“Really great experience! She was able to take care of my poodle last minute. She sent dozens of pictures and took him on a lot of walks. He came back pooped and happy!”

“Bella had her first play day with Larry and had a fabulous time. She came home happy and worn out, which is great in my book. Thank you, Larry, for giving my baby a full day is fun!”

“Cheryn is a top-notch dog sitter and our active and energetic GSP Darcy couldn't have been happier during her week-long stay at her home; playing all day with the other pups in her spacious backyard. By the end of the week, Darcy was best friends with Cheryn and both her dogs Stoli and Casey. I received multiple daily updates from Cheryn with photos/videos. On top of being super friendly and communicative, Cheryn was also very flexible when we asked to extend Darcy's stay by a day due to a change in our travel plans. I'll for sure be sending our Darcy to Cheryn's for any future daycares / boardings - even if it is just so that Darcy can catch up with her good buddies :) Thanks again Cheryn!”

“I was in town for training and needed a safe place for my pup while I was in class. Michael provided exactly that. He has an obvious love of and connection with dogs. Although my guy was less than thrilled at staying with a stranger, I was 100% confident that he was in a great place. And when my training ran late on day 2, he was very accommodating and flexible on my pick up time. If/when I'm back in the area and need a dig sitter, I won't hesitate to call Michael.”

“Mae is wonderful. Not only is she patient to build the relationship with dogs, she is also very communicative. I was updated frequently, and it is relieving to see she gets along with my dogs very well. I highly recommend Mae!!”

“Another great day with Miranda and Paula! They took wonderful care of Rooster. They kept us updated with pictures and even took him to the park. He always has a great time there. We really appreciate how well they take care of him!”

About: I genuinely love and care for animals in general. From small to wild & Exotic. Running my own canine daycare has lifted my business off the ground to succeed at my goal. Many years of experience I’ve gained behavior knowledge, along with training to Vaccinate, medicate, and bathing all sizes. I adore my career. Overtime I’ve affiliated with many vet hospitals while majoring vet med, which is a plus for my clients during playtime accidents or general health conditions. Under parents approval are they okay to play with separate boarders. A lovely individual play is also provided. Overall, my home becomes your home once they find their spot 🫶🏽 Thank you in advanced for choosing me as your sitter. P.S their photos are added to my profile daily. They’re all stars✨ 🤭 I canine sit full time while taking online classes. A mother of 1 w/ an additional business in art in the comfort of my home. Pups fit perfectly in my schedule. PSA: Any pups stay longer than a week, please schedule a 1x Spa & bath during their stay or have them bathed before their boarding schedule starts only If they have strong odors. I will not accept clients with no baths included in boarding or before they arrive. My home is my safe and care free zone where my peace and serenity is. Positive energy is mandatory. Your pet will absorb that energy. Which also comes with treats and lots of belly rubs. Including your requirements, I’m happy to include in their boarding routine.
About: I have pet sat and dog walked for friends and family since I can remember - all sizes and ages of pets. I come from an incredibly caring family of animal lovers and we've all adopted and rescued at some point in our lives and shared our experiences of individual pet behaviors. I understand that unwalked or lonely pets can be difficult to raise with excess energy that has no outlet, so if I can help by breaking up their day a little, I'd love to help you out. I can drop in to keep them company, feed and play with them. I can take them for walks locally and treat them when we get home. I only take a few bookings a day so I can be more attentive to those pets, so they feel valued, rested and happy and not rushed in and out. About me: I'm an outgoing finance professional with more time on my hands recently and looking for more life balance and fresh air! I fit walks into my day around other commitments to help break up the day. Its good to get away from the desk for some air. It depends on the client. With high value dogs clients prefer that I stay on their property, so I've ensured that we have their favorite toy available to play fetch for 30 mins! For others, I ensure I have a safe walking route from the home and we take our water and poop bags and we walk fast or slow depending on the age and ability of the dog.
About: I have raised two dogs (13 years) that passed away last year, I work from home, and I love to keep a clean tidy space! I have a standard flexible Mon- Fri / 9am - 5pm tech job and I work from home. I don't make any loud noises and my job is very quiet. I love any routine and due to the flexibility of my job, I can also give many walks throughout the day. I also love to keep my place clean and I have wooden floors for all the fur babies.
“Thank you Claudia for taking great care of Lexi. I appreciated the updates and the pics. Lexi has been with several daycare providers and this was the first time she wasn't so eager to vacate the place. So you must be doing something right. Keep up the excellent care”

