“I was in town for training and needed a safe place for my pup while I was in class. Michael provided exactly that. He has an obvious love of and connection with dogs. Although my guy was less than thrilled at staying with a stranger, I was 100% confident that he was in a great place. And when my training ran late on day 2, he was very accommodating and flexible on my pick up time. If/when I'm back in the area and need a dig sitter, I won't hesitate to call Michael.”

“Yun Yun’s first time at daycare with Rowena. She did a wonderful job taking of him and sent us so many nice pics of him all during his day. All the pics, he looked so happy playing with the other small dogs in the house. She said he adapted to her very quick. This was very reassuring to us. We are so happy with her and we will definitely use her in the future. Thank you Rowena for a wonderful play date for Yun Yun!”

“Another great day with Miranda and Paula! They took wonderful care of Rooster. They kept us updated with pictures and even took him to the park. He always has a great time there. We really appreciate how well they take care of him!”

“Sherman is a regular with Hannah and her Beagle Beauties. He now knows Wednesday is play day to which he responds with much excitement! Thank you Hannah. My Wednesdays are very productive knowing he is well cared for with lots of love and attention.”

“Celia took great care of my dog Tex! She sent videos and pictures and kept me updated on all things. My dog had a wonderful time and felt right at home immediately! Looking forward to having Tex stay with her again!”

“Kimberly was amazing with my doggy! She was caring, reliable, and kept me updated which gave me so much peace of mind! :) Zoey was happy and well cared for 🤍”

“Lina was great!!!!! Our first time with her and she made me feel really comfortable leaving my baby. She sent plenty of pics and videos and my Koa had a wonderful day!!!! Will be back!!!!🐶🐶”

“Really great experience! She was able to take care of my poodle last minute. She sent dozens of pictures and took him on a lot of walks. He came back pooped and happy!”

“Payton was absolutely amazing with Teddy! From the moment we met, I felt completely at ease leaving him in her care. She went above and beyond—sending updates and photos, sticking to his routine, and treating him like her own. Teddy was happy, comfortable, and clearly so well loved. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would 100% recommend Payton to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their dog 🐾💙”

“June took great care of our 16 week old puppy. Simba was just back from his last set of shots and June made sure he was comfortable in the company of the other doggos in the house. She sent us pictures and video of Simba during his time there. This helped us feel at ease as well. We could see that SImba was happy and comfortable spending time there.”

About: Hi! My name is Sonia and I love animals. I have been pet sitting for the past 20 years and I cannot live without pets. I go on 3 mile walks or runs every day with Knox and I live in a very dog friendly neighborhood. I’ve lost two dogs to cancer and heart disease so I am familiar with giving medication and taking care of elderly pets. I have owned and fostered all types of breeds and ages. Knox is friendly with dogs and cats and loves everyone, he wants to be around the attention all day. I have occasional errands and meet-ups with friends, but otherwise, I will be at home. I also have experience with cats since I owned two for their entire lives! For clients who are looking for someone to stay in their home, I am more than happy to accommodate my services in your own home but I just want to let you know that I am working for about 6-7 hours a day, so I will not be at your home all day. I’ve tried this option in the past and have actually found that dogs are much less anxious staying in a place they are familiar with :) I always question if the dog has any separation anxiety. I've dealt with plenty of dogs that experience separation anxiety and I have learned many tricks on how to help ease them into the stay and to feel more comfortable. But having the heads up helps that much more! I don't really have any breed preferences, just that they are friendly! Knox would stay at home unless it is okay to bring him over now and then or you'd prefer if they were to stay with us in your home. It's all up to you and your preference for your pup :) I am working remotely during the day, but I am constantly checking up on the fur babies and taking breaks to play and love on them. My job is very flexible. In my home or yours, I will be following all instructions given by the owner and giving all the attention I can to your pet. I will be working M-F, but my hours are very flexible. Otherwise, I will be around your pet at all times unless I have errands to run.

