“Kara did a great job caring for our 3 cats twice a day. She spent time playing with them and would send pictures and videos each day. She was prompt, easy to work with, communicative and cared about the cats. I highly recommend Kara.”

“Sofi is the best you can get! She took excellent care of our pets and gave us a worry-free experience. Her care, communication, and professionalism were beyond what we expected. I would recommend her to everyone!”

“Amy was a fantastic pet sitter during our recent trip! She took excellent care of our pets, making sure everyone got their preferred food, and even brought our packages inside. Highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Angela highlights the ANGEL she is, truly such a major help with my doggo while I was out of the state in a nasty weather emergency. I was iffy about booking a dog sitter at first since my dog is a bit timid and not socialized very well, but trusting her with my fur baby was really easy breezy. An exceptional care taker!! 10/10 will book again next time I need a dog sitter.”

Our community is new and pet friendly neighborhood. I have enough space in my backyard to play and have fun with your dog. I live in a two story house with a lot of space to take care of your doggie. I have 2 teenagers, boy and girl. My son LOVES dogs and dogs LOVE him! He is a dog magnet. He is thinking of becoming a vet or having his own pet business :-). About: Hi! I'm a dedicated pet lover with 9 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and senior pets. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to provide thoughtful, individualized care for each pet I meet. My goal is to help your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I have experience with pets of all ages, including senior dogs who may require extra patience, attention, and specialized care. I offer a flexible schedule and am committed to maintaining your pet's routine as closely as possible. From playtime and exercise to medication administration and quiet companionship, I provide mindful, dependable care tailored to your pet's needs. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing the loving care they deserve! I am a recent college graduate that is figuring out next steps, so I have a flexible schedule currently to meet your needs. Overnight care or frequent stops during the day are no problem. While petsitting or pet-walking, I follow the lead of the pet owner. Pets are children and deserve to be treated how their owners desire. Also, I want to limit change to their environment as much as possible to create a stress-free and safe environment.
“Yilin watched our 3 cats for almost 2 weeks. She did a fantastic job. She arrived on time, took mat pictures and videos of our cats, and brought in packages left for us. She played with the cats and kept their litter and food area very clean. She is very friendly and cared for our babies as if they were her own. I would definitely hire Yilin again the next time we have to travel!”

“Alejandro and Keyla did an amazing job watching our 2 pups over Labor Day weekend. We had last minute plans and they fit us in for drop in visits. They played with the pups and made sure they got lots of attention on their visits. Would not hesitate to book again. Very thankful to have great people watch over our babies while we are out of town.”

About: I have worked in a boarding facility for about four years and have experienced animals of all sizes and personalities. I also have pets of my own that have taught me so much! I have time during most of the day to tend to whatever your animals needs may be. I hope to find a schedule that will make everyone happy! I make sure that the dogs are safely attached to their leash and collar before the walk and that they will be walking safely outside. Any other specification that are required further is greatly appreciated!
“Belen has been very sweet with my dog, Bella. She took the time to meet her and play with her to make her feel more comfortable. My dog was having tummy issues and Belen gave me tons of recommendations based on her professional experience. She’s very knowledgeable and sweet. I will definitely call her again and recommend her. Thanks, Belen! ♥️🐶”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for many years, including both my own pets and those of others who trusted me with their companions. Along with dogs and cats, I also have experience caring for smaller pets like birds, rabbits, and fish. I understand how important pets are to a family, and I make it my priority to give them the same love and attention they’re used to at home. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule to provide attentive care for pets. I’m rarely away from home for more than four hours at a time, ensuring your pet receives consistent companionship and supervision. I have a fenced backyard where pets can safely play and explore. I also have three friendly, socialized dogs of my own that can keep your pet company. If your pet prefers a quieter space or you’re crate-training, I’m happy to accommodate crate setups to ensure they feel comfortable and secure.
“Benny and Isabella came to visit my babies while we were on a day trip. Communication prior to the appointment was great, and they kept me updated and sent pics on the day. I will be using them again!”

About: I’ve rescued animals on my own for over 10 years. We had 9 dogs at one time. My most recent rescue was a mother cat and kitten and found out she was pregnant. I have 11 cats now. I think I love animals more than people. Lol. Im a stay at home pet mom. My husband works from home, so my fur babies are cared for if Im taking care of other fur babies. I will make sure to keep your fur babies happy and take care of them like they are my own. I will follow care instructions and communicate well with you

About: I’ve had dogs and animals all my life. Animals bring me joy. I rescued a black chihuahua from ASPCA in 2016 and enjoyed her company for 7 years until we had to put her down. She was a senior dog and I’ve taken care of other dogs that I have dog sat in my spare time-like family dogs. I do well with small breeds and love large breeds as well. I’ve taken care of Chihuahuas, Terriers, as well as Cats. I enjoy going to the animal refugees on my spare time because I feel like I have a special connection when it comes to different animals including dogs and cats. I am currently a stay at home housewife so I have plenty of time to play with your dog/cat. In the afternoon I can take them to go get a pup cup or feed them any special snacks they may have. I also like to get my steps in the day or go check my mailbox in the neighborhood so I could walk them if it’s not too hot. I like to play music as well and dance with them. Spending time with your fur baby is important to me because they only have a short amount of time on earth, so I feel like they should be loved by us. I also speak Spanish so I wouldn’t mind teaching them some words in Spanish unless they speak it too!😂 I have a fenced yard-it’s large and there is also plenty of shade in my back patio so if they want to sit under and drink cool water or snacks I am all up for it. I live in a new community and do keep my house clean. Cleanliness is important to me so you don’t have to worry about your dog being dirty or smelling funky. If your dog loves toys I have some from my late dog. She had a lot of toys but since she was elderly, she didn’t like to play with them very much.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 5 years old. I helped train my German Shepard. I’ve dog sat and walked dogs for neighbors for many years. I love animals all around! I have pretty open availability! I can be at your house whenever you need me to be. I can mostly work my schedule around you. I make sure that every animal gets the love they all deserve. I feed my pets every day and maintain their waters. I also take them on walks every day and am experienced with walking them. I don’t discipline my dogs, only reward them.
“This was the first time using a pet sitter. I am so happy I chose Yovana. She was very diligent with letting me know how my dogs were doing while I was gone, sending me photos of them and what they were eating or not eating. I would give her an A+ and if you're looking for a pet sitter, choose Yovana. I didn't worry about my dogs at all.”
“Jillian was great with our animals, they warmed up to her really quick! We are very protective and have anxiety about leaving our animals with anyone and she made us feel very comfortable about trusting her to take care of them. We even had an issue with our AC and she messaged us right away to let us know and thankfully we were able to fix the issue but without Jillian who knows what would have happened. Thank you again Jillian, we would definitely reach out to you again for any future trips!”

Angela is a wonderful pet sitter! She made sure our cats were engaged and also that they were eating and drinking. She provided pictures and videos every day along with a few notes on how the visit went. We will definitely seek her out again when we plan our next getaway.

Jaci was amazing! So sweet to talk with and very attentive with any requests. It was my first time leaving my boy at home for an extended time and I felt confident leaving him in her hands. All of the photos and videos sent back were so cute and was a highlight every day to see<3

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Foster. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
