“Tia is amazing! My dogs definitely love her! She asked alot of questions upon her initial meet and greet which was good for me. She wanted to know where everything was. It was definitely comforting to know she genuinely cared for my pups! I highly recommend her to care for your animals, she's great!”
“I have had a few negative experiences on rover in the past year or so, so I was hesitant to return. My pup is also elderly with a medical condition so this is the first time I've been away in a while and I was very nervous. Then I met Risi. From day 1 she had my full trust and her drop in visits just confirmed that I've found my pup's permanent pet sitter. She is detailed, communicative, reassuring, and so so cares about the babies in her charge. 10000% recommend to everyone around me. Thank you!!!! ❤️. The peace of mind you gave me is priceless”

“Alex is the most conscientious pet sitter I've ever had. This was the third time that I've used her and I will schedule her again. She is thorough (litter boxes scooped, food dishes washed, newspapers brought it), notices anything out-of-the-ordinary (this visit the yard mowing crew had left the back gate open), and communicates quickly. I was able to relax and enjoy the time away knowing that she was doing everything the way I wanted it done.”
“Olga provided excellent care for our cats, Aria and Milo. She was friendly and she was proactive in her communication with me. She followed my care instructions very well. I would trust Olga again with the care of our cats, and I hope to hire her again the next time we travel.”

“Ashlie was great caring for our older and very particular cat for 2 weeks. She dropped in and did everything asked of her and took great pictures and provided in depth updates about how out cat was doing. Will definitely look forward to booming with her again.”
About: Hi, I’m Mari! 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover and proud fur mom to one very loved pup and two spoiled kitties. Caring for animals has been a huge part of my life for more than 15 years. Over the years, I’ve cared for the pets of neighbors, family, friends, and coworkers, and I’m excited to finally bring that experience to Rover and connect with even more pet parents and their furry family members. I’ve had the privilege of caring for dogs and cats at every stage of life, from young puppies and kittens to senior pets. I’ve raised my own dog, Lennox, since he was just two months old, and I’ve had my youngest kitten since he was two months old as well. I’ve also cared for several beloved family pets well into their senior years, including pets 12+ years old who required medications, specific routines, and a little extra attention. I understand how important it is to follow a pet’s routine exactly as their parents have established it, especially when it comes to feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and other individual needs. As a pet parent myself, I know that every animal has their own personality, quirks, routines, and specific needs. I’m naturally very attentive and detail-oriented when it comes to my own pets, and I bring that same level of care to every animal I look after. I also have experience with medium-sized breeds and dogs who may be reactive, nervous, or need a little extra patience and understanding. I know that not every pet is comfortable with the same things, and I’m happy to take the time to learn what makes each individual pet feel safe and comfortable. One of the things I pride myself on most is communication. I know how difficult it can be to leave your babies with someone else, so I want you to feel just as comfortable and informed as your pet is. I love sending regular updates, pictures, and little check-ins throughout the day so you never have to wonder how your furry family member is doing. I’m also happy to follow detailed instructions and routines because I understand that consistency is important for pets. I’m currently a Civil Engineer going through a career change, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability. I’m happy to work with busy schedules and do my best to accommodate the needs of both you and your pet. I’m also currently working toward obtaining my Pet CPR certification because I want to be as prepared and knowledgeable as possible should an emergency ever arise. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities, and I’m always happy to provide any additional information, references, or details that would help you feel comfortable choosing me to care for your pet. At the end of the day, I know how much our pets mean to us because mine mean the world to me. My goal is to give your pets the same patience, attention, affection, and care that I would want someone to give mine. ❤️🐶🐱 Pet care fits really naturally into my schedule right now. I’m currently in a flexible stage of my career as I transition out of civil engineering, which allows me to have more control over my time and availability. Because of that, I’m able to plan my days around pet care visits, walks, feedings, and check-ins without feeling rushed or overbooked. I’m happy to adjust my routine to match your pet’s normal schedule as closely as possible. Whether it’s early potty breaks, consistent feeding times, or evening walks and cuddle time, I can be there when your pet needs me most. Since I’m not tied to a strict 9–5 work schedule, I also have the flexibility to accommodate last-minute requests when possible and provide reliable care during weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. I make it a priority to only take on bookings that I can fully commit to, so your pet always gets my full attention and care. At the end of the day, I can structure my schedule around the pets I’m caring for, because making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and consistent in their routine is my top priority. 🐾 I currently provide care in my clients’ homes so their pets can remain in the environment they already know and feel comfortable in. I’m happy to follow their established routines, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, crating, bedtime routines, and puppy potty schedules. I also have experience with puppy training and can help reinforce consistent potty-training routines while you’re away. I’m very attentive to safety and will make sure doors, gates, crates, and other areas are properly secured, especially when entering or leaving the home. I’ll take the time to understand each pet’s personality, triggers, and boundaries so I can provide care that is safe and comfortable for them. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions and adjust to whatever routine works best for each pet. My goal is to keep their day as consistent as possible while giving their parents peace of mind through regular updates and communication.

