“Karina has helped us when we have been going through a stressful time and needed care for our dogs. Our dogs absolutely love her and she is so good with them. We are so thankful we have her!”

“Alona was wonderful! She did a great job of sending pictures and keeping me updated. One of my cats takes a bit to warm up, but he warmed up quickly to Alona. I will definitely be rebooking with Alona when needed!”

“Katie was fantastic! She was so kind and attentive to our cats, was very conscientious about cleaning the litter box and giving them fresh water. From all the photos she sent us, it was clear the cats enjoyed her company. We will definitely ask for Katie again and will recommend her to our friends and family.”

“Just can’t say enough good things about Jamie. She’s been a godsend with our elderly dog Annie. Gentle, compassionate caregiver AND gives lots of exercise and attention to our more active dog Bella. They both love having Jamie come feed and play with them. We know they’re so much happier at home than at a kennel.”

“Allison has been amazing! It has been so comforting to know that our kitty has been well taken care of and loved while we are gone. Allison is easy to work with, responsive, and reliable. Thank you!”

About: Having provided hands on care for animals starting at age 13, I bring over five years of personal experience and one of learning to every visit. My passion for animal welfare has led me to actively study veterinary medicine and earn professional credentials in both Elanco Fundamentals of Animal Science and Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications. This background allows me to understand small animal health, attentive care for pets of all ages, read subtle body language, and spot minor changes in well being before they become big issues. Whether that means managing high energy puppies or giving gentle, patient attention to senior dogs. When your pet is with me, they aren't just getting a walk they're getting knowledgeable, family level care. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy doing alongside my full time work. By setting aside two full days a week specifically for pet sitting and dog walking, I can focus completely on your small pets and provide calm, reliable care without feeling rushed. I provide care exclusively in your home so your small pets can stay comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. During every visit, I prioritize safety by keeping spaces secure, strictly following house rules and your established routine, giving your pet calm, dedicated attention.

About: I have taken care of cats, dogs, and rabbits since I was young. I have experience with providing oral medications, insulin shots, and kitten care for cats of all ages. Before relocating to Katy, TX this year I had a small clientele I would frequently cat & dog sit for including occasional overnights. I would be more than willing to provide testimonials if requested! I currently work Monday-Friday 8-5 as a front desk receptionist. I am enrolled in Dental Assisting school and have a five hour lab on Saturday afternoons. A typical day for me would be Morning 7am & Evening 6pm drop-ins for your cat. Overnights and house sits I would be present at the home at all times aside from my 8-5 work day. I have two cats that I adore completely that are indoor only & I do have a fully covered catio for them to enjoy the nice weather! I have experience with both hyperactive and shy dogs and feel comfortable with crating, walking, feeding, etc.
“Katelyn was wonderful! She sent us pictures and went above and beyond and cleaned up after the kitties. She followed directions well and communicated well also. Would use her again :)”

“Ashlyn is the best ever! Our dog, Zelda, immediately fell in love with her and she is generally a very shy puppy. She takes the perfect photos of our baby and makes sure that all Zelda’s needs are met. I highly recommend Ashlyn! She is very professional and i’m glad that we have her to give our Zelda some love!”

“Anaya did an amazing job watching our pets for the week! She took excellent care of all of them, including our cat, Bear, who has strict dietary needs and requires extra attention. We were relieved to come home and find him, along with the other pets, looking happy, healthy, and well cared for. She also kept our house clean and treated it with respect, so walking through the front door after a week away felt great. It's obvious she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. We had complete peace of mind while we were gone, and we wouldn't hesitate to book Anaya again. Highly recommend!”

“Kelly accepted our request on very short notice and took excellent care of our Golden Doodle. I am extremely grateful and think she did a great job. I would definitely hire her again if the opportunity comes up!”

“Sandy is the best!! She truly loves our dog Lulu and Lulu loves her! That gives us peace of mind when we are on vacation that Lulu is in such great hands! We have been lucky enough to have had Sandy every time we needed her for Lulu! She goes the extra mile, even by leaving us, cute picture, keychains, and refrigerator magnets of our sweet dog!”

“Madeline was such a great sitter for my two pups, Mars and Kawhi! She was reliable, communicated frequently, and was there to step in last minute when my schedule was crazy. My dogs adore her - she is excellent with them! Mars is still a puppy and she was so lovely and patient when it came to his work in progress potty training. I can't recommend her enough!”

“This was our first time using Clare and Andi and we will definitely use them again! We loved the updates and pictures, even though one of our fur babies was too shy this time Twix loved her new friends!”

About: I've always been surrounded by animals and taking care of pets since a very young age. I actually used to have a Rover profile when living in Alaska over 10 years ago, but I can no longer access it. We have several pets of our own, including a Bengal and Savannah cat, as well as a standard Poodle and a Great Dane. No animal is too big or too small! I work from home, so does my husband, so your pet will receive around-the-clock attention. If they are typically kenneled, I do have one additional XL dog kennel on hand, but they are also free to roam if that is what you prefer. Potty breaks are frequent, and additional walks can be completed upon request. Our typical route is a one-mile loop from my home to a nearby man-made lake. My home has a fully fenced-in backyard, and kennels are available upon request. Your fur baby will have plenty of attention from my dogs, Piper and Marcus, or my cats, Meech and Moon. Walks are only complete on leash to ensure your pet does not elope. We do have children in the home, but they have been raised around animals and know the importance of respecting your pet's boundaries.

Katie was amazing with our baby, no issues at all with communications and we felt at ease while being away with the regular updates and pictures! Our cat is very sweet, but particular about some things hehe, and Katie made her feel calm and safe. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for someone kind and responsible with your pet and home (:

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Katy. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
