“Jasmine was sweet and came for a meet and greet the night before even though my request was last minute. She is knowledgeable about dogs and even changed my dog’s diaper for me!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Alona! She was incredibly dependable and always on time. We received daily updates with pictures and thoughtful notes that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our dogs were not only safe but truly well cared for. Her communication was excellent, and her love for animals really showed. We came home to happy, relaxed pups and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend Alona to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, and other animals since I was a small child. I am very good with dogs and know how to manage even the jumpers, growlers, and hissers. I’ve always had an innate ability to bond with animals. I’m very punctual and detailed oriented. I truly care for animals and their owners. I’ve cleaned up pee, torn up dog beds so owners would not have to come home to it, and gave lots of love and belly rubs. I work Monday through Friday but my hours vary. I’m available at lunch I am able to take flexible lunch breaks. I’m home most weekends because I’m taking online classes, so walks are a nice break for me. I’m available every afternoon for the most part. I do not have any pets of my own. I have a few fish. I have a condo and two dog parks in walking distance, countless parks and an off leash dog park I like to go to. I’m a smoke free home.

About: I have taken care of dogs in the professional pet boarding fields at Waggin Tails and Pet Suites in Fulshear, Tx for about 4 years now. I have also dog walked for my own business in the past and taken care of my relatives dogs for years now. I am well working and providing assistance and love to senior pups and or puppies of any age. I currently am not working so my schedules day to day are pretty clear this summer and I would love to spend quality time with your pups! I have a fenced yard and also a friendly puppy on my own who is a 1 year old boxer, if you would like your pup to have company.
About: Loving animals has always been a big part of my life. I believe playing with pets helps me as much as it helps them. For the past three years, I've fostered both dogs and cats, giving me experience with pets of different ages, energy levels, and personalities. I understand how important it is to earn an animal's trust, follow their routine, and provide attentive care. I will care for every pet as if they are my own and will always send regular photo updates so you know your pet is happy while you're away. I’m available weekdays (preferably after 5pm, but if not, no worries) and anytime on weekends. I am a college student back home for the summer, and the only commitment I have is a flexible, virtual internship. I believe routine is key when caring for pets, when a routine is broken it can be very stressful for them and can even cause them to be sick. That is why I like to stick to their regular feeding + exercising schedule and make sure to keep up the same level of love and attention you give them when you’re with them!
“I booked Karina again this week for dog walking, and I am genuinely impressed. Princess, who is usually very shy and slow to trust, bonded with her so much faster this time, and everything went incredibly smoothly. Seeing that level of progress in such a short time really speaks to Karina’s patience, experience, and calm approach. She clearly understands how to work with nervous dogs and builds trust in a very thoughtful and respectful way. It gives me a lot of confidence and peace of mind knowing Princess is with someone so capable. I will definitely continue booking her on a regular basis and highly recommend her to anyone, especially if you have a shy or anxious dog.”

About: I've had fur babies over a span of 30 years, from young adulthood to my married life. I continue to care for many pets for our friends and family and treat them as our own, providing special love and attention. Senior dogs have a special place in my heart and we understand their need for extra gentleness and care. I will keep your fur baby safe and look forward to meeting them. I’m retired and available for lots of play time, walks, and cuddles. I’m available for boarding or drop-ins anytime of the week with advance notice. I have a fenced yard and/or can crate your fur baby anytime if needed. I will care for and protect your pets as if they are our own.
“I wasn’t really around but heard it went well and so appreciate Katelyn walking the dog in this brutal heat. Katelyn was on time each day and managed our sweet little pup very well!”

About: I’ve taken care of many different pets for many years including birds, rabbits, dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. I love animals and I’m actually getting a career as a veterinarian! I am in college, and I am home for the summer right now with no job so I am extremely available but during the school year i’m a bit more limited to availability but i’m sure I will be able to fit these into my schedule I am a very clean person, I will take care of your pet and respect your house. I take very good care of things that are not mine.

