About: Hi, I’m Mari!🐾 Cats have a very special place in my heart. My oldest kitty, was actually my very first personal pet, and she has taught me so much about how unique, independent, and particular cats can be. Before having cats of my own, I also cared for the cats of family members and coworkers, including some wonderfully spicy personalities! Today, I’m a proud cat mom to two very different kitties, a 9½-year-old female cat and a young male kitten who recently turned one. Having two cats with very different personalities, energy levels, and temperaments has given me firsthand experience with different feline dynamics and the importance of understanding each cat individually. I’ve learned that cats absolutely do not come with a one-size-fits-all instruction manual, and I’m happy to take the time to understand what makes each cat comfortable and how they prefer to be cared for. My older girl was recently diagnosed with arthritis in her hips, which has taught me to be more intentional and patient when administering medication and helping her stay comfortable. I understand that older cats may need a little extra patience, gentler handling, and attention to changes in their normal routines. My youngest has also given me plenty of practice in the art of patience! He can be particularly difficult during grooming appointments, so I’ve had to learn how to slowly introduce him to being handled, groomed, and exposed to things he isn’t naturally comfortable with, including, of course, every cat’s greatest enemy: water. 😂 Through that experience, I’ve learned the importance of slow introductions, positive reinforcement, and never forcing a cat beyond what they’re comfortable with. I’m also a little bit of an adamant litter-box cleaner. 😂 We have two litter boxes in our home that are cleaned twice a day, and absolutely nothing is automated, not even feeding times! I’m very accustomed to being hands-on with my cats’ daily care and paying attention to their habits, appetite, litter-box use, and overall behavior. That said, I know technology can be incredibly helpful, and I’ve done plenty of research on automatic feeders, litter systems, cameras, and other pet-care tools. I’m comfortable learning and adapting to whatever setup works best for your home and your pets. Whether your cat is shy, social, independent, playful, spicy, senior, or somewhere in between, I’ll take the time to meet them where they are. My goal is to make your cat feel safe and comfortable while keeping their normal routines as consistent as possible. And because I know how much peace of mind it brings to see your babies while you’re away, I’m big on communication! About: I’ve spent the at least 10 years caring for dogs of all ages, from tiny puppies learning the ropes to seasoned seniors who just want a cozy nap and some love. I've rescued a few puppers and ended up keeping 2! I’ve helped with basic training, puppy routines, and plenty of playtime in between! I treat every pup like my own — with patience, affection, and lots of belly rubs. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or keeping up with training, your dog will feel right at home. (Currently a dog mom to 1, 8 year old lab mix rescue). Currently working from home with a very flexible schedule! 7am-5pm I may have a few meetings with tons of breaks. I typically do two long walks a day (30 min each) and at least 6-8 potty breaks throughout the day. I like letting your pet tell me what they need in terms of outdoor visits. My Bichonpoo is definitely extra 😂, and Mrs. Lucy was so patient and attentive with him. She kept us updated throughout the day with photos 📸 and little updates, which I greatly appreciated. It made being away from him so much easier! You know you made the right choice when your dog is not sure he wants to leave when you come to pick him up! 😆❤️ Even better, his normal routine was completely back to normal the very same day we brought him home.
