“We had a fantastic experience with Alona! She was incredibly dependable and always on time. We received daily updates with pictures and thoughtful notes that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our dogs were not only safe but truly well cared for. Her communication was excellent, and her love for animals really showed. We came home to happy, relaxed pups and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend Alona to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“I scheduled our dog Bruno at the last minute (our other doggo can’t walk right now) and Courtney was incredibly helpful, friendly and Bruno loves her. Thank you Courtney! Appreciate you!”

About: Hello my name is Katherine - I go by Katy I’ve been privately pet sitting on and off for almost two decades. I am currently taking a break from my career and have plenty of time on my hands to do what I love, which is care for animals I enjoy walking small dogs, big dogs, strong pullers, slow walkers, avid sniffers, all of them. I am adult & child/infant CPR certified by the Red Cross and am confident I could provide care to a pet in critical condition while remaining calm if needed. I have a bachelors degree in teaching and learning from U of H. I know that doesn’t matter here for the cats and dogs — just worth mentioning. My rates are open to discussion let’s book a walk or a drop in visit; I look forward to hearing from you! I am available to visit clients homes during the working day (weekdays and weekends) to provide walks or potty breaks to pets. We can discuss what you and your pets need and make it work! I follow the clients’ instructions to care for their pets with the same kindness, love, and care I provide my own pets while respecting your wishes.

My schedule is subject to change depending on the amount of clients i receive! I currently work full time, I am off all evenings. I am available to do morning walks and drop ins as well as evening walks and drop ins! I have one fur baby, I have a crate set up in my bedroom. I take my fur baby outside every hour and she gets fed twice a day! I would be glad to accommodate to a different schedule if needed!
About: Hi, I’m Kailey! I am an elementary school teacher here in town. I graduated in 2018 from Stephen F Austin in Nacogdoches. To get myself through school, I always found myself pet sitting for various animals. It become somewhat of a hobby of mine! I teach children, and animals are easier than that! I have ALWAYS had an animal in my life, so you can say that they are my passion! On most summers, am off from teaching, so I decided to work full time at animal boarding facilities. I also spend a lot of time at animal shelters, which started my journey with my very own puppy months ago! I have worked with ALL types of animals; dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, horses, etc! I believe every pet should be properly taken care of, just as if they were people’s children!
About: I am eager to meet your fur baby(ies) and have lots of love and attention to shower on them. I am a trained pet care giver and volunteer at a local area pet shelter. My goal is to offer your family pet(s) love and kindness in every way. (I do not care for reptiles or amphibians yet will happily sprinkle food into a fish tank.) I make short visits to walk your pets or care for your animals for an hour or more. I can also visit your pets twice a day. My schedule is flexible. That can be discussed during our meet and greet or via phone call. We can communicate by face-to-face meet and greet prior the booking, there is a great video chat feature in the app. Please contact me by phone and we can discuss my care of your pets. This meet and greet is to get acquainted with your pet(s) and see how they respond to my care.

About: I have an almost 2 year old mini goldendoodle. We have trained her since she was 8 weeks old. We had her potty trained in a week. Other than that my husband had tons of dogs in the family growing up so together we have lots of experience. I currently work full time Saturday-Wednesday but can be very flexible. During the weekdays I work 9-4ish, saturdays I work 2-9 ish, sundays 7-1ish. Willing to work around those times for your furry friend. About: Dogs are wonderful companions with so much love to give. They truly become part of the family, and each one has a unique personality that makes them special! Whether your dog is staying in our home, enjoying a walk, or receiving care in the comfort of their own home, my goal is always the same—to provide loving, dependable care so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind. For boarding guests, a typical day is active, playful, and full of attention. Our children absolutely love the furry friends who stay with us, so it's important that your pup is comfortable around kids, too. While you're away, your dog won't simply be boarded—they'll become part of our family's daily routine. Whether we're heading to the park, going for a walk, or spending time together at home, your pup will be right there with us. If you've booked dog walks or in-home pet care, you can rest assured your pet will receive the same thoughtful attention. I'll make sure they get plenty of exercise, fresh water, affection, and companionship while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for until you're back home. To help every guest feel comfortable, I do have a few house rules for boarding. Dogs are not allowed on the couches or beds, but they certainly won't miss out on affection! We happily spend plenty of time on the floor giving belly rubs, cuddles, and lap time whenever they want extra love. You can enjoy your time away knowing your dog will be welcomed, cared for, and treated like one of our own. After caring for many dogs, I've learned that keeping things simple and maintaining excellent hygiene creates the best experience for everyone. Before your dog's stay, please consider the following: Bring your dog's leash and harness. Pack enough food for the entire stay, along with their food bowl. Please bring plenty of poop bags. We enjoy frequent walks, and all that exercise often means more potty breaks than usual! When it comes to toys, blankets, and other personal belongings, less is often better. Dogs sharing a home can sometimes become protective of their favorite items, so packing lightly helps create a calmer and safer environment for everyone. If possible, please bathe your dog before boarding. Freshly bathed dogs are more comfortable for themselves and the other guests. Also, keep in mind that blankets, beds, and toys can hold odors if they haven't been washed recently. Thank you for taking the time to review these guidelines. I truly appreciate your help in making every pet's experience safe, clean, and enjoyable. Whether your companion is staying with us, enjoying a walk, or being cared for at home, I'll treat them with the same love and attention I'd want for my own pets. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member. Safe travels! Pet care is fully integrated into my daily routine. In my home, pets become part of the household and are cared for just like my own—following our natural rhythm of meals, walks, playtime, rest, and evening wind-down with consistent supervision and attention throughout the day. For check-ins and home visits, I plan my schedule around your pet’s needs, ensuring timely visits for feeding, potty breaks, exercise, and companionship. I make sure each visit is unrushed and focused, maintaining your pet’s routine and comfort while you're away. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my priority. I provide a loving, family environment with daily walks, supervised play in our fenced dog park, and a secure gated indoor area when needed. For check-ins and home visits, I ensure timely, attentive care with feeding, potty breaks, exercise, and companionship to keep your pet comfortable and on routine while you’re away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
