“It is so difficult to find a pet sitter who can deal with giant breeds (particularly a hyper puppy). Aundria was patient and professional. She kept me informed and sent photos/videos of our baby. Will definitely hire again! A+ experience.”

“Sabrina was very patient with my Toby on his first time with me leaving him while I went away on a short trip. Would absolutely recommend her for anyone in need of a sitter!”

About: I’ve had the joy of having pets all my life. I’ve always had a passion for saving animals who were displaced or hurt. I currently have a cat and a dog who I adopted as rescued animals when they were young. I have experience with all sizes and ages of animals. I have lots of energy and enjoy walking dogs, taking them to dog parks, and giving them all my attention. The love I have received from animals makes my heart soar and feel it’s a gift that I’ve been entrusted with receiving. I’d appreciate the opportunity to be in your dogs life as their caregiver when you are unable to be there. I’m currently working part-time with a flexible schedule so I have plenty of availability to take care of your furry family member(s). I’m available usually any day of the week for drop-ins and walks. I walk my dog every day in my neighborhood plus we have a backyard where we go to play to get some energy out. I have many toys and treats for both my animals to keep them stimulated. We like fetch - both the dog and the cat enjoy playing. My cat will catch toys in the air and bring them to me! He loves attention and playtime. I make sure there is always food and water available and treats when they do something great, or cute ;) While taking of your pet, we could do any of that but I do like to let the dog choose how much energy they can give me so I don’t over due it. I’ll need your guidance on what your dog likes best and how I can give them the best care to meet their needs.
“We absolutely LOVED her! She was seriously the best dog sitter. Our dogs looked so happy with her, she was incredibly attentive, sweet, caring, and kept us updated throughout the entire stay. You can genuinely tell how much she cares about the dogs she watches. We will 100% be booking with her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets!”

“Erin was wonderful! She was very open and communicative coming up to the visit, taking the time to ask thoughtful questions and asking additional details about Howard. She arrived on time, provided thorough check-ins on the app, and sent me pictures as well letting me know he was happy and healthy.”

“Bobbi was so wonderful from the very first meeting. She was on time every day and took such loving care of our two dogs. We didn’t have to worry about anything. She washed the dishes, gave them freshwater and loved on them so that they probably forgot we were gone. Highly recommend her. !!!!”

“We went out the town and we felt comfortable to found persons who took care of our pets with responsibility and love, they update every day about our dog and cat. We are so grateful for your help.”

About: I have over 18 years of experience a both owning and fostering for dogs, from many breeds, Chihuahua to German Shepherds, from puppies to older pups. I’ve also been through several obedience trainings and have experience administering medication. We can walk, feed and play as their schedule needs. Dogs can be uncrated for most of the day, however they will be crated at night. We have a fully fenced yard for extended outdoor time and ability to stick to potty schedules. For home visits, we provide a bathroom break, a walk or playing fetch.
“We were absolutely delighted with the care Jillian gave our dogs when we were traveling for five days. She sent us many pictures of our girls, fed them on time, and gave them medicine when appropriate. She spent time giving them lots of pets and scratches. We will definitely have Jillian as our sitter again.”

“Claudia was great. Very responsive and sent pictures of how well beamer was doing. My friend was supposed to watch him but at the last minute it feel through and Claudia was there to tie up the loose ends. She's greatness! Thank you to Claudia!”

About: Hi! I’m Lindsey! I’ve loved and cared for dogs for most of my life. Growing up on 20 acres, I was surrounded by animals and learned early that pets are family. Today I’m the proud dog mom of a German Shepherd and a Basenji, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. When you trust me with your pet, I treat them like one of my own. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break, a walk, playtime, fresh water, medication, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’m happy to help. I work in healthcare, where being dependable, responsible, and trustworthy is part of my everyday job. I understand how important it is to have someone you can rely on, and I’ll always care for your home and your pet with that same level of respect. You’ll also receive photo updates so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for. I especially enjoy active dogs and love playing fetch, going for walks, or simply giving them the attention they deserve. I look forward to meeting you and giving your pet the same love and care I’d want for my own! Hi! I’m Lindsey, a part-time dental hygienist and lifelong dog lover. On my days off, I offer dependable drop-in visits for busy pet parents. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. About: I’ve familiarized myself with all types of animals, diets, ages, and additional needs such as potty training or medications. I would love to accommodate any pet parent and their baby with amazing care! I’m currently unemployed and have open hours to spend time with your pups! I’m a college student so my schedule is flexible and my hours are any time you need! Pets are cared for according to their owners instructions, usually being fed twice during the morning and night. Typically walk dogs two to three times a day, medication administered if/when necessary, and free time is spent open roaming in the household (under supervision of course)!

“Jenna is great! She cares about your animals and will follow any instructions you leave and is sure to check in with you. Also she takes great pictures of your pet for you. Will be rebooking!”
About: Hi, my name is Haylie and dogs and cats are my passion! I work at Petco as a dog bather and I've been a pet sitter for around 8 years now outside of Rover. I do drop-in visits for pets and dog walking. I have a lot of experience caring for dogs and cats, senior pets, special needs pets, and exotic/farm animals. I have also been a dedicated volunteer at my local animal shelter for a few years now, and I have fostered and socialized multiple dogs and cats and I have helped find safe loving homes for them. I love taking care of animals and it makes me happy giving owners a peace of mind that their pet is safe and happy while they're away :) I work full time at Petco as a dog groomer in training but I have Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays off so those days work best for me but I can also work around my work schedule of 9am to 6pm and do drop in visits/dog walking before and after work. For drop-in visits and dog walking I make sure to follow instructions and I send photo updates consistently with details on how your pet is doing.

Mona is amazing with my Shih Tzu and Torty cat. She is always punctual, does a great job with giving them lots of love and attention. She responds and communicates very well and is a super caring very professional sitter. She goes above and beyond and even took care of my plants and made sure I came home to a happy home after a long trip .

First time having Nicole look after our two cats. This was the first time having anyone look after our newest addition Shadow. Shadow instantly warmed up to Nicole and Nicole took great care of both of our cats and kept us well updated after each of her visits. Will definitely use Nicole again in the future.

Tara was wonderful with Peaches. She spent extra time with her and Peaches was relaxed, well cared for and happy when I returned. Communication was good and the pictures were great. The house was in good condition and the areas around the cat dishes and litterbox had obviously been kept clean.

V is the most patient and understanding individual we have met to care for our precious Wrigley. Our 5 year old Covid pup is not trusting of strangers, V took her in stride and they are on their way to being inseparable! No matter the situation V is the most trusted person we could have asked for

Weiyue and her partner were absolutely amazing cat sitters! Tom was clearly well-loved and cared for while we were away on our trip. It was so reassuring knowing he was in such capable hands. They sent us the photos and updates about Tom every visit. We would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a reliable and loving cat sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
