“My pups looked so happy during their stay. We struggle with our dog escaping and we did not have a single issue with her staying here. Dogs were fed all their meals with our feeding schedule. And we got them back in one piece. Will book again.”

“Lacey took good care of my little Chloe. She (Lacey) was flexible with scheduling and "Meet & Greet" times. I got lots of photos and updates about Chloe and her new dog friends. I am happy to have found somewhere safe for Chloe.”

“Andrea was wonderful! She watched my two dogs for 6 nights, and took such good care of them that they came home so happy and exhausted. My dogs can sometimes be a handful together, but she did a great job! She sent lots of photos of them, and was always very responsive and accommodating. I would definitely ask Andrea to watch my dogs again in the future!”

“Shang made boarding very easy. He communicated very well and was always quick to reply and sent me pictures. My dog had a great time at his house and playing with Shang’s dogs. Would definitely board Charles with him again.”

“Britteny is wonderful! She responded promptly, was able to pick up Bubble and asked questions to make sure she knew what all was needed for her. She sent a ton of pictures and bubble came back very happy!”

“I am very happy to have had Kim's help. An issue came up during the stay and I had to extend the time, and Kim helped me out. Toby was well cared for and she took him for a walk to burn off some energy. If I need help again, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to contact her.”

“Patricia was a great caregiver for our Dante. She was very kind and loving and very accesible to meet Dante’s needs. She texted at least 2 times a day with pictures and descriptions of their activities. Dante really enjoyed his time with her and we felt secure that he was in a safe place. Thank Patricia and we definitely would use her services again. Highly recommended!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hannah is AMAZING! Hannah welcomed my two dogs, Ace and Nala, into her home and treated them like family. From the moment we arrived, they felt comfortable and loved. She kept their routine, gave them so much attention and playtime, and sent me regular updates with adorable photos and videos. It was clear they were happy, safe, and completely at ease the whole time. When I picked them up, they were relaxed, healthy, and wagging their tails. Knowing they were so well cared for in a warm, loving home gave me total peace of mind. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter—Hannah is truly the best!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we are so thankful to have picked Daniel and Kristy. They took lots of pictures and gave daily updates. Always promptly responded to any questions we had. Will definitely be using them again!”

Your dog fits right into my schedule and no interruption and no hassle will be caused by your dog been boarded here. We love dogs. I have a fenced yard, toys, beds, treats, training equipment to keep your fur baby stimulated and company. I can easily crate your dog if needed.
“Lorraine is simply wonderful! Super responsive and responsible - I couldn’t have found a better god mother for my baby dog for our family trips away. Highly recommend!!”

About: Though I have one year of experience caring for my own puppy, I grew up surrounded by my grandparents’ pets and understand the love, patience, and consistency animals need. I treat every pet with the same care and attention I give my own—making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. Since I’m not working at the moment, I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. This allows me to be flexible with scheduling, give pets my full attention, and stick closely to their routines. Whether it’s regular walks, playtime, feeding, or just extra cuddles, I can make pet care a natural part of my day. At my home, pets have plenty of safe space to play in my fenced yard, and I always keep a close eye on them around the pool to make sure they stay safe. I also enjoy taking dogs on leash walks to the nearby dog park so they can get fresh air, exercise, and social time. Whether at my home or yours, I make sure pets feel comfortable, cared for, and part of the family.
About: I’m a huge animal lover that has been surrounded by dogs my whole life. Me and my wife share 2 pups! Kobe and Kona! My sweet girl Kona is 13 years old is the kind of dog that needs a bit more love and patience than most, so i’m great with paying close attention to a dogs behavior and getting to know what exactly makes them tick. With Kona being a senior dog with allergies and hip problems, I understand the slower care a senior dog needs. Kobe on the other hand is a silly boy that wants belly scratches from everyone. He is 1 years old and is still an energetic puppy! Getting to know your fur baby in a personal sense on its own time/terms gives me the confidence I need to believe that I will be a great dog walker and caregiver for your fur baby! I’m currently not working a full time job so I have a lot of time to care for your fur baby as needed! Mostly available for walks and sitting in the afternoon and evenings. I live in a larger 2 bedroom apartment with a big dog park and lots of walking and grassy areas surrounding me! I have 2 dogs, my senior dog sleeps the days away as she has hip problems and cannot run like she used to, and my puppy loves to play and share his toys and treats with all of his fur friends! Your dog will be given the most love and attention its heart desires! I live with my wife but she will not be caring for your fur baby.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sugar Land
Sandra was very attentive and read up extensively on the care sheet before the meet and greet. She had thoughtful questions that showed she truly read the material and understood the needs of my super senior dog. I was very anxious of leaving my elderly disabled pup in the care of strangers but she and her husband were very warm and sweet to him and he had a wonderful weekend with them.

Thank you Diana, best dog sitting experience we have had. Diana kept us updated on everything worth knowing, incl pictures. Our dog is not easy and she managed to succesfully introduce her to one of her own dogs, and they played and we saw out dog get more and more comfortable as the week progressed , Thank you.

What an amazing care taker Joanna and Brian are. We have had some bad experiences via rover but this one is a keepsake. We will be going back only to them in the future. Remo had a wonderful break at their place and they kept sending so many pics of him throughout our vacations. Our entire family enjoyed those pics and we were happy that remo was in a safe place. I would give them 100 stars of at that was an option. Thank you so much. Our baby had so much love to give and I truly hope you enjoyed him as much as he did.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Valerie and her family. From the very beginning, she kept me informed every step of the way, which I really appreciated. She regularly sent photos and videos of Coco. Communication was excellent, and it was clear she genuinely cared about Coco. Seeing the updates along the way gave me so much peace of mind. Thank you for taking such great care of Coco! 🐾🌈

Faith was great. Tony can be a handful as a Great Dane, but she just had a way with him. Luke is easy going. She communicated constantly and provided so many pictures. It was great knowing our dogs were being taken care of by someone who cares. Would definitely book with her again

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Wonderful Experience! Ms. Mary was amazing with my dogs! She’s caring, reliable, and treated them like her own. I loved getting daily updates and photos — it gave me total peace of mind while I was away. My pups came home happy and relaxed. I highly recommend Ms. Mary and will definitely book with her again! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
