About: Genuine love for pets. I naturally care for their well-being and love the affection I get from all animals. My family and I have 5 dogs of our own and recently we were adopted by our newly stray cat, Carey. We have been fostering dogs since Thanksgiving of 2017 and we have learned a lot how all pets deserve second chances and how each one of them heals at their own time. My dog walks are tailored to your pet needs, I will focus on the safety of your pet and myself during my service. You can trust that your pet will always be in loving and caring hands. Dog walking would be my primary activity next to my English classes. I will work with you to make sure that your pets needs are met in a timely manner. At home we have a fenced backyard and at my customers' homes I make sure that safety is a priority during my service. That means that I would make sure that your pet is properly secured and that is happy while we are together.
“This was my first time using Rover, and I’m very pleased with the service. I really appreciated that the sitter took the time to meet with me in advance and made my little one feel so special. The daily check-ins were such a thoughtful touch. I would definitely recommend and will be using Rover again in the future!”

“Kathryn was wonderful with our dog while we were on vacation! Communication was great—she sent daily updates and lots of videos, which we really appreciated. Our dog has some separation anxiety and she was incredibly patient and caring with him. It was clear he was being well looked after. We’d absolutely book with her again.”

“Our fur family Apawlo doesnot eat when he goes and stays with others. However, this time around with Kristin, it was completely different. Apawlo ate every meal, and in fact more than what he does at home. . Apawlo was very happy to have stayed with Kristin and family. We are fortunate to have come across such dog caring family.”

“Brandon did a great job watching our dog. He was very conscientious about playing with him and making sure he got enough love and attention and outside time and we got lots of pictures so we could see how he was doing. We highly recommend Brandon.”

“We left our 1 year old Maltipoo with this loving family for a 1 week trip. We were kept well informed with daily pictures and videos which were a delight to see. Sydney their Australian Shepard was so gentle with our pup. Very thankful for their help in taking care of our loved one.”

“Willow’s stay with Alexys was great! Alexys sent us plenty of pictures and videos to update us on our dog. Willow was exhausted from all her play time when we picked her up. The yard at her house was a huge plus as Willow had so much fun doing her zoomies with the other dogs.”

“My dog Daisy is shy and nervous around strangers and in new places. Sudha and Ravi made her feel comfortable and took great care of her. I got photos/videos of Daisy multiple times a day. I highly recommend Sudha and Ravi if you need to board your dog.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