“Thank you, Chassidy, for taking care of Pluto and Angel while we are out of town... making sure Pluto has medications that he needs as well as taking care of our turtles.”
About: I have owed, trained, cared for and loved dogs my whole life. I have experience with many breeds and have researched different breeds including their behaviors and how to care for them. I’ve read and implemented the skills I learned from a NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER book called TEAM DOG By Mike Ritland with my own dogs. It actually trained ME on how to communicate, being the leader, appropriately punish or reward and how to create a healthy environment for your dog. You wouldn’t be disappointed in hiring me! 😊 I have a big fenced in back yard, dog balls, frisbees and other toys. I love being outside with my dogs, throwing the ball or frisbee or just chilling outside. We also go on lots of walks., trying to get my 10,000 steps in 😜 and having a fur companion with me is exactly what I love!! 🦮 If your dog stays with me, they will get lots of playtime, lots of love, daily pictures and or videos and I will keep them on the same feeding schedule you have them on currently. Dogs usually sleep inside wherever they want, on the couch lol or on a dog bed or if the owner prefers, I have a crate. This is a small business for me and I take it very serious. Reach out to me if you have any questions, I would be honored to meet with you and your dog. Thank you for considering me and my family for your pets next “home away from home”. Karen My daughter (17) and I are almost always home and available to care for your dogs needs. When we board your dog will almost never be left alone. We treat the dogs we board just like we treat our own dogs. They live with us and would acclimate into our home life of walking, playing, feeding while receiving the attention and care they need.
About: I had cats, dogs, fish, and hamsters since I was little. My kids and I had an albino lobster, turtles, hamsters, rabbits, chickens, and roosters. Currently we have 2 dogs, a hamster, and a fish. My routine is walking in the morning and evening when coolest. I let the dogs out throughout the daytime as needed. I have a fully fenced backyard with a view of the golf course at Meadowbrook Farms. We have shade and a covered back patio. Between my two daughters and myself, the animals are free to sleep wherever they like. They'll always have attention and snuggles. I wake up early and have a lenient work schedule. There always seems to be a dog in my lap or around me wherever I go. I enjoy walks around the neighborhood and bring them with me. At night, I spray lavender essential oil and use white noise sleep sounds for the dogs and myself before bed. They're usually snoring before I fall asleep. I have a fenced yard and go outside with them while they potty. I will walk with my clients through the home and ask if they see anything that may be harmful for their dog if they were to get into it (i.e. cords,...). I don't leave small plastic toys out that could get eaten by mistake. I carry childrens Benydryl as well in case of any allergy attacks (have never needed to use it - knock on wood). If a dog is possessive over food I feed them in separate rooms.
About: Hi, thanks for checking out my profile! I began my petsitting experience up in Northern Colorado 6 years ago all through college. I'm new to Richmond, but I'm excited to meet new furry friends! I have many references and am very comfortable with getting to know the unique personalized care you give your pets so that they can feel just as comfortable with me as they do with you. I cannot confirm my availability for more than 2 months out since life happens and my availability can change, so please keep that in mind when sending a request. Check out my calendar for my current availability. I care for pets as if they were my own and I am very aware and respectful of the lengths pets can be alone for per the parent's request. I keep homes the same way you leave them, bring in the mail and packages, water plants, and most importantly I ensure all doors to the home are locked and secure each time I visit and/or stay the night. Your pet's safety is my top priority when I'm with them. Please let me know any information I may need to help keep them safe and healthy while you're away.
About: I have been a pet sitter/walker for over 15 years. I have taken care of many dogs and cats. I love animals and enjoy taking care of them when they are not able to be with their families. Dogs are taken on walks, have play time, fed, given meds when needed, brushed if you like and given lots of love. I stay in your home while pet sitting and care for your home as if it were my own. In addition to watching your pets, I am looking after your home as well. I like to send updates and pictures of your pets to you daily so you can see how loved and well taken care of your fur babies are. I can't wait to meet your sweet fur angels!!! I am currently working but am able to sit for your babies as well. I am available seven days a week and all holidays are open. I sit in-home for my clients while they are away. As well as caring for your pets, I am also caring for your house too, such as taking out the trash, checking mail if asked and securing any packages you may have delivered.
“Lily’s attentive and thorough help is awesome to have for my dog. She actually takes her on walks rather than just around the corner or something. The walk cards provided by Lily are great lil’ notes to know things are good and well. Always appreciate the help, thank you!”

Natalie's been an excellent help with my pup! She made both of us feel comfortable from the beginning. She arrives timely (usually early), and she pays close attention to your fur baby when she is out for walks, noticing all the details. I would recommend Natalie and we will definitely be using her again.
Raylynn is an absolute gem. She went above and beyond every time she was with our boys, and made sure there were plenty of pictures for us to enjoy while away. Every animal, not just the one she was tasked with, felt love and appreciation no matter how small. 11/10, couldn’t be happier.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
