About: I've always taken care of pets for neighbors, friends and family. I've also volunteered at shelters and enjoyed my experience meeting so many animals and people. Im currently a college student and my class is from 8am to 10am. I am free and happy to help anytimes before or after this time! Its very important to me to make sure that you as well as your pet feel safe and comfortable so please feel free to be as detailed as you like when it comes to the care of your fur babies.
About: Animals seem to gravitate to me, I have never had an issue befriending a stray dog, cat, or even llama. I’m always that one guy in the room petting the dog. I have a natural knack for animal care as well and spend a lot of time just being friends with my pets. I am currently looking for a part time, flexible job that allows me to be with my family more. Therefore I am currently not working as I look and I am fully available. I have a couple of schedule items that I work around but overall I have a very open schedule that pet care will work wonderfully with. In my home we have more of a relaxed environment. Dogs are allowed to run around the home freely for most hours of the day. Cats are allowed to roam the catio outside freely. No cats are indoors and dogs are let outside twice daily to run and play and a third time just to use the restroom. Dogs and cats are fed twice daily and water is freely available. In a clients home I follow any guidelines they have.
About: I'm a very fun and courageous person who enjoys going for walks and exploring outdoors. I can make your dog love me, just give me 5 minutes and I’m your dogs new best friend. I am a wonderful listener, so just tell me what you need me to do and everything will be purrfect. Having 2+ years experience at a dog daycare center in the past, I am skilled to manage the highs and lows with all pets. My responsibility is to stay with your pup at your home through out my whole stay, I will be there to protect, love, and feed them while you are away. On top of that I will be your housekeeper, watching over your home and cleaning any messes your pup and I make. My schedule is pretty much free the whole time I’m with your pup, so when I’m with them they have my whole attention. I can also teach them a few tricks because I'm quite excellent at it and I do not take care of 2 different families at the same time. My focus is taking care of one family at a time throughout my stay. I'm usually free all day, so your dog and I can have relaxing or enjoyable days together. But if I ever need to run some errands, depending on what they are, your dog can accompany me in a car ride or stay in your home, where it’s safe. When I arrive at your place, I make every effort to earn your dog's trust and make them feel more at ease. Usually your dog should already recognize me from our meet and greet. But if we have met or not, the first thing I do is take your dog on a walk, just to ensure them that I’m their care taker while you are gone, that would 100% make them comfortable with me. When we return, that is when I start giving rubs, treats, and cuddles. (yes I allow your dogs to sleep on my bed, if you are okay with them on your furniture). I hope I am the perfect match for you and your pup, thanks for reading about me.
“There are people who simply provide a service, and then there are people who become an indispensable part of your life. Ariel is firmly in the latter category. She became a trusted partner during a particularly difficult chapter while I was recovering from major surgery. Knowing that Milo was in her care brought a level of reassurance that is hard to overstate. Aerial is dependability personified, always on time, often to the minute, with clear, prompt communication and remarkable flexibility whenever last-minute changes arose. Not once did those adjustments come with the slightest hint of frustration or attitude. She simply found a way to make things work. What truly sets her apart, however, is her relationship with dogs. She genuinely loves Milo, and it’s obvious he feels the same. She has the rare combination of warmth, confidence, and deep experience that allows her to take charge naturally. Her calm, capable presence inspires trust, and you immediately know your dog is in exceptionally good hands. My gratitude for Ariel goes far beyond dog walking. She provided peace of mind when I needed it most, and for that I will always be thankful. I recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for someone who will care for their dog with professionalism, reliability, and genuine affection. Absolute Gem!!”