“This is our second time booking with Tori and Lilo loves her! Before ever booking with her, he’d never done any type of doggy day care before. He was a little shy on our first booking but warmed up to her by the end of his first day. By day three he was excited to see her when she came to pick him up. I just had my second booking and as soon as he saw her, Lilo practically jumped into her arms. He actually remembered her and was happy to see her. Tori makes sure to walk him as regularly as he needs and he always comes back happy. He’s a velcro dog and she doesn’t mind LOL. I’d never use Rover before booking with Tori, but am glad I found this app and her! She makes my little guy feel comfortable and safe!”

About: Hi there, welcome to my page! Its such a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with you and get to know you and your pets! About me: I grew up with animals since I was a child and know the ins and outs of the needs and wants of every dog and cat. I have a dog of my own named Buttercup, Ive had her since she was a puppy. Not only that, i also have experience caring for a litter of puppies, rescued stray kittens and nursed them back to health until I found them a new home! I worked previously in a doggy daycare as a manager at a small business. I have knowledge of understanding a pet's body language, how to handle animals, recognizing bad behavior and approaching them with care. I can easily follow detailed routine, have experience with grooming, gland expressions, and no problem with cleaning up after them. Be assured that my top priority for all pets is their health and safety, and will look forward to meeting you and your fur babies! If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I take care of my dog every day. I can easily fulfill their needs before and after work so it wouldn't be a problem with scheduling! I have alot of free time and would love to spend it with the pets! My home is fenced in with a good sized backyard to play and run around in! You're welcome to come have a tour for a meet and greet or ask for pictures. I have one small fur baby who would get along with other people's dog. She would love to play and keep your fur baby company. However they do need to be gentle and friendly since she's small and a little shy, but she'll warm up eventually. I can do drop ins to check in on the pets or dog sit and make sure they have food and water and take them on walks and do play time or snuggle! And I'll throw in a bonus to pick up any messes left behind and help tidy up the house a little bit upon the request of the owner!
“Cheryn is a top-notch dog sitter and our active and energetic GSP Darcy couldn't have been happier during her week-long stay at her home; playing all day with the other pups in her spacious backyard. By the end of the week, Darcy was best friends with Cheryn and both her dogs Stoli and Casey. I received multiple daily updates from Cheryn with photos/videos. On top of being super friendly and communicative, Cheryn was also very flexible when we asked to extend Darcy's stay by a day due to a change in our travel plans. I'll for sure be sending our Darcy to Cheryn's for any future daycares / boardings - even if it is just so that Darcy can catch up with her good buddies :) Thanks again Cheryn!”

“Thank you Claudia for taking great care of Lexi. I appreciated the updates and the pics. Lexi has been with several daycare providers and this was the first time she wasn't so eager to vacate the place. So you must be doing something right. Keep up the excellent care”

“Lily hosted my bulldog puppy Maggie for doggie daycare and was responsive and sent pictures throughout the day. I was a little nervous at first about her husky Turbo being too high energy for my pup but he was totally calm and extremely patient with Maggie's intrusive puppyish bulldog ways.”

About: I genuinely love and care for animals in general. From small to wild & Exotic. Running my own canine daycare has lifted my business off the ground to succeed at my goal. Many years of experience I’ve gained behavior knowledge, along with training to Vaccinate, medicate, and bathing all sizes. I adore my career. Overtime I’ve affiliated with many vet hospitals while majoring vet med, which is a plus for my clients during playtime accidents or general health conditions. Under parents approval are they okay to play with separate boarders. A lovely individual play is also provided. Overall, my home becomes your home once they find their spot 🫶🏽 Thank you in advanced for choosing me as your sitter. P.S their photos are added to my profile daily. They’re all stars✨ 🤭 I canine sit full time while taking online classes. A mother of 1 w/ an additional business in art in the comfort of my home. Pups fit perfectly in my schedule. PSA: Any pups stay longer than a week, please schedule a 1x Spa & bath during their stay or have them bathed before their boarding schedule starts only If they have strong odors. I will not accept clients with no baths included in boarding or before they arrive. My home is my safe and care free zone where my peace and serenity is. Positive energy is mandatory. Your pet will absorb that energy. Which also comes with treats and lots of belly rubs. Including your requirements, I’m happy to include in their boarding routine.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
