“Thank you for helping us! Katelyn was professional and on time for the scheduled appointments. We were kept informed and photos were supplied during her visits. Much appreciated!”

“We have used Gem a few times for drop ins with our feisty pups and she has been fantastic! We will absolutely continue to book her and would definitely recommend her! Thanks Gem!!”

“Kylie did a wonderful job dropping in on our cats during our week long trip! We met beforehand and she made sure we were comfortable. She really paid careful attention to detail—disposed all litter and food cans so I didn’t come home to a stinky mess. Swept up scattered litter, and even took care of the trash bins. Over the years we’ve had friends and family members, and sometimes paid neighbor kids to watch our cats while we’re gone. This is by far the best experience for all! Thank you so so much!! We will definitely be booking other visits with you in the future.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life! We had a family dog when I was growing up and I would house/ pet sit for my neighbors when they would go out of town. I currently have three fur babies. A 2 year old Cane Corso/ Stafford Terrier named Moose, a 2 year old pit bull mix named Oakley and a cat named Romeo! Having three animals under one roof has been quite the experience but I’ve loved every moment of the chaos. Since I currently work from home full time I’m available Monday- Sunday most weeks and my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye on your baby and adhere to whatever potty break or play schedule you have set.
About: I will keep families updated, send pictures of their fur babies, and provide great care! I have experience with pets of all backgrounds- including those who face health challenges, and can assure every family that their loved ones are in good hands. I work a very part-time job, but am very open even during the days I do work. A shift usually looks like 12-6pm, or 5-9pm. So, I visit before or after work. If house-sitting then I will go to work from the house, and back to the house! My 2 dogs at home are diabetic/epileptic, so I am familiar with keeping pets in a routine. My dogs are on a strict medication schedule, and I am familiar with giving medicines and foods twice a day. They are let outside whenever they want, get cuddles all the time, exercise and play together a lot. I don’t board animals at my house, due to my dogs and their health.
“Karina was absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend her enough. Princess is an extremely shy dog who rarely trusts new people, and it is not easy at all to win her over. In the past, many sitters have struggled with her, and some have even given up, so finding someone like Karina has been a huge relief for me. Karina was incredibly patient, calm, and clearly very experienced with dogs. She truly went above and beyond to earn Princess’s trust at Princess’s own pace. It takes someone with real skill, understanding, and confidence around dogs to handle Princess the right way, and Karina did exactly that. Knowing Princess was in such capable and caring hands gave me so much peace of mind. I am so grateful that I found Karina, and she will absolutely be the first person I reach out to whenever I need help going forward. I look forward to working with her regularly because it is truly hard to find someone this dependable, skilled, and caring. If you have a shy, nervous, or challenging dog, I would recommend Karina without hesitation. She is outstanding.”

“Yilim is very attentive and proactive. She will ask the right questions and will not make assumptions. I’m very happy that I booked here because she went above and beyond to keep the environment clean as well.”

About: Hi! I’m a longtime cat owner with 13+ years of hands-on experience raising and caring for cats since they were 2 months old. My cats are now healthy, energetic senior cats, and over the years I’ve gained extensive experience understanding feline behavior, routines, and health needs. I’m experienced with all regular cat care tasks, including feeding, litter box cleaning, medication administration, grooming, and maintaining clean, stress-free routines. I’m also comfortable handling situations such as digestive issues, urinary problems, stress-related conditions like Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, ear/eye infections, and senior cat care. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and treat every cat as if they were my own. I’m free after 4pm in weekdays and almost full day available in the weekend. In the weekdays, I mainly available in the west Houston area and in the weekend, I can drive to any place in Houston. Please contact me for detailed availability and we can work things out. I’m a big fan of believing that if possible, indoor cats should not move around to reduce all kinds of incidents or surprises. So I only do drop-in visits to take care of your babies.
“We are so pleased with Hannah’s support. She’s extremely reliable, very communicative and flexible. She’s also very caring and gave lots of love to the kitties. In a word, she’s just fantastic!”

“Maria was fantastic. She took care of my 2 cats, feeding (wet and dry food), cleaning (3 litters) and making sure they had enough water. She sent me pictures every day she was there. Maria was punctual, organized and thorough. She made sure everything was done as requested. I felt my cats were in good hands and well taken care of, while I was on vacation, my mind was at ease. I would definitely book her again for my next trip and recommend you highly use her services if needed.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brookshire. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
