many pictures. She even shared videos on occasion without us even requesting which was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend and we will definitely use her services again in the future should the need arise.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alief. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
