“Maria managed our two dogs well in addition to accessing our locked community and home security system. She is very dependable. I wouldn't hesitate to request her services again.”

About: Cat mom, foster dog parent, and animal shelter volunteer experienced with dogs and cats of all ages, including seniors, anxious pets, and those requiring medication. I treat every pet like family, providing dependable care and personalized attention🫶🏼 Your pet's care, routine, and happiness will always be my top priority. I'll work with their feeding, exercise, playtime, and daily schedule to help them feel comfortable and at ease. As a devoted dog and cat parent myself, I always strive to provide not only the best care for my own pets, but also for the pets of family, friends, and clients who trust me with their beloved companions. I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to leave your pets behind while you're away, and how important it is to find someone you can trust. My goal is to ensure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you peace of mind during your time away.

“Rebekah has been the perfect choice to take care of our pups. Never misses a day, takes extra care of our dogs and goes above and beyond. We have her come 3 days a week and will continue to work with her as long as she is able. Can’t recommend Rebekah enough.”

“I booked Karina again this week for dog walking, and I am genuinely impressed. Princess, who is usually very shy and slow to trust, bonded with her so much faster this time, and everything went incredibly smoothly. Seeing that level of progress in such a short time really speaks to Karina’s patience, experience, and calm approach. She clearly understands how to work with nervous dogs and builds trust in a very thoughtful and respectful way. It gives me a lot of confidence and peace of mind knowing Princess is with someone so capable. I will definitely continue booking her on a regular basis and highly recommend her to anyone, especially if you have a shy or anxious dog.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. Growing up in the big city, I cared for my rescued Rottweiler-Pit Bull mix, and an American Shorthair cat. When I migrated to Houston, a wonderful Chihuahua-Papillon mix, Daisy, rescued me. Caring for pets throughout my life has taught me patience, attentiveness, and how important loving, reliable care is for animals. I’m dependable, communicative, and committed to making pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting in the Houston/Katy area, and I’ll always treat your pets like family! My schedule is flexible on evenings and weekends, which allows me to provide attentive care, walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship for pets. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and always try to make pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for your pets. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, routine, and comfort level, and I always try to create a calm, safe, and loving environment. I’ll treat your pets with the same care, patience, and attention I gave my own pets growing up.
About: Dog owner for 12 years, with 2 graduates of CGC training and some agility work. Currently living with the chillest Chihuahua ever. Have done pet sitting at home and live-in. College professor currently teaching online, so plenty of flexibility around your schedule. Let me know what your needs are and we can make something work! Two-story townhouse in Green Trails fenced community. We have a small enclosed atrium yard with grass for outside time, and we're immediately adjacent to walking trails in Bush Park. We have a chihuahua who gets along very well with other dogs - usually just leaves them alone!

About: I’ve grown up around large (50+ lbs) and small dogs/cats my entire life. I love being around animals and have no problem with nurturing them, even if they have more problematic temperaments. I believe animals are like raising children in that they need safety, positive reinforcement, freedom, and enough activity to learn and develop naturally. I will do everything in my power to make sure your pets get the level of respect and care they deserve. I also love going outside! Taking them out should be a blast if needed. I’m currently looking for part-time work as I try to focus on graduate school, so my schedule is very flexible! Mornings/Early Afternoons should be no issue I currently lived in a fenced-in apartment complex. I don’t typically expect to spend too much time in my own home when on the job, however if I do, the apartment complex offers a large park which has multiple areas where dogs can freely roam.

“Charisma is a wonderful dog sitter and walker. She took such great care of my pet and always kept me in the loop with pics and little notes. I never once worried while we were gone. She goes above and beyond!”

“Molly was great with my dog Milo and treated him very well. She was punctual and followed all my instructions about Milo, and was great at responding to messages. Will be booking with her again!”

About: Aside from having my own dog for a few years, I’ve grown up around family dogs and always loved to help take them on walks, feed them, and play with them. I’ve also had a few pet sitting jobs while my neighbors are on vacation, and help with the dog’s daily needs. I’m going into my last summer before college and do not currently have a job, so this will be my main side hustle before going off to college! Most of my days are free, I would say I’m busiest in the evening around 6-8 when I usually go to the gym. I will be flexible and attentive to the dogs needs and plan to maintain a safe calm environment whenever I come to pet sit! I will make sure to keep the pets happy and the house left clean!
“I wasn’t really around but heard it went well and so appreciate Katelyn walking the dog in this brutal heat. Katelyn was on time each day and managed our sweet little pup very well!”

I had booked dog walking with Cambria and I will continue this service with her as she is just great! She is very responsive and gives update during the walk which I love. She shows a love and care for my dog as if my dog were her own and I appreciate that about her. This is my first time using a service on rover and I am happy Cambria alleviated all the worries I had as a first time user. I definitely recommend her to care for your pets :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
