About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm surrounded by cats and dogs, and I’ve had two to four dogs in my home at a time since I was about five years old. Labs have always had an especially big place in my life, and I’ve had my Lab/Pit Bull mix since 2017. I now also share my home with a Goldendoodle! Growing up with multiple animals taught me how different every dog can be. I’m comfortable with dogs of different breeds, sizes, energy levels, personalities, and ages. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or would rather have some extra snuggles and companionship, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. Most importantly, I know how much our animals mean to us. I’ll care for yours with the same patience, attention, and love I expect for my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to make pet care a natural part of my day. I’m already accustomed to planning my days around animals, from feeding and caring for dogs to spending time at the barn with horses. I enjoy being active and outdoors, so walks, playtime, potty breaks, and extra one-on-one attention fit easily into my routine. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet—and your home—in someone else’s care. I take that responsibility seriously. I pay close attention to each pet’s normal routine, personality, body language, feeding schedule, medications or special instructions, and any boundaries you have in place. I believe consistency helps animals feel safe, so I’ll follow your normal routine as closely as possible. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic, playful dogs to animals who need a little more patience and time to warm up. My goal is for you to feel confident while you’re away knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, cared for, and getting plenty of attention.

“Sydney was absolutely wonderful! Before our appointment, she took the time to meet Mona, get familiar with our area, and understand all of her needs. On the day of the appointment, she was punctual, and kept me updated throughout, which I really appreciate it. Most importantly, Mona was so happy to spend time with her! I highly recommend Sydney and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Thank you Sydney!!!”

“Morgan was prompt, engaging and very nice. Our 2 labs seemed to like her and we felt very comfortable leaving them in her care. She provided a thorough update when we returned and you could tell the dogs enjoyed her company. And she took their rambunctious behavior in stride.”

“Ryan did a great job taking care of my cat and dog. We have never used a pet sitter before and were very pleased with the care that my animals got. We’ll definitely use the service again!”

“Sandy did an amazing job. She took such good care of our 2 golden retrievers. She loved them while we were gone and kept us up to date on how they were doing with frequent text messages and pics. I just can't say enough about how good and reliable she is. We will use her anytime to decide to go away.”

“Harriet was great and took photos of my sweet pup while watching her. She practiced “touch” training which I’ve been working on and made sure she got lots of cuddles & potty breaks. 🐶”

“Monic is SO amazing and so down to earth! 💜🐶💜🐱She house sat for me and prior to that spoke with me and got to know my pets to figure out a schedule that provided the love and care closest to my furbabies normal every day routine! I was so happy every step of the way and felt very reassured that I was leaving my animals and home in the best hands. It warmed my heart so much to hear how much she enjoyed the company of my furbabies. I would 1000% recommend her if you ever need someone to watch your pets!”

“Kyla is truly the best! She has been watching my dog since she was 3 and I never have to worry about how she’s doing when I’m gone. Kyla really goes out of her way to make her feel comfortable and happy while i am gone. 10/10 high recommend!”

“jasmine was exactly who i needed for my sweethearts. she listened and took the time to understand each and they both enjoyed her attention and time very much. i'm super happy knowing they were safe, happy, and enjoyed their time with someone i could trust. for my next trips, definitely rebooking! she followed the schedule, asked questions; and quickly picked up their personalities.”

“Allison was amazing with our girls Milli and Maxi. She was responsive with all her replies, our special requests and we felt at ease with Allison taling care of our girls at home. The babies always had big smiles and were always very relaxed. Thanks for all the updates and a great job all around. The girls look forward to her next visit.”

About: Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to have pets—including Bull Terriers, Schnauzers, French Poodles, and cats—caring for them from the time they were babies until they passed away in their old age. This experience has allowed me to enjoy their company and learn to recognize the unique needs of each pet; I am highly responsible regarding their diet, medication, activities, and necessary outings. I am available part-time: Tuesdays through Fridays from 5:00 PM onwards, and Saturdays through Mondays around the clock, including overnight stays and in- my home care I have space—including a yard—as well as the time and ability to provide care in my own home, but I am also available to provide care, walks, and activities at the pet's home! I have my own transportation.
“Natalie is AMAZING!! She did a meet and greet with us and it was clear from the start how much she loved animals. Aside from instructions, she got on the floor and engaged with our cats. While on our trip, she sent us pictures, videos and updates for all three cats. Eventually, even our shy cat came out and began hanging out in the common area; she made sure to check on him everytime she came over. She was amazing with communicating when she was on her way and heading out, too. While we were gone, she even cleaned up litter from the floor and tidied uo our place. She is phenomenal, we really appreciate Natalie so much!”

I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and know they’re in good hands. Im currently working on an online business where all I need is wifi and my laptop. Im also a college student looking to make some extra cash to pay off tuition. Both of these things I can do online anytime which leaves me for plenty downtime and study breaks I can spend with my furry friends! I care for every pet based on their individual needs and routine. I make sure they’re fed on time, get plenty of attention and exercise, and have a safe and comfortable environment. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 2,250 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Simonton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Simonton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Simonton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Simonton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Simonton. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
