She took wonderful care of my pup! And her kids are so sweet with him, they even made him a card~ She also took wonderful photos of Jay to keep me updated. I was very grateful that Sylvia was super lenient with the last minute push-back pick up time. When Jay got back home, he was so tired and went right to bed. I'm sure he spent an awesome time playing around and being well taken care of~ 10/10 would recommend!

Gabriela and Thomas are fantastic! They are our go-to sitters for our puppy Ripley, who is jumping up and down with excitement when we bring him to their house, and usually whimpering with sadness when we have to bring him home. They are extremely responsive and accommodating and have been lifesavers for us on more than one occasion. We don't know what we'd do without them!

Stephanie was great! I’d recommend her if you are looking for a dog sitter in the area. She provided Mocha with her basic needs and my puppers seemed super happy to see her everyday I dropped her off. She sent updates as well as pictures throughout Mocha’s stay with Stephanie 😊

Great experience! Most doggy care places open too late or close too soon for our work schedule. She was able to accommodate our puppy last minute, with our schedule! Our puppy had fun with other doggies. We receive multiple pictures and videos! Great location for people living/working in the med center, downtown, midtown area!!

Dolly seemed happy and safe, but I was disappointed that the feeding instructions I provided didn’t appear to be followed. I dropped her off at 1040a.m. and explained that she eats dinner between 5–6 p.m. with treats throughout the day. When I picked her up around 8 p.m., her dinner and treats were still untouched in her bag. As a puppy, keeping her routine consistent is important, so I wanted to mention this for future stays.

Annet and her family is the only one I use for my large, older dog. He LOVES going to them for daycare and boarding. He is an anxious shepherd mix and his stays here are always very relaxing for him and he is always very happy to go to their home. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Shamareya was extremely communicative and very understanding of my dog’s specific potty training challenges, which I know many others may have been hesitant to take on. Her home is beautiful, spacious, and offers ample indoor and outdoor areas for dogs to enjoy. My dog came home exactly as I dropped him off, which reassured me he was in great hands throughout his stay. Highly recommend Shamareya!!

Thank you both for taking great care of coco at the last minute that I needed a sitter for her. This was my first time leaving her somewhere new and was nervous . From pics shared coco was happy and sleeping comfortable. She was held walked fed and properly cared for. I honestly think she was not ready to come back home once I picked her up lol. Thanks for the love you showed my elderly coco. She's found a second home for when I need a doggie day care!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters , I take care of dogs/cats as full time. I have plenty of time to be with your pup here at home , take them to the dog park, give them cuddles or go for a long walk. I try to keep them busy all day with activities. Here at pup mania your pups daily routine is first thing in the morning we take them out for there morning walk. Walks are usually 15-30mins . Then we head over back home and have breakfast. Usually after our walks some pups like to rest so we take our naps/ cuddles. Around afternoon time we have lunch and have another walk . Evening time we head over to the dog park when it’s not so hot and have them play fetch. Run all over the park to drain there energy. Pets in my home are treated as family. They are my children since it’s only me and my husband. We are both animal lovers especially dogs. We also have a pet spa here were we offer also baths for your pups . We have a dog park that is gated and we take them everyday.

About: I’ve had dogs around me from childhood through adulthood. I feel like dogs are some of the most loyal creatures on earth that will love you unconditionally. Watching and identifying their various personalities, has been intriguing for me. My dog and I spend a lot of time together. We enjoy walks through Terry Hersey Park a few times a week. We also take the opportunity for him to socialize with others, once a week, at Bill Archer Dog Park. With that being said, even though I don’t currently have a yard, there is plenty of opportunity for any dog I am watching to enjoy taking walks and play time in the outdoors. I currently work remotely, so I have the time to care for your fur baby while you are away. I am looking forward to caring for and getting to know your fur baby! Working from home allows me the opportunity to watch and care for dogs on a weekly basis. Every dog that I board temporarily becomes my responsibility and receive the same level of care as my own dog. Due to limited space, I'm only able to board 1 or 2 dogs at a time. Even though I would love to watch more, it's rewarding to be able give the proper amount of needed attention to each dog.

Nothing but gratitude for Alen and his wife. Our young Belgian Mallinois was with them for a week and they did an amazing job from start to finish, keeping me posted the whole way. My pup was well cared for and adapted quickly- I was worried how he would do in a new environment, but these two are pros! If they can take care of a Belgian Mallinois, they can take care of anything!

She was so kind and understanding. We got a new pup that had been crated his whole life but we were going out of town just days later.. Stephanie helped potty train him, bathed him when he woke up covered in poop 😵‍💫 she kept me updated the entire time with pics and texts. We will be booked her for our next trip but with both doggos!

As of July 2026, there are 2,224 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Barker. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Barker commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,224 sitters in Barker, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
