“I hesitate leaving a review, not because Nelson wasn't terrific because he was. The reason being that the review may convince others to book Nelson and then I'll have more competition for his time. Nelson told me that dogs love him. Well, I can confirm that. When we returned from a 3-day trip, our dogs met us with wagging tails and some excitement. However, previously, I had to be careful coming into our home because they might knock me down welcoming us home. This time they kept looking behind us waiting for Nelson to appear. That was a bit humbling. Nelson's college schedule worked for us. He was free on the weekends and was able to stay with our 3 dogs for long periods of the day. He sent a multitude of photos, mostly with our dogs cuddling up with him. If he had a question, he would text me, which I loved. We became modern pen pals. One of our dogs was bothering a frog in our yard one day and Nelson noticed foam coming out of her mouth. So, he searched the internet and found out what to do and he did it and the dog was fine. When it was time for him to leave, he cleaned up everything so that I didn't have to. It was great. I no longer have any qualms about leaving our dogs. Nelson took away all my stress.”

I have fostered though SAPA in the past, and have done a few rescues on my own. I also take pride in going the extra mile reuniting pets with their owners when lost. I have experience with cats, kittens, dogs and puppies. I can come by and check on your pets multiple times a day, walk them, or take care of them in my home. If they are crate trained it is good but not necessary. I am even available most holidays. My pets are my main priority and I understand the importance of a reliable caregiver. Katy went above and beyond with our senior Frenchie girl, Maggie. Maggie began having seizures in February and is on meds, but there's still a risk of seizure and she needs regular medications plus guidance/assistance because the meds make her loopy. Katy brought Maggie to work with her so that she could be observed carefully and when Maggie did have a seizure she suggested we have Maggie stay at her own home and be watched by her partner so that she wasn't stressed out by the drive each day. We felt so secure with Katy caring for Maggie and are already trying to book her again!
I don’t think that I could’ve got a better dog sitter. I had someone else cancel on me the day before we’re supposed to leave for an 8 day trip. From start to finish Taia was wonderful with taking care of my dogs. She sent pictures, updates and when we came back the apartment looked the exact same if no better than how we left it. I’m going to book her for every stay from here on out!!!
Suzanne went above and beyond with our two dogs! We have a young puppy who still has a lot of difficulty sleeping and Suzanne was so incredibly patient with him and went out of her way to make sure he was well taken care of during our time away. Amy was great! She took phenomenal care of our two dogs. Followed our instructions to the letter. She sent daily pictures and clips of the dogs playing and on walks. She even came over for 30 minutes a day early to meet the boys so they wouldn't view her as a stranger. She even ran our robot vacuum daily so we didn't return to a hairy mess. This was my first experience with Rover, and I’m truly so impressed. My dog unexpectedly had surgery, and I needed to hire someone to watch him when I attended a wedding to ensure he didn’t scratch/lick his wounds as he is a little MacGyver and manages to get out of every cone known to man. Insert Britteny saving the day! She was willing to help with a last minute request, and she was SO attentive to Benny. She sent me so many pictures which eased my anxiety so much, and gave Benny his pain and antibiotic medication regimen without any hiccups. She graciously accepted every request I had, and went above and beyond. The proof was really the fact that in many of the pictures, Benny is curled up cuddling Britteny. I would absolutely recommend Britteny for any of your dog walking/watching needs! Both Benny and I can’t wait to ask for her help again soon.