About: What sets me apart is the experience and love I bring from caring for my own six pets—four dogs, two cats, and even an opossum! I’ve always had a heart for homeless and rescued animals and take every opportunity to help pets in need. I’m patient, attentive, and passionate about making every pet feel safe, loved, and cared for like family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I currently work two jobs, and I use my free time to provide pet-sitting services and earn a little extra income on the side. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so it feels great to make extra money doing something I love. Caring for pets is something that brings me joy, and I’m happy to spend my free time giving them the attention, love, and companionship they deserve. I make sure every pet is well-fed, has plenty of fresh water, and gets their walks and exercise. I always make time for playtime and lots of love and attention. With the heat, I also pay extra attention to keeping pets cool and hydrated, making sure they are comfortable and safe while in my care.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! Since I was a little, I’ve cared for family and friends’ pets — from silly cocker spaniels and lazy basset hounds, to big berneses and slobbery blood hounds — and I’ve always loved getting to know each pet’s unique personality. So much so, that seven years ago (in my senior year of college), I brought home my own boxer/pittie mix, Lucy. She’s been my best friend and constant companion, and I’m so blessed to have her. Pets become part of our families, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with them! Because I work remotely, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I am a big believer in being patient, attentive, and communicative. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, happy, and loved while giving you peace of mind with regular updates and photos! I work a fully remote job! My main tasks consist of random phone calls and emails (so wifi is definitely needed), but isn't consuming, so I have tons of down time, which means tons of one on one attention with your pup! In regard to housesitting, my goal is to be around most of the time, however I do have to step out from time to time for the occasional work meeting or errands. Since my job is so flexible, it allows me to maximize time spent with your dog, which means more playtime, more pets, and more attention! Given the nature of my full time remote work, I’m very detail-oriented, quick to communicate, and resourceful. I have my own back up leashes, back up poop bags, and respect house rules. I’m very adaptable, and dedicated to making sure to serve you and your fur baby in the best ways possible! I really aim to adapt and mirror your pet’s daily routine and what they are used to, so that it’s almost like you are still there with them.
About: I’ve taken care of my family members pets (including cats and dogs) and they had all said that they will repeat the experience of leaving dithering dogs at someone else’s home since they loved the way we treated the dog, the way he was able to adapt into a new home as well as the love we gave them. It perfectly fits due to the fact that I live with two dogs at home ( a golden retriever and a chihuahua) and they are used to go into a park and play with the ball, play with some other dogs and sometimes just chill around. I’m a dog lover in every sense, specially in the aspect of security since I have an eye on them at all time, I’m pending if they have water or food. In case the dog requires medication, I’ll have the different alarms he requires in order to take their medication
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and genuinely consider them family. I’m so dedicated to animals that I’ve chosen a pet-focused lifestyle over having children. As a husky mom and lifelong animal lover, I have hands-on experience with everything from energetic puppies to senior pets with special needs. I’m a certified pharmacy technician (CPhT), so I’m trained in medication safety and certified to administer vaccines, giving me an extra level of skill when caring for pets who need meds or special attention. I’m calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and treat every pet like they’re one of my own. I have very open availability and can easily fit pet care into my daily routine. As a husky mom, I’m accustomed to regular walks and consistent care, so whether it’s quick visits, daily check-ins, or overnight stays, I’m flexible and reliable. I’m attentive to your pet’s individual needs and always treat them with the same care and love I give my own. I prioritize safety and comfort above all else when caring for pets. In my home, I maintain a clean, secure, and calm environment where pets can feel relaxed and happy. I’m experienced with managing multiple pets, making sure each one gets individual attention while preventing stress or conflict. When caring for pets in their own home, I respect your space and routines, following all instructions closely to ensure consistency and comfort. I’m fully attentive, keep an eye on any health or behavior changes, and communicate promptly with you for peace of mind.
“Jeanette is AMAZING! She is such a great communicator! So sweet with my pup and just amazing over all! I couldn’t be happier with someone like her walking my pup! She is trust worthy, sweet, and kind.”

About: I treat every pet as if they were my own. As a lifelong pet owner, I understand the anxiety of leaving your furry family member behind, so I prioritize trust and transparency. My special experience includes: · The Puppy Phase: I've raised several puppies of my own and have endless patience for their high energy and training needs. I'm happy to maintain your schedule and work on any skills you're practicing. · Comfort with Seniors: I have a soft spot for senior pets. I'm experienced in providing comfort care, giving oral and topical medications, and adapting activities to their pace—whether that's a short, gentle stroll or just some quiet lap time. · I See the Details: I'm not just there to fill a bowl. I notice small changes in appetite or behavior, and I'll always keep you informed. Your pet's well-being is my highest priority. I work a hybrid remote schedule, which gives me a very flexible and pet-friendly schedule. · My daily routine accommodates pets: I'm home throughout the day for frequent potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. I can easily adhere to any specific feeding or walking schedule your pet requires. · It's a positive break for me too: Stepping away from my desk for a midday walk is a great way for both me and your dog to get fresh air and exercise. · My evenings are open to pets: After work, my focus is on longer walks, engaged play, and providing plenty of affection. Pet care isn't something I squeeze in; it's a central and enjoyable part of my daily life. Since I am the owner of three large, active dogs myself, I have experience managing high-energy breeds and ensuring their safety and fulfillment. In short, I care for pets with the same level of attention, expertise, and love that I give my own three dogs. You can leave knowing your pets are not just being checked on, but are truly being cared for by an experienced professional.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
