Just can’t say enough good things about Jamie. She’s been a godsend with our elderly dog Annie. Gentle, compassionate caregiver AND gives lots of exercise and attention to our more active dog Bella. They both love having Jamie come feed and play with them. We know they’re so much happier at home than at a kennel.

Karina was absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend her enough. Princess is an extremely shy dog who rarely trusts new people, and it is not easy at all to win her over. In the past, many sitters have struggled with her, and some have even given up, so finding someone like Karina has been a huge relief for me. Karina was incredibly patient, calm, and clearly very experienced with dogs. She truly went above and beyond to earn Princess’s trust at Princess’s own pace. It takes someone with real skill, understanding, and confidence around dogs to handle Princess the right way, and Karina did exactly that. Knowing Princess was in such capable and caring hands gave me so much peace of mind. I am so grateful that I found Karina, and she will absolutely be the first person I reach out to whenever I need help going forward. I look forward to working with her regularly because it is truly hard to find someone this dependable, skilled, and caring. If you have a shy, nervous, or challenging dog, I would recommend Karina without hesitation. She is outstanding.

Katie was fantastic! She was so kind and attentive to our cats, was very conscientious about cleaning the litter box and giving them fresh water. From all the photos she sent us, it was clear the cats enjoyed her company. We will definitely ask for Katie again and will recommend her to our friends and family.

About: I treat every pet as if they were my own. As a lifelong pet owner, I understand the anxiety of leaving your furry family member behind, so I prioritize trust and transparency. My special experience includes: · The Puppy Phase: I've raised several puppies of my own and have endless patience for their high energy and training needs. I'm happy to maintain your schedule and work on any skills you're practicing. · Comfort with Seniors: I have a soft spot for senior pets. I'm experienced in providing comfort care, giving oral and topical medications, and adapting activities to their pace—whether that's a short, gentle stroll or just some quiet lap time. · I See the Details: I'm not just there to fill a bowl. I notice small changes in appetite or behavior, and I'll always keep you informed. Your pet's well-being is my highest priority. I work a hybrid remote schedule, which gives me a very flexible and pet-friendly schedule. · My daily routine accommodates pets: I'm home throughout the day for frequent potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. I can easily adhere to any specific feeding or walking schedule your pet requires. · It's a positive break for me too: Stepping away from my desk for a midday walk is a great way for both me and your dog to get fresh air and exercise. · My evenings are open to pets: After work, my focus is on longer walks, engaged play, and providing plenty of affection. Pet care isn't something I squeeze in; it's a central and enjoyable part of my daily life. Since I am the owner of three large, active dogs myself, I have experience managing high-energy breeds and ensuring their safety and fulfillment. In short, I care for pets with the same level of attention, expertise, and love that I give my own three dogs. You can leave knowing your pets are not just being checked on, but are truly being cared for by an experienced professional.

About: I’ve had pets in my life since I was born but I started counting my years of experience from when I moved out, got married, and had 2 dogs of my own that recently passed. We got them both when they were puppies and cared for them all the way into their seniorhood so I have experience taking care of puppies as well as elderly dogs. I work from home so I will be here to care for your pet the majority of the time (I’m happy clarity more in person). I hope to work with you and love on your pet soon! If at my house, I can watch your dogs here while I work from home. We have plenty of yard space if your pet likes being outside and if they don’t, I’m available to let them out anytime throughout the day. If at your house, it will just depend on the day/time and if I’m able to work from there. If I can I can just bring my laptop but if I can’t, it will need to be in the evening when I am clicked out. At my house, our dogs were mainly inside dogs so they were with me the majority of the day and anytime they needed to go out we let them. I will follow whatever feeding schedule needed; my dog’s food ranged from solid to soft food (our older dog had some teeth extracted and didn’t have many left) or a mix of both so I’m comfortable giving either. Water is usually always out for them to get when they needed it. Our smaller dog was allowed on the couch and bed and our bigger dog was only allowed on the couches here and there but was allowed on the bed. We did not crate them but I am familiar with crating. For other places, I will follow whatever routines/rules requested.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life! We had a family dog when I was growing up and I would house/ pet sit for my neighbors when they would go out of town. I currently have three fur babies. A 2 year old Cane Corso/ Stafford Terrier named Moose, a 2 year old pit bull mix named Oakley and a cat named Romeo! Having three animals under one roof has been quite the experience but I’ve loved every moment of the chaos. Since I currently work from home full time I’m available Monday- Sunday most weeks and my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye on your baby and adhere to whatever potty break or play schedule you have set.

