“My dog had such a great time with Beatrice and her dogs! My dog was very anxious and shy upon arrival, but she made sure Buttercup felt welcomed in her home! She got to play and cuddle with the other pups and I look forward to working with her again in the future! ☺️”

“Megan’s place is so puppy friendly! My dog loves it there. He runs in the house like it’s his home. Megan sends pics and updates throughout the day. I never worry if Bandit is happy or getting love!”

“Daisy took great care of my dog, Choco! She was attentive, caring, and very responsible. Choco felt comfortable with her, and I appreciated the updates with messages and photos. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and passionate pet sitter. I will definitely trust her again in the future!”

“Ayanna was incredibly pleasant to interact with and very accommodating for Brody's last-minute booking. She kept me updated throughout his stay and even took plenty of pictures. Brody will certainly be returning, as I highly recommend her.”

About: I have experience taking care of my own cat for about 11 years and have always loved playing with dogs ever since I was a kid. I have a mixed border collie myself and can handle all the energy this type of breed brings. I’m currently working from home so I have all the time and attention to give to your babies. I can take them to the park as well. I know keeping a structure and routine is very important especially when they’re in a new space. I will try my best to stick with the schedule you provide so their second home feels just like home!

“Gabriela was amazing. She sent some great pictures and kept me updated. Archi loved his day with her evident by his big smile. I will definitely have Archi stay with her again. Thanks so much!”

“Lisa is absolutely amazing! My pup is very shy toward new things and people, but she felt very comfortable with Lisa. She sent pics and videos and it was nice to see my pup enjoying her stay. I am so glad to have found such a loving and caring person to care for my pup when we need a sitter!”

“Lily hosted my bulldog puppy Maggie for doggie daycare and was responsive and sent pictures throughout the day. I was a little nervous at first about her husky Turbo being too high energy for my pup but he was totally calm and extremely patient with Maggie's intrusive puppyish bulldog ways.”

“Leaving our two dogs with Liron during the day on July 4th was a huge blessing because we had a large family gathering at our house. Liron has a great set up for dogs who visit, and she was intent on learning what our dogs might need during their stay. Liron gave our diabetic dog her pill on schedule, which she texted us about when complete. During the stay, Liron sent a sweet photo of the dogs happily sitting with her, and then later she sent a video of the dogs playing. When we arrived for pick up, both dogs were contentedly settled down on the couch with the family watching World Cup. Such a sweet sight. Needless to say, our dogs had a great time, and we will not hesitate to book with Liron again in the future. It's clear that Liron loves dogs, and she works hard to provide a wonderful service to dogs and dog owners alike.”

About: I’m a shelter volunteer & have been fostering and volunteering for 4 years. I have worked with all kinds of dogs & behaviors. I can safely host a dog that cannot see/be around other dogs as well. I love doing training sessions (I’m not certified but I have rehabilitated a non-dog friendly dog to live with other dogs 🫶🏼. I have 2 personal dogs & a foster dog — all are very chill & mind their own business. I work remotely so I will be home during the day. I am flexible and love to have snuggle & outside breaks throughout the day 🥰. I am committed to having a safe and playful environment for all pups :) I am experienced in dog behavior/body language and know when things need to be diffused. I am able to host reactive dogs who cannot see other dogs as well. I have experience in reactivity/dog aggression.
“Ms. Rowena is amazing with dogs! She helped take in my pup at the last minute and I knew she was a great pick. She was friendly, communicative, attentive, and very patient. Thank you for looking after Buttercup, I look forward to having you look after her agian in the future! 🥹”

“Lewis was excellent in watching Max and sending us updates. We have been extremely happy with how professional and caring Lewis is to our pup. Highly recommend Lewis for your daycare needs.”

“She took wonderful care of my pup! And her kids are so sweet with him, they even made him a card~ She also took wonderful photos of Jay to keep me updated. I was very grateful that Sylvia was super lenient with the last minute push-back pick up time. When Jay got back home, he was so tired and went right to bed. I'm sure he spent an awesome time playing around and being well taken care of~ 10/10 would recommend!”

About: Hello There! I’ve been a loving dog owner since the age of 7. My parents got me a Pomeranian named Chloe and I’ve loved dogs ever since. I have two small pups of my own right now (a Shih-Poo and a Boston Terrier), so I’m used to big personalities in small bodies, lots of energy, and all the little quirks that come with small breeds. I also did a puppy training program with my Poodle-mix, which taught me a lot about building routines, positive reinforcement, and just understanding puppy behavior in general. So whether your dog is still in that wild puppy stage or they just need some extra patience, I have PLENTY of experience. I’m gentle, attentive, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. Your fur baby will always be safe, cared for, and paid attention to with me. I send updates, I pay attention to the little things, and I make sure your baby feels comfortable while you’re away. I’m very relaxed, and my dogs have full freedom to roam around their home — and I will make sure guest get that same comfort and freedom while still being safe and supervised. I work from home, so my babies go out every 2 hours for potty breaks, plus a good walk before or after my shift. Your dog will fall into that same routine with me - breaks, fresh air, and attention throughout the day. When time permits, I love taking them to the on-site dog park (only when the dogs are alone though) Your fur baby’s safety is my top priority. My home is clean, calm, and fully dog-friendly. I supervise all play, keep doors secured, and make sure every dog is comfortable, safe, and understood. I treat every dog with patience and respect. I’m gentle, responsible, and I pay attention special attention to their individual personalities to make sure they are comfortable. My babies have free roam in a safe environment, and any dog in my care gets that same comfort while still being watched, loved, and protected. “You can trust that your dog will never be left alone for long, and they’ll always be in a space designed for their safety and peace of mind.

About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my entire life and have had pets for as long as I can remember. Growing up with animals gave me a real love and appreciation for them, and caring for pets has always been something that comes naturally to me. I’ve been dog sitting for about 10+ years, which has given me a lot of experience working with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and needs. Over that time I’ve learned how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for when their owners are away. I genuinely love spending time with animals, whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just giving them attention and companionship. You can trust that your pet will be treated with the same care, patience, and attention that I would give my own. I’m currently a full-time student with more than enough time and experience for your fur baby. For onboarding I’m available during the week and weekends. I live right across from a dog park where I can spend time with your baby. I can’t wait to spend time with your pets whether it’s for onboarding, sitting or walks.
About: My dogs love hide and seek treats-athon. My kids join in on the game too. I highly encourage basic obedience training indoor and outdoor, whenever and wherever, and I’m happy to work with any dog or puppy on refining or learning these skills all the while unlocking their hidden talents. I’m an independent contractor and set my own schedule. When and if I have to step away, my dogs will be kept indoors and so will yours. I have a large crate and several play pens, if needed. I let my dogs out to relieve themselves as needed, which is usually 2-4 times daily. I walk my dogs in the afternoon and/or in the evening, at odd times to become accustomed with different times of days and weather/temperature conditions. I have a large high fenced backyard with a saltwater pool. I guided both my dogs to be confident swimmers and retrievers. They’ll only swim when invited. I don’t have a doggy door and keep the entry doors closed and locked at all times. The dogs will stay inside and free to roam, and will be let out as needed and will be monitored during playtime in the backyard. I don’t have back neighbors and my fence gates are locked and secured. If your pup needs alone time or their own space, I have a guest room upstairs that I can secure with a swing gate. I have two large 40x25 aluminum Kuranda beds with fleece padding for the dogs to relax at their leisure when indoors. I also have an extra large 47” Sytopia bed for the dogs to relax at their leisure when outdoors. My pool deck has two in ground umbrellas for extra shade during those hot summer days along with a covered patio and free standing canopy.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
