About: I've had dogs since I was 8 years old. I've always had a big heart, so I took the role of main caregiver for my pups and my kitty; I walked, fed, cleaned them which continued into my adulthood as I was the committed carer for my friends' dogs. For a short time (4 months), I moved to Mexico and was a live-in dog carer for two puppies for a flight attendant with a very sporadic schedule before I moved on and becomg a dual carer for my partner's three dogs of varying ages and we rescued a kitten from the streets and raised him. Unfortunately, I also have experience with caring for aging doggies and sitting with them as they passed over the doggy rainbow. I currently work full-time with special needs kids from 8-5 daily. I'm available for drop-ins after work, overnight stays and I have full weekend availability! I am available for walks and stays at your home. My care for your home will reflect the deep care I have for your pet. I would love know what you freel comfortable with in your home and integrate your needs as I make sure your pet(s) are well cared for!

“Sabra was great with our dog and very professional! She sent multiple pictures along with a written overview for each visit to our house. We felt very comfortable and knew our dog was in good hands. I 100% recommend her and we will definitely be using her again! Thanks so much Sabra.”

“Starla is amazing. She loved my kitties like her own and was very reliable at dropping in to feed them. She sent lots of pictures and gave details in her daily reports of how they were doing. 10/10 recommend and we will be using her again next time we go out of town!”

“Claudia is a wonderful, personable care giver to our pups. I felt totally confident in her drop ins while we were away. She sent pics and video so I could see my babies happily eating and playing. We are using her for future dates and are so happy to have found her!”

About: FREE extra pets for sitting! Hi, I’m Andrew. I’m a US Army Veteran of the Iraq War, 2014 Texas A&M graduate, currently enrolled in an online graduate program through Texas Tech for Clinical Rehab Counseling. My goal is to work with other Veterans when I graduate. I walk multiple Rover doggos every morning and evening, and even weekends. I pride myself on being punctual, having good communication with my clients, and making bonds with the dogs I walk. Book me to add your loves to my schedule. I am a long-time dog owner, currently two huskies who I consider part of my family. I walk them every day, and they let me know when it’s time. Spoiled with love, toys, more love, treats, even more love, good food, a little more love and scratches of course. Since joining Rover, I’ve gained a wealth of experience handling dogs of different ages and needs, and clients with different expectations and levels of instruction. I’ve sat for disabled dogs, older dogs, young and hyper dogs. I’ve sat for and walked dogs in apartments, gated communities, even a senior living facility. And I’m ready to go above and beyond. I helped a client who had surgery by taking their dog to the vet. If I can do it, I will help. I have a big heart for pets. They love us unconditionally after all. They deserve it. Please note: I do not sit for or walk aggressive dogs or breeds known for dangerous behavior. I, as a provider, am open to legal liability if there’s ever any incidents. It’s simply not worth the risk, and though I am insured, I cannot afford the liability those types of incidents would require. I hope you understand, this is a business decision, not a judgment. Also please note I am not a dog trainer. My dogs are spoiled! If you are looking for someone to walk your dog like all those trainer videos, that’s not me. I want dogs to have fun on their walks, not feel like they just get what they can get out of them. I let them sniff around, look at ducks or squirrels, mark, all while maintaining safe boundaries for your pet and other pedestrians and pets. And none of this means I will not reinforce training expectations you have already instilled in your pet, simply let me know what those are. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to get to know me better. We can have a video chat. As to my schedule, I am currently in an online graduate program, so I have a flexible availability. Please reach out to me about my current walking schedule for regular clients as to what times I have available and what may be best for you. For some reason, this app allows people to book requests during times I am already booked, so that is one thing we’d have to discuss. What can you expect from me? Lots of love, cuddles, scratches, treats, playtime. Your pets will have my full attention. I know I charge a little more than others, but that’s because you’re paying for the best. Someone who is reliable, trustworthy with your home and pets, and who meets and exceeds your expectations and instructions. I once hired a sitter who didn’t realize I had a camera in my den. She spent 95% of the time I paid for to give my dogs some attention on her phone. She even swatted away my dogs when they approached! Then snapped some pics, fed them and left. I NEVER want my clients to feel that way. I will treat your pets the way I would hope people would treat my own.
“Esmerelda is great at what she does, my dog warmed up to her very quickly and they had fun together. She's a really sweet lady and easy to talk to. This is my first time using the app but feel so comfortable leaving my puppy in good hands with Esmerelda.”

“First time using rover and was a bit nervous about using someone I didn’t know but Reagan was great! Check ins on time and great communication. She did a meet and greet with my cat and dog beforehand which helped my nerves. Will definitely book Reagan again!”

“Katelyn was amazing! She made me feel really comfortable and my girls really took to her. She was reliable & consistent. She sent me pictures of my babies every day which really put my mind at ease. My girls were happy and well cared for when we got home so that tells me that they were comfortable with her. She did a great job! Would definitely recommend her and would love to have her care for our girls again.”

“We have a large, very skittish rescue dog who is terrified of most strangers. Stephanie was able to coax her out of her crate and into the backyard for a potty break which to me was an absolute miracle! I would highly recommend Stephanie and will be using her again and again. She is a godsend!”

About: Pets have been a cherished part of my life for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I've always considered them true family members. The love they give to you, and being such loyal companions who deserve the same care, respect, and devotion we give to our own children. Throughout the years, I've taken full responsibility for their well-being, from feeding them on schedule, ensuring they get plenty of exercise and outdoor time, providing comfort when needed, and always prioritizing their happiness and health. I would and have gone to great lengths to ensure their safety and joy, treating them with the unconditional love they so freely give in return. I recently left my full-time job to pursue my families dream of owning and operating our own business, which we have now actually started together. With this significant life transition, I am seeking a flexible side opportunity that can generate additional income while aligning with helping those in need, all while getting to work with animals, especially dogs! When I discovered this app, it felt like the ideal combination, connecting with pet owners who require assistance with dog walking, playtime, check-ins, or basic care. It perfectly merges meaningful work, while providing companionship and support to animals. This opportunity fits perfectly with my values and allows me to make a positive difference in the lives of both pets and their owners. I am excited about the potential and eager to get started! Treating them with the care and respect they deserve, all while giving them the attention they want! I love being with them as much as they love being with us!

“This is the second time we have used Robin to take care of Georgia. We know Georgia loved her because she ran right up to Robin when she came to pick up the key. Always professional and loving on our sweet pup.”

Richmond dog parents share their Rover experiences
Erin was wonderful! She was very open and communicative coming up to the visit, taking the time to ask thoughtful questions and asking additional details about Howard. She arrived on time, provided thorough check-ins on the app, and sent me pictures as well letting me know he was happy and healthy.

V is the most patient and understanding individual we have met to care for our precious Wrigley. Our 5 year old Covid pup is not trusting of strangers, V took her in stride and they are on their way to being inseparable! No matter the situation V is the most trusted person we could have asked for