About: Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to have pets—including Bull Terriers, Schnauzers, French Poodles, and cats—caring for them from the time they were babies until they passed away in their old age. This experience has allowed me to enjoy their company and learn to recognize the unique needs of each pet; I am highly responsible regarding their diet, medication, activities, and necessary outings. I am available part-time: Tuesdays through Fridays from 5:00 PM onwards, and Saturdays through Mondays around the clock, including overnight stays and in- my home care I have space—including a yard—as well as the time and ability to provide care in my own home, but I am also available to provide care, walks, and activities at the pet's home! About: Hi, this is Monika! I'm a DevOps Engineer by profession and a pet lover by passion. I work from home full-time, which means your furry friend won't be left alone-ever. During any Rover booking, I don't plan outings or time away. Your pet will have my full attention, care, and companionship all day long. I’m a proud pet parent. My two Shih Tzus are my whole world, and I know exactly how much your furry family means to you. That’s why when you trust me with your pup, I treat them like one of my own—with love, patience, and genuine care. I work 100% remotely, which means your dog will get my full attention throughout the day. No rushing out the door. No leaving them alone for hours. Just all-day playtime, cuddles, potty breaks, and cozy companionship. I have a big, secure backyard where they can safely stretch their legs, sniff around, or enjoy a little sun—and if your pup loves walks, I’m happy to take them out for some fresh air and tail-wagging adventure. One thing I want you to know upfront—dogs are never crated here unless they’re already trained and prefer it that way. And they’ll never be left outside other than potty breaks. In fact, they’ll sleep right next to me, just like my own pups do—safe, warm, and snuggled up. I know how hard it is to leave your pet behind, even for a short while. That’s why I send regular photo and message updates, so you always know how they’re doing. You’ll see the joy on their faces, the comfort in their eyes, and feel at ease knowing they’re in a space filled with love and care. Many pet parents who’ve left their pups with me say it feels like a doggy resort—calm, clean, and full of affection. I keep my home spotless, not just because it matters to me, but because your pet deserves a safe, cozy, and hygienic environment. Here’s the thing—this isn’t just a side gig for me. It’s my passion. Every dog I welcome into my home becomes part of my heart. The time, energy, and love I give far exceed what you’ll ever see on a price tag. Because to me, this isn’t about money. It’s about making sure your dog feels safe, happy, and at home—even when they’re away from you. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d be honored to care for your pup like family. Pet care is naturally woven into my daily routine because I work remotely full-time as a DevOps Engineer. I’m home all day, which gives me the flexibility to be fully present for the pets I care for—whether that’s letting them out for potty breaks, giving belly rubs between meetings, or taking them for a walk when they need a break (just like I do!). My mornings usually start with feeding and playtime, followed by some outside time in my secure backyard. Throughout the day, I take regular breaks to check in with the pets—some cuddle time, a little fetch, or just hanging out together. Evenings are relaxed and cozy, with dinner, walks (if needed), and winding down together. At night, the pets sleep with me, so they’re never alone and always feel safe and loved. Whether it’s weekdays or weekends, my schedule is built to keep your pet happy, engaged, and cared for around the clock. I don’t take on anything else when I have a booking—your pet becomes my full priority At my home, pets have full access to a clean, cozy, and safe space. I keep a consistent routine of feeding, walks, play, and downtime, and I'm always home, so they get my full attention.when I'm caring for your pet, I pour my heart into making sure they feel happy, secure, and loved every step of the way.

Maria was punctual, organized and thorough. She made sure everything was done as requested. I felt my cats were in good hands and well taken care of, while I was on vacation, my mind was at ease. I would definitely book her again for my next trip and recommend you highly use her services if needed.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Brookshire stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brookshire. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
