“First time leaving my dog at home while we went on a trip. Gina took exceptional care of her, our guinea pigs, and fish. Very responsive and sent lots of pictures and updates. Will rebook with Gina and her daughter in the future!”

“Whitaker was amazing with our cats. He took the time before the booking to do a meet and greet. He followed all instructions and updated us while we were away, and his pricing is very reasonable. He has a great personality and is a true animal lover as well. We feel that our cats were in good hands and feel comfortable with him caring for them in the future.”

About: I've had fur babies over a span of 30 years, from young adulthood to my married life. I continue to care for many pets for our friends and family and treat them as our own, providing special love and attention. Senior dogs have a special place in my heart and we understand their need for extra gentleness and care. I will keep your fur baby safe and look forward to meeting them. I’m retired and available for lots of play time, walks, and cuddles. I’m available for boarding or drop-ins anytime of the week with advance notice. I have a fenced yard and/or can crate your fur baby anytime if needed. I will care for and protect your pets as if they are our own.
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life! We had a family dog when I was growing up and I would house/ pet sit for my neighbors when they would go out of town. I currently have three fur babies. A 2 year old Cane Corso/ Stafford Terrier named Moose, a 2 year old pit bull mix named Oakley and a cat named Romeo! Having three animals under one roof has been quite the experience but I’ve loved every moment of the chaos. Since I currently work from home full time I’m available Monday- Sunday most weeks and my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye on your baby and adhere to whatever potty break or play schedule you have set.
About: Growing up, my family used to always foster animals and provide cat and dog-sitting/boarding/etc. for the local animal hospital as well as friends/family/neighbors. We personally had 7 pets, at one point (three dogs and four cats who were all best friends). To this day, I’m the designated cat and dog-sitter for all of my friends. Everybody knows I love watching their pets and will spoil them if their mom/dad is okay with it. It’s honestly such a treat for me to get to spend the day/week/etc. caring for and hanging out with animals! Currently, I have one cat (Baby) who is 14 years old and has been a part of my family since she was a kitten (and since I was a child). I have a large house with a huge yard. So, I have the ability and space to care for additional animals (including keeping them apart from my own, if desired). I currently work part-time and am taking a step away from my professional career. I really do find so much joy when I’m with dogs and cats, and it brings me so much happiness to spend time with animals. Due to the loss of a loved one recently, I have decided to focus more on what is truly important in life and take a break from the stressful office-work life. So my schedule is fairly open! I have a large yard that is completely fenced off away from the road and private from my neighbors. I live in a spacious house in a very safe and great neighborhood. I have one cat (14 years old) that I've had since childhood. My cat (Baby) has her own room that she spends the day in/sleeps in (though I leave the door open for her to roam the house, if she wants to, throughout the day). If I do have a pet who will spend the day with me, I will typically leave her room door closed and keep the animals apart. Baby is very friendly, sweet, and docile, and she is wonderful with other animals if they would also like to be friends with her (and so long as the pet parent is okay with me introducing Baby to their pet). If another pet does not seem to want to meet/befriend/mingle with her, or shows no interest in getting to know each other, Baby is very polite and respectful, and she will simply leave them alone/follow their lead. Baby grew up among three other cats and three dogs (the family pets we had in my childhood home) all at once. So, she gets along really well with both other dogs and other cats; and, she has somewhat of a hybrid dog/cat personality, which makes for very cute and entertaining interactions as she joyfully will play with, sleep next to, and welcome any pet visitor or animal guest we have in the house whether they're a fellow cat or a large dog. Again, of course, if a pet parent prefers that their pet is not introduced to other animals, or requests that I keep Baby separate from their pet, I act accordingly and am sure to respect their wishes -- keeping the two away from one another at all times and for the entire duration of their stay in our home. Any questions, please feel free to ask :)

About: My name is Joyce. I am recently retired and looking to enjoy life with what I love most, dogs. I just lost my senior dog and not yet ready for another pet. What better way to heal than taking care of other sweet furbabies. As a retired grandmother of four in my spare time I prefer snuggling up with a sweet pup. I am energetic, healthy and love taking long walks and playing fetch with dogs. I live in a small town home community right outside the Heights area with a nice patio and plenty of gated green space for animals to run, walk and play. Please consider me as your pet's caregiver and I promise to take special care of your dog or cat. :)
“I have never had anyone watch my two girls besides family before, so I was extremely hesitant and nervous about having anyone else watch them. Karen was great! We met before I completed the booking, and she got to meet the girls. Karen helped ease my nerves with her communication for during and after the visits. I am very happy with the service she provided. I would highly recommend Karen if you are looking for someone to care for your fur babies. Karen, thank you again! I was able to enjoy my time away without having to worry about my babies.”

