About: I’ve had dogs around me from childhood through adulthood. I feel like dogs are some of the most loyal creatures on earth that will love you unconditionally. Watching and identifying their various personalities, has been intriguing for me. My dog and I spend a lot of time together. We enjoy walks through Terry Hersey Park a few times a week. About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats since I was 5 years old. I have had both dogs and cats throughout my childhood and into adulthood. I even take care of the stray dogs and cats in my neighborhood. I homeschool my kids and we attend an in person homeschool co-op on Mondays that I tutor at so I would be available Tuesdays through Saturdays, unless we’re on vacation, which is rare but does happen. I spent years walking him, feeding him, playing with him, and giving him lots of love. He taught me so much about caring for dogs and understanding their different personalities. I also have a dog of my own, a 100-pound Doberman named Ozzy, who I love like my son. Because he’s a large, reactive dog, I’ve learned how to recognize his body language, manage walks safely, and make sure both he and the dogs around him feel comfortable. That experience has given me confidence handling dogs with different temperaments, from calm and easygoing to more reactive. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’m the go to dog sitter for my friends. I’ve looked after Chihuahuas, a Goldendoodle, a pit bull and a German Shepherd because they know how much I love dogs and trust me to care for them like they’re my own. No matter your dog’s size, age, or personality, I’ll make sure they’re safe, happy, well cared for, and given plenty of love and attention. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs and would love the opportunity to care for yours! I am currently taking online classes, so I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days. I do appreciate at least one day’s notice whenever possible so I can plan my schedule, but I’m also happy to accommodate same-day requests when I’m available. I’ll always do my best to make time for you and your pets! If I’m caring for your dog or cat in your home, I’ll make sure to ask all the important questions beforehand so I can stick to their normal routine. Whether your pet is crate-trained or not, I’m comfortable with both. I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention, and I will always ensure they’re safe, comfortable, and settled before I leave your home. “Christy is one of the best dog sitters we've ever had. She and her family are wonderful people who genuinely love dogs, and it truly shows in the way they care for them. She went above and beyond to make sure our dog was comfortable and happy throughout his stay. Our dog is a very picky eater and refused to eat his kibble, so Christy thoughtfully offered him eggs, cheese, chicken jerky, and even some of the homemade food they prepared for their own dogs to ensure he was eating well. Our dog also enjoyed plenty of playtime. Their large backyard gave him lots of room to run around and burn off energy, and Christy even gave him ice to help him stay cool in the hot Houston weather. One thing we especially appreciated was Christy's excellent communication. She kept us updated throughout the stay and shared plenty of photos and videos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to see how happy and comfortable our dog was.
