“Piyaon is a 5-star dog sitter. She cares for our puppy attentively with individual attention. As Sol, our puppy, had lost his appetite in recent weeks, she communicated with us frequently and adjusted Sol's feeding with a custom plan. As last time, her family also lent their hands to care for and play with Sol throughout the boarding. We’ll definitely come back to Piyaon for future boarding needs.”

“Our dog Penny had an amazing time with Reagan! She went on many walks, played in the backyard numerous times and was taken care of like family. We had daily updates and pictures and will definitely use Reagan again. We highly recommend Reagan!”

“The BEST sitter I had for Nova. We all loved her. Very caring, loving. She made Nova feel at home. Her own pets are so sweet they are Nova's new friends now. Overall had a great experience. Nova had a great vacation 🥰 with lots of hugs, cuddling, kisses, walking, massages, brushing, treats, playful friends. She sent us lots of pictures and videos and I was at ease. I would strongly recommend her with your little fur love!!”

“We are grateful for Yovana and her family’s loving care of my dog, Maple. This was our first time using a pet sitter. We were initially apprehensive, especially since we were not sure how quickly Maple would adapt to a new environment and get along with other dogs. However, our concerns were quickly alleviated. Yovana and her daughter welcomed Maple and made her feel at home right away during our “meet and greet”. Within an hour after we dropped off Maple on the first day, Yovana reported the Maple got along with other dogs well. During our trip, Yovana sent daily updates, photos and videos. Watching Maple having so much fun playing with the kids and other dogs were the highlight of our days away from home. Yovana is skilled at handling furry friends. She and her family genuinely care about the dogs they look after. I will definitely book again and highly recommend.”

“Kylie took wonderful care of Daisy! I loved receiving daily photos and updates, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She made sure Daisy got plenty of walks and attention. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter!”

“Andrea is amazing! I cannot say enough good things about her! She is so kind and considerate. We had to travel last minute for a funeral and she was so gracious with everything. She sent me videos and photos and told me how thy were doing and what they did that day. I was afraid my dogs wouldn’t want to come home they were having such a great time!”

“Amazing! Very informative and knowledgeable. She kept me updated regarding Kozi feeds, walks, engagement, potty breaks. Very appreciative of her and will for sure continue to book with her.”

“Daniela is a fantastic and highly dedicated pet sitter! Her communication was excellent, and she always replied to my messages incredibly fast. Daniela sent constant photo updates throughout the day, from the moment Mía woke up until the last picture before bedtime. Thanks to that updates, I could tell by Mía’s eyes, ears, tail, and sleeping positions just how comfortable, happy, and relaxed she was. Additionally, Daniela perfectly followed the instructions to administer the medication prescribed by Mía’s vet. Daniela gave me immense peace of mind. As an added bonus, she speaks Spanish, which was an advantage for me. I highly recommend Daniela 100%, and I will definitely book with her again!”

“I had the pleasure of using the Rover app for the first time, and I was so fortunate to find Cora. From the very beginning, she gave me complete peace of mind with her experience, availability, and genuine love for caring for dogs. While I was away, I felt confident knowing my dogs were in a safe, calm, and loving environment. It was clear they were well cared for and received plenty of affection. I truly appreciate everything Cora did for them, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommended!”

“This is the second time I left Kiley with Britteny. She spent a weekend with her last March. I will let Kiley review her feelings about Britteny through her own actions. On our second visit she rode in her harness in the car calmly as ever, until we got within 3 blocks of Britteny's house. Then she sat up and started fussing and whining. One block later, she was straining at her harness and and whimpering with excitement. By the time we turned onto her street she was beside herself with anticipation. She was so eager to get to the house, I had trouble getting her unbuckled, she was pulling so hard. Then she ran into Brittney's son's arms. I am amazed that she even remembered the drive after half a year. Obviously it was a place she wanted to return to, with happy memories. Honestly, she was like a kid going to camp or grandma's house. Based on photos Brittney sent, she was having just as good a time as the last time. Kiley is a very outgoing and active dog and Brittney provided an ideal environment for her.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