About: Hi! I’m Debbie and have cared for two cocker spaniels, Duncan & Tuckie. I take great pride in making my dogs a priority in my life, including them in all that I do & treating them as members of my family! I would love to offer you my dog caring services so that you can have peace of mind that your fur baby is in loving hands! I’m available for dog walks, drop ins for feedings, boarding as well as pet sitting in my home. I do live in a condo community, and while I don’t have a fenced yard, we do have a small dog park on our property. Rest assured that your fur baby will get plenty of potty breaks and get taken on walks to get plenty of fresh air, sunshine & exercise. I work from home three days out of the week, and go into the office on Wed & Thurs. from 8a-5p. I do drive home during my lunch hour to take the doggies on a potty break. I normally give dogs free range in my home. They are allowed on the couch and bed. I can also crate them while I’m away or at night if you prefer. You will need to supply the crate. I take the doggies out for potty breaks usually every four hours.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and dog parent myself, so I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes and personalities, including larger dogs, and I’m very attentive to their routines, behavior, comfort, and safety. I’m patient, affectionate, and happy to follow your pet’s normal schedule—whether that means walks, playtime, feeding routines, medications, extra cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I also pay close attention to small changes in behavior and will always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is being genuinely cared for. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet the way I’d want someone to treat my own: with patience, kindness, attention, and lots of love. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. I have 2 dogs of my own, so walks, feeding, playtime, attention, and making sure they’re comfortable and happy are things I’m used to planning my day around. I have a flexible schedule and can make time for walks, drop-in visits, or sitting throughout the week. I also like to keep pets on the routine they’re already used to, so I’m happy to work around their normal feeding, potty, exercise, and bedtime schedules. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow their instructions carefully for feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and any special routines. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention and companionship while respecting their space and personality.
“Tommie and Jeff are absolutely wonderful! They helped Maggie overcome some separation anxiety and she had a great day. I will definitely be bringing her back in the future.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for over 25 years and used to have two Yorkies and a Maltipoo — they were my babies! I naturally connect with dogs and treat every one as family. Friends often call me their dogs’ favorite pet grandma because I spoil them with love, gentle cuddles, and lots of attention. I create a calm, safe, and happy space where each pup feels understood, cared for, and truly at home. I recently moved from Ukraine to be closer to my kids and grandkids. I’m available throughout the whole week and have a very flexible schedule. Caring for dogs brings me joy, so I’m happy to spend quality time with your furry friends whenever you need — weekdays or weekends.h I have open front and back yards where I can safely walk your furry babies or take them for a relaxing stroll to the closest park. I always make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved — just like they’re part of my own family.

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 12. I grew up in a house full of them and over the years I have transitioned into dog sitting for others. What started as a favor for a friend has turned into something I truly enjoy. Its honestly something I'd do for free! I've cared for young dogs, senior dogs and puppies but I really have no preference as I love them all. If you choose me, your fur baby will get all the love, care and respect as if they were mine! I am currently home full time. I stay in the house for the most part but If I need to step out I ensure to be home in time for potty breaks, breakfast and dinner hardly leaving for more than 4 hours I keep our home very clean ensuring nothing is left on the ground for dogs to eat or accidentally choke on. We do not have a backyard, however, there is a large grassy area about 500 ft from our home where I currently take dogs to use the restroom. We do not smoke and our house is very quiet and peaceful as it is just me and my husband. I am very hypervigilant when walking dogs to ensure there are no other loose animals, that cars maintain distant and that I am anticipating your dogs needs. I take doggy safety very seriously.

About: I've been dog sitting and walking since 2018, caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, and needs—including senior dogs, disabled dogs, and pups with allergies. I love getting to know each dog's personality, quirks, and routine so they feel comfortable while their people are away. Whether your dog is full of energy or just wants a buddy to hang out with, they'll get plenty of love, attention, and care from Auntie. 🐾 Pet care is my full-time focus, so I have the flexibility to work around your pet's needs. Walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, belly rubs, couch cuddles, snack reminders (for the humans too 😅)—I'm here for it. My goal is to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible so they're happy, comfortable, and stress-free. I know how important trust is when someone else is caring for your pet. I'll take the time to learn their routine, personality, and any special needs before care begins. Whether they're a senior pup, need medication, have allergies, or just need a little extra patience, they'll be cared for like family.
“Carla and her husband are two of the nicest people I have ever met! They watched my Labradoodle “Guinness” during the day while I was working long hours. Guinness is very shy and introverted but by the third day he seemed happier to be with them than me…. lol seriously though, they are the best! They even sent me away with a very thoughtful care package.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a teenager, for almost 30 years! I have a 3yo pug who would love some friends to play with. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages puppies to senior dogs, including potty training, administering meds, spoon feeding, etc. I frequently walk/run the loop at memorial park or the trail at hermann park and would love to have your pup tag along! I also live within walking distance to walking trails and a dog park. I have a fenced yard, no children, one 3yo pug named Bruno Mars and I’m available any day of the week including weekends. I have never met a dog I didn’t like, and dogs tend to be drawn to me naturally. I will give your fur baby all the love it deserves and treat them as if they were my own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hedwig Village
I was a bit anxious since it was Lexi's first Rover experience. Michael was kind enough to send a video of Lexi within fifteen minutes of dropping her off. It was comforting to know that Lexi was cheerful and fine. I recommend Michael and will be using his services again. Thank you, Michael.

This was my first time to use Rover and Kupra was AMAZING! She welcomed my Honey with open and loving arms and hugged her and almost immediately sent a video of her exploring her home and settling in. When I picked my sweet girl up, Kupra gave me a nice report of how she did and Honey came out with her tail wagging. Kupra will be welcoming Honey in her home for an extended stay while I go to Germany. I feel 100% at ease and know she will be well taken care of. If you need a wonderful person to care for your pet then Kupra is the one you should use! Thank you Kupra!

Mae is one of the very best dog sitters I have come across on Rover. She genuinely loves what she does and Maximus can be a handful at times when he isn't comfortable with other dogs.....he bonded with her immediately and she took plenty of pictures and I could see how happy he was. Maximus had a stroke recently and is not 100%. She was very attentive and saved my behind for work I had to get done on my visit to Houston. Highly recommend!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hedwig Village commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