“We had a wonderful experience! She visited our 4.5-month-old kitten twice a day and always took great care of her. She spent time playing with her, made sure she had fresh food and water, and kept the litter box clean. Our kitten was happy and relaxed when we came back, and we really appreciated the peace of mind during our trip. Highly recommended!”

About: I’ve had pets in my life since I was born but I started counting my years of experience from when I moved out, got married, and had 2 dogs of my own that recently passed. We got them both when they were puppies and cared for them all the way into their seniorhood so I have experience taking care of puppies as well as elderly dogs. I work from home so I will be here to care for your pet the majority of the time (I’m happy clarity more in person). I hope to work with you and love on your pet soon! If at my house, I can watch your dogs here while I work from home. We have plenty of yard space if your pet likes being outside and if they don’t, I’m available to let them out anytime throughout the day. If at your house, it will just depend on the day/time and if I’m able to work from there. If I can I can just bring my laptop but if I can’t, it will need to be in the evening when I am clicked out. At my house, our dogs were mainly inside dogs so they were with me the majority of the day and anytime they needed to go out we let them. I will follow whatever feeding schedule needed; my dog’s food ranged from solid to soft food (our older dog had some teeth extracted and didn’t have many left) or a mix of both so I’m comfortable giving either. Water is usually always out for them to get when they needed it. Our smaller dog was allowed on the couch and bed and our bigger dog was only allowed on the couches here and there but was allowed on the bed. We did not crate them but I am familiar with crating. For other places, I will follow whatever routines/rules requested.
“We had used the in-home visit service with Besima three times now and she had provided wonderful care for our cat Eddy. Besima is very reliable and thorough in taking care of our cat. We definitely will use her service again in the future.”
“I was so happy to have Leah stop in and take care of our pups. She met them ahead of time and made sure she understood what we needed done. We hired her at the last minute and she was very flexible. One of our dogs is super scared of everyone and she did great with Leah! I will definitely hire again without hesitation.”

“I absolutely loved Taylor! She is very friendly and it didn’t take long for our dog Teddy to warm up to her. I will definitely be using Taylor and Rover again if she’s available. ?”

“Genesis is a fantastic sitter! She had to watch 4 different animals including my reactive/aggressive elderly chihuahua in very brief sessions (30min 1/day) and I'm so impressed with the level of care and consideration she gave our pets. When my chihuahua refused his regular medication, Genesis offered to come outside of our booked time to try again and went above and beyond at her next visit to make sure he got his dose, trying to put it in different foods and treats until he finally successfully took it. She took great pictures of our babies and gave us detailed updates and was so compassionate even when my chihuahua was reactive towards her. She's also very professional, kept the dog areas clean and organized, and her experience and efficiency really showed in their care. We're so grateful and happy that we had such a positive experience our first time using Rover, and we'll definitely be booking with Genesis again. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter! Thank you so much Genesis!!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals all of my life, with rescuing strays off the street, pet sitting and training my personal pets. I have so much love to spread to your babies and will treat them as my own! I am currently working from home, so I am home all day everyday, and can provide a fun and safe place for your pet to hang out at while you’re working or a weekend getaway for them while you enjoy yours! Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Katy
We were so lucky to have found Marisol as a back up to our other Rover sitter. We have used her twice and have her scheduled for two more visits. She read and followed the instructions in our dogs profile and even brought in a package for us! Our dog was happy when I arrived home from work!

This was our first time using Rover in years, and Bailey made the whole experience seamless. She was so kind, attentive, and communicative — keeping us updated quickly and often. We loved all the photos and updates she sent, which really put us at ease while we were away. Our pups absolutely adored her, and she followed every instruction with care. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter experience! Thank you, Bailey! 😊

Anaya was great to work with. Very happy with picking her for my one pup while I was gone. Faith was very well taken care of, I was kept up to date and she worked with my schedule with zero complaints. From all the pictures its easy to tell faith was extremely happy with her car taker and I %100 reccomend for anyone needing a reassuring/attentive sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
