About: I’m the proud owner of Skye, my friendly 6-year-old pedigree Labrador. Being around dogs isn’t just something I enjoy — it’s second nature, and I couldn’t imagine life without them. I pride myself on only taking one dog at any time to ensure they have the best care and my full attention throughout their stay! Having recently moved from the UK, I’m currently enjoying a career break while settling into my new home. After 25 years in the aviation industry, I now look forward to spending quality time with Skye and providing loving, attentive care to your pets. I am very flexible and can provide care 7 days a week. Your furry friend’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! I provide a secure, fully fenced backyard with plenty of grass for playtime, and my home is dog-friendly and welcoming. You can trust me to care for your pet with love and attention, and I’m happy to provide as many—or as few—updates as you like so you can stay connected while you’re away.

About: FREE extra pets for sitting! Hi, I’m Andrew. I’m a US Army Veteran of the Iraq War, 2014 Texas A&M graduate, currently enrolled in an online graduate program through Texas Tech for Clinical Rehab Counseling. My goal is to work with other Veterans when I graduate. I walk multiple Rover doggos every morning and evening, and even weekends. I pride myself on being punctual, having good communication with my clients, and making bonds with the dogs I walk. Book me to add your loves to my schedule. I am a long-time dog owner, currently two huskies who I consider part of my family. I walk them every day, and they let me know when it’s time. Spoiled with love, toys, more love, treats, even more love, good food, a little more love and scratches of course. Since joining Rover, I’ve gained a wealth of experience handling dogs of different ages and needs, and clients with different expectations and levels of instruction. I’ve sat for disabled dogs, older dogs, young and hyper dogs. I’ve sat for and walked dogs in apartments, gated communities, even a senior living facility. And I’m ready to go above and beyond. I helped a client who had surgery by taking their dog to the vet. If I can do it, I will help. I have a big heart for pets. They love us unconditionally after all. They deserve it. Please note: I do not sit for or walk aggressive dogs or breeds known for dangerous behavior. I, as a provider, am open to legal liability if there’s ever any incidents. It’s simply not worth the risk, and though I am insured, I cannot afford the liability those types of incidents would require. I hope you understand, this is a business decision, not a judgment. Also please note I am not a dog trainer. My dogs are spoiled! If you are looking for someone to walk your dog like all those trainer videos, that’s not me. I want dogs to have fun on their walks, not feel like they just get what they can get out of them. I let them sniff around, look at ducks or squirrels, mark, all while maintaining safe boundaries for your pet and other pedestrians and pets. And none of this means I will not reinforce training expectations you have already instilled in your pet, simply let me know what those are. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to get to know me better. We can have a video chat. As to my schedule, I am currently in an online graduate program, so I have a flexible availability. Please reach out to me about my current walking schedule for regular clients as to what times I have available and what may be best for you. For some reason, this app allows people to book requests during times I am already booked, so that is one thing we’d have to discuss. What can you expect from me? Lots of love, cuddles, scratches, treats, playtime. Your pets will have my full attention. I know I charge a little more than others, but that’s because you’re paying for the best. Someone who is reliable, trustworthy with your home and pets, and who meets and exceeds your expectations and instructions. I once hired a sitter who didn’t realize I had a camera in my den. She spent 95% of the time I paid for to give my dogs some attention on her phone. She even swatted away my dogs when they approached! Then snapped some pics, fed them and left. I NEVER want my clients to feel that way. I will treat your pets the way I would hope people would treat my own.
About: 10+ years! I have 4 dogs at home, and occasionally work with my veterinarian friend as well as taking care of my friend’s 3 cats and 2 dogs for extended periods. I love spending the time, while respecting everybody’s individual differences, in figuring out what character I have the pleasure of being with— the goofy kind that wants me to jump around with them and go on walks, the type that’d like to stay on my lap with endless massages, or some that’d rather keep their personal space! I’m a recent biology graduate and have an interest in veterinary/medical sciences, and I’d love to meet new personalities to get more experience. This is my first summer since graduating, and have very open availablity as such. Pet sitting alongside a summer class is the only thing currently on my schedule. I would only be able to do client house visits for walking/care, but I am very detail oriented and serious about curating a comfortable time for your pets but also at managing any specific procedures you’d like me to follow. I’ve worked at a research lab for over 3 years and thus have a lot of experience with following instructions to the T!

“Robin is excellent she is very kind my dog talk to her immediately keep you posted on when she’s coming my dog had no problem with her she is a sweet person hope to use her again”

About: Hi!! My name is Remi, I’m 19 years old. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life, and come from a household where we value our pets and their needs! I’ve been pet sitting for families for about 3 years, and I’ve built trust and bonds with not only the families but their pets as well! I’ve learned how to properly take care of animals, and give them the love they deserve. Pet sitting is something that I love doing, and have a true passion for. I have experience with young, senior, and multiple pets! I currently work part-time, and I take classes at the University of Houston. However, I always have time to look after pets, especially on weekends. I am perfectly okay with pets coming to my house or going over there, which ever you prefer! My yard is fenced. I have three cats and one dog, but they will not bother your pets. I tend to spend all my time with your pets to make sure they are getting lots of love and care while you’re away! I always take photos as well, and will send them to you to show that your fur baby is well taken care of!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pecan Grove
We had a wonderful experience with our pet sitter Jessica! She took excellent care of our dogs and kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared for our pets and treated them like her own. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and comfortable when we returned home. She was reliable, attentive, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire stay. We would absolutely trust her with our pets again and highly recommend her to anyone🤗

She is absolutely amazing. I have already booked her for other services and recommended her to others. Sweetest individual and takes the upmost care of your pet like they’re her own!🤍 She’s also very flexible worth is amazing as my schedule sometimes changes, she’s there when I need her!!

Shannon is an exceptional dog walker for my dog, Millie. She is consistently reliable, trustworthy, and attentive. Millie is always well cared for and exercised. I also really appreciate the updates and photos, which gives me peace of mind knowing Millie is in good hands. I highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker.

Erika was great! She was able to walk my two dogs with no issues! I had a situation that came up last minute and had to find a walker the very next day. She was the only one that was able to take in the job and was willing to stop by late to do a meet and greet before the walk the next day. When she met the pups, they were nervous but that didn’t scare her away. I told her to just walk inside, get comfortable and they will relax after a few minutes. After a few treats and sitting on the floor at the dogs’ level, all was alright again. The next day, she arrived on time and was able to get them hooked up with ease and took them in their walk. She updated me how’s the walk went ( which it went great!). I couldn’t have asked for better! She is definitely in my books for future walks!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