“With the holiday rush, we forgot to book a cat sitter until the last minute, but we were lucky enough to get Maria! She was very responsive and professional, and she took great care of our two cats.”

“Hannah is such a sweet soul. I left her to house sit and drop in on my two cats and dog while I was gone on vacation. She did phenomenally well! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a house/pet sitter! She communicates daily and I felt safe leaving my babies in her care”

“Leah is the BEST!! She took such good care of my kitties, even administered meds for one of them, and kept the litter box and eating areas so clean!! Will use her every time I can!! ❤️”

“Carole is so wonderful and we can always tell that our dog has been cared for and loved on when we return. We love having her as a petsitter and will continue to be repeat clients anytime she’s available.”

“This lady is AMAZING!!!! I’m so happy & truly grateful for her caring for my furry baby. Unlike the previous rover dog sitter that doesn’t like to be told, Kelly does exactly what you tell her and even spent an extra few minutes with my dog. Oh and she takes the best pictures too like a professional photographer! I saw her from our outdoor camera practically laying on the ground just to get good angles while taking pictures. I love that she sent me a bunch of photos of my dog. I don’t like to leave my dog ever coz he’s too attached to me. But thank you Kelly for making us feel at ease while we were away! You are a true gem!!!! THANK YOU!!!!”

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs since I was about 10 years old. Growing up, we frequently had both cats and dogs in the house. I also volunteered at an animal shelter for about 2 years before working there for 1 year. I have pet sat for a family every summer for the last 8 years or so and I also worked at a pet boarding place 1 summer. I'm currently working part-time so I will absolutely have time to take care of your pet! I can stay overnight and take care of a pet, and only work an average of six hours a day so I still have plenty of time to spend with a pet! I spend a lot of time hanging out with and getting to know each pet in order to meet their needs. I can play, walk, and feed pets as well as just be a calming presence if that is helpful for them.
“In the past 2 years, I've booked Katelyn 7 times for drop-in visits for my cats. She's always done a great job taking care of the boys and I'll continue to request her in the future.”

“Megan exceeded our expectations!! We are so pleased! The wonderful pictures, care, and feedback she sent was heartwarming and thoughtful! We will definitely call on Megan again! She’s the BEST!!! Thank you, dear Megan!!♥️”

“Joya-Bella was able to pick up my request after another sitter cancelled last minute and I could not be more grateful! She was great with communication and gave lots of love to my pups over the weekend. Happy to book again 😀”

“Gina was an absolute gem!!! This was my first time using Rover and I was so nervous about having a stranger in my home. Gina and the met prior to her drop in visits and I was comfortable right away!!! She loves it and showed so much love to my two fur babies. I would highly recommend her and I will ask for her help again. Chip and Kloe loved Gina dropping by!!! Thanks again Gina for putting me at ease!!!”

“It was my first time leaving Mickey with someone other than family and Joseph called us immediately to cone meet Mickey. He explained how everything worked and sent us pictures Daily. It was a great experience.”

I hired Carole to take care of my beloved cats while I was away on a two‑week trip, and she was absolutely amazing. When I came home, my cats were happy, healthy, and incredibly well cared for. It was clear they received a lot of love and attention every single day. Carole did an excellent job with my cats during my time away. Her dedication and attention to detail gave me so much peace of mind while I was traveling. I am extremely grateful for everything she did. Without a doubt, Carole will be my go‑to person every time I need to travel and leave my babies in someone’s care. Highly recommend her!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
