“Thank you for being there for Charlie this week! He instantly liked you and that says a lot! The detailed recaps are so helpful. And I love how you got to know him so quickly and care so much!”

“Jen was very friendly and we felt confident leaving our cats for her to watch. She was always prompt and on time and gave us plenty of updates. We will for sure use her again, she is so sweet.”

“We were gone 10 days this trip, which is a long time for the pups! As always, Kelly was on the spot & willing to do whatever was needed to keep them comfy & safe. She's Wonderful with my 95 lb fur babies who can be very cantankerous at times!! Highly recommended!”

“Alex was fantastic with our two cats, Arya and Zelda! He really understood their different personalities. He was patient enough to get our shy Arya to feel comfortable and eat her wet food, and he made sure Zelda got plenty of the playtime she loves. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such caring hands!”

About: I've always been an animal lover at heart, and I truly believe pets are family. 💙 Whether it's my own fur babies or caring for friends' and family's pets, I pour that same love and attention into every moment. I'm great with routines and will make sure your pet stays on track—because consistency means comfort. Their trust means the world to me, and I’m so happy to be there for them. 🐾 I’m currently working in a position where I can make my own schedule. I will mostly be available all day on weekends and some weekday afternoons. I have a secure, fenced yard and a sweet dog who loves making new furry friends—perfect company if you're looking for a comfortable boarding spot. 🐶 If your pup follows a feeding or walking routine, I’ll stick to it like clockwork. Just let me know what works best for your pet, and I’ll make sure they feel right at home. 🏡
“Kaitlyn did a very good job with my dogs. She arrived on time and showed a lot of attention to BoJo who is an attention hog. She was also able to handle Mable who is very energetic with ease. I highly recommend Kailyn to take very good care of your pets and will be using her again in the future.”

“Jillian was great with our animals, they warmed up to her really quick! We are very protective and have anxiety about leaving our animals with anyone and she made us feel very comfortable about trusting her to take care of them. We even had an issue with our AC and she messaged us right away to let us know and thankfully we were able to fix the issue but without Jillian who knows what would have happened. Thank you again Jillian, we would definitely reach out to you again for any future trips!”

“Crystal did an amazing job. My cat was so happy and never felt alone. She was well-fed and taken care of beautifully. I even received a couple of photos, which I really appreciated. Crystal also kept me updated, letting me know when she was on her way and when she arrived. When took care my girl. Thank you so much Crystal. You did amazing. Can’t wait work with you again.”

“Amy drops in to visit Cooper mid day and does a great job! Cooper is so happy in her care. She takes lots of photos and videos and provides detailed updates. Easy to communicate with.”

“Galilea was a great sitter for our three cats while we were away on vacation! She sent us daily updates and did a great job caring for them. We'd certainly book with her again!”

About: I’m a caring and dependable pet sitter who understands that pets are family. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where your pets can feel happy and cared for while you’re away. I’m passionate about animals and take pride in giving each pet personalized attention, affection, and the care they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication reminders, or simply keeping them company, I treat every pet like my own. Growing up, I’ve had a couple of shihtzus and pugs! I’m currently working full time, but I come home everyday around noon to relieve & feed my dog. I work 5 minutes from home which is the best thing ever! Depending on your unique dog, I have various options. Dog crate, dog gates, pee pads, furry buddy that likes all dogs, and tons of treats!
“Katie and Robert are just amazing. They treated our pet and home like theirs and they even went above and beyond during Hurricane Beryl to make sure our Pepper is taken care of and stocked with her food while we were out of the country and the hurricane is about to hit. They even came right after the storm to make sure she was ok and even checked on the house. We can’t thank them enough for the love they showed to our little cat and care to our house for three weeks. We will definitely hire them again, and fully recommend them!! Much appreciate! Thank you Katie and Robert you were a blessing to us.”
About: I cared for my beloved cat, MiMi, for 21 wonderful years, from his playful kitten days to his senior years. He passed away 2 years ago, and I do miss him every day. When he was still with me, I made sure he had food and water, a clean box, plenty of playtime and cuddles, regular vet visits. I also have experience of caring for my friend's cat. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member to someone else, and I'm committed to giving your fur baby the same care and affection I gave my own. I am available on weekdays, and my schedule is flexible. Please text me and we can discuss what time suits you. Thank you very much. To care for the fur babies, I will follow the instructions from the pet owner. I will play with fur babies to ease their loneliness while their owners are not around.

About: I’ve taken care of pets of all kinds since I was a teenager. Dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles. I’ve worked in veterinary clinics, so I know how to care for seniors as well as special needs pets. I can also administer medications as needed. I work early mornings until 3pm, so I am available late afternoon and all evening to care for your babies. I’m available all day Friday and Saturday. I would prefer to care for your pet at your home. But I’m willing to make exceptions for small dogs to have them stay in my home. They would be crated while I am away.

It was my first time using Rover and actually first time leaving my dog in the hands of a stranger. Natalie was so awesome and took such good care of our doberman Murphy. - 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
