“Our 2-yr-old mixed doodle boarded with Anamika for 13 nights. He is often anxious with new humans, but he was far less so with Anamika and her family. They were careful to ensure a calm meet and greet and gave our dog time to explore before introducing their husky. Their back yard is quite large, with plenty of things to sniff and be curious about, and our dog played well with their husky throughout his stay. Anamika was agreeable to our dental hygiene, brushing, and food requests, and he looked relaxed in the daily pictures she sent. She has a 2-dog limit on how many she boards, which was a good sign as to the quality of care and environment she could provide for our dog, who is overwhelmed at doggie daycares. Every dog and family is different, but I feel like we finally found a good fit. This is our 4th experience with boarding in a home, and it is the best one we have had.”

“Kara was great! I was so relieved to leave Alex in someone's home rather than at a kennel. She shared updates of him during his stay and I could tell he was loving it. He got to play with her 2 dogs as well and enjoy the large fenced in back yard. I felt comfortable with her experience and knowledge of dogs and knew he was in capable hands. I will definitely be a repeat customer! ?”
“Ms Dee was awesome with my baby's first time being away from home for an extended period of time. She also got along well with her doggie, Ms Bailey. So much room for the pups to run around which was a plus especially since Mia's kind of big girl☺️.”

“Great! I felt very comfortable leaving my dog Bea with Nonchanan for just over a week. All instructions were followed and Bea seems to have had a great time - healthy and well cared for. We struggled to receive photo updates initially but managed to receive some. Regular texted updates were provided. Very happy and would book again.”

“Alejandra and her crew were awesome. Highly recommend! She is dog people and was able to handle my guy when he got there overwhelmed. My doggos were very happy campers! Thanks.”

“Liying and her husband took excellent care of our Golden, Mazie. She was very attentive to Mazie. She has two other small dogs and a large fenced back yard they played in. She does not use crates , keeps your dog’s schedule, and the dogs all had a bed, toys everything to make happy. I also appreciate how accommodating she was to me and my changing schedule. They agreed to keep Mazie later when i saw my schedule was going to change that day, i appreciated that very much. She sent picture and video often. No need to worry if you book with Liying.”

“It was our first time boarding our dog and we were so nervous. She was amazing! Saved us last minute. Very knowledgeable about rescued dogs. Sent updates with pictures & videos. Thank you.”

“I stumbled onto Rover by accident and was excited to see A sitter so close to home. After reading all the great reviews on Chassidy I booked a week stay for my dog. I'm always a little nervous going somewhere for the first since I never know how my Boston terrier is going to get along with other dogs. He did ok. I think this is largely due to the care he received with Chassidy. She took great care of him and sent daily pics showing him playing with the other dogs. I highly recommend Chassidy to care for your pet like its her own. ”

“Lucy was AMAZING, I initially chose Lucy because she was a bulldog owner and there are certain things that are importantnwhen caring for a bulldog. Lucy's caring for Camo went above and beyond the care of my bulldog, it showed me her overwhelming love for dogs in general. We had to find someone pretty quick due to my reluctance to actually put him up while we went on a 4 day trip...after a couple of days searching I came across Lucys profile. I reached out very late that night and received a reply very early the next and had a meet and greet that evening. Very quick process and knew after the meet and greet I had found the sitter I was looking for. I was not feeling great about how my boy reacted during the meet and greet that Lucy would be ok with him. But, she was amazing about it and just knew what to expect with a bulldog. Cant thank her enough and no longer have a concern about what to do with our Camo if we need to have someone watch him. Thank you Lucy for the daily updates and pictures and overall caring for our boy! We will definitely be in touch again!”

“Ana watched my 6 months old super energetic puppy for 6 days over the Thanksgiving weekend. My puppy had an amazing stay at her place. I can say so confidently as Ana used to send daily updates with many pictures of him playing, eating and sleeping. She also treated him with Thanksgiving dinner turkey. On his way back, she gave him a bath as well. She responded to all my messages pretty quickly. My puppy had a vacation too having a blast playing with all the other cute pups, and getting pampered by Ana and her husband. Each day she made sure, he was tired and slept tight. I am definitely going to have her take care of my puppy the next time as well. We trust her completely. You’re awesome Ana!”

“Claro, aquí tienes una versión más cálida y afectuosa: Amy and Peter are truly wonderful and have been an absolute blessing for Rufus and our family. Every time we leave Rufus in their care, we do so with complete peace of mind, knowing he will be loved and cared for as if he were their own. Rufus always comes home happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. One of the things we appreciate most is that they send us photos every day, which makes it so reassuring to see how comfortable, loved, and content he is while we’re away. It’s not easy to leave your furry family member with someone else, but Amy and Peter make it effortless. We trust them completely and couldn’t ask for better caregivers for Rufus. We wholeheartedly recommend them — they are simply the best!”

“Beatriz was Amazzzzziiiiiinnnnnngggggggggggg!!!!! I am new to this state and have never left my pups with anyone I don’t know, so this was a hard process for me mentally and emotionally considering 1 of my pups has dealt with some pretty bad trauma. Beatriz made this the best process which became the least of my worries, she sent consistent picture/video updates which I was very happy with and pleased to see my babies were happy and enjoying themselves. She is also a quick responder so my nerves never had to wander! I can’t thank her enough for all that she does and we will definitely be a return client of hers 🤎”

“This is the first time I dropped my dog off with Piyaon. She allowed me to meet with her ahead of time and immediately I felt like Charli would be in great hands. She was very loving and attentive to my dog. Upon request, she took her on several walks and made time for lots of playing. She even let her sleep where she would like, so Charli would feel the most comfortable. She was excellent with communication while we were away and sent lots of photos. When needed again in the future, we will definitely be using Piyaon again.”

“Kristina and her family were caring and attentive in taking care of my Ozzy while I was away. They would send picture updates daily and answer messages quickly. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for pet sitter with peace of mind!”

“Another great time spent by Bullitt with this awesome family. I can tell our beloved Bullitt loved staying over their house. You will love the daily picture updates. Highly recommended!”

“Archie was very well taken care of and we were very happy knowing that! Our trip was much nicer knowing Archie was in great hands. We got photos every day and saw how Archie was cuddled and played with his host dog Milo. Thank you Besima for a great care.”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
