“Katie was fantastic! She was so kind and attentive to our cats, was very conscientious about cleaning the litter box and giving them fresh water. From all the photos she sent us, it was clear the cats enjoyed her company. We will definitely ask for Katie again and will recommend her to our friends and family.”

“Allison dropped in on Kobe for multiple days while I was commuting in and out of town for a work event. She responded quickly and was flexible. She followed directions and gave great updates and photos during the check-ins. We would definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life! We had a family dog when I was growing up and I would house/ pet sit for my neighbors when they would go out of town. I currently have three fur babies. A 2 year old Cane Corso/ Stafford Terrier named Moose, a 2 year old pit bull mix named Oakley and a cat named Romeo! Having three animals under one roof has been quite the experience but I’ve loved every moment of the chaos. Since I currently work from home full time I’m available Monday- Sunday most weeks and my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye on your baby and adhere to whatever potty break or play schedule you have set.
“This was my first experience using Rover, and Sandy went above and beyond. She provided consistent updates, shared photos, and gave our dog so much love and attention while we were out of town. She’s communicative, punctual, and incredibly reliable, we felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in such great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Such a sweetheart! My babies were fed and played with outside! Amy even sent me pictures while my pups were eating and playing! Thank you so much for the great drop in! looking forward to having you again!”

About: What sets me apart is the experience and love I bring from caring for my own six pets—four dogs, two cats, and even an opossum! I’ve always had a heart for homeless and rescued animals and take every opportunity to help pets in need. I’m patient, attentive, and passionate about making every pet feel safe, loved, and cared for like family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I currently work two jobs, and I use my free time to provide pet-sitting services and earn a little extra income on the side. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so it feels great to make extra money doing something I love. Caring for pets is something that brings me joy, and I’m happy to spend my free time giving them the attention, love, and companionship they deserve. I make sure every pet is well-fed, has plenty of fresh water, and gets their walks and exercise. I always make time for playtime and lots of love and attention. With the heat, I also pay extra attention to keeping pets cool and hydrated, making sure they are comfortable and safe while in my care.

About: Hello! My name is Ankita and I’m a college student on summer break. I’ve pet sit for many friends over the years and have experience with both dogs and cats! My brother has a dog and I’ve become very comfortable with all the responsibilities associated with them. Please reach out to me and I would be happy to discuss scheduling or any additional needs. Thank you!! I’m not working and do not have any major responsibilities so I will be available at most times. I would love to stop in, walk or spend time with your pets! My brother’s dog is constantly at our home and most of my days revolve around spending time with her! I always ensure that her environment is safe and clean, paying attention to her actions and needs, and spending lots of time playing and walking her! If you have any questions, please reach out.
“Kristina was awesome! Our dogs were in great hands while we were out of town for the day. She sent pictures and text updates during both of the visits. We recently moved to the area so finding someone we can trust to take care of our dogs seemed hard, but Kristina made us feel at ease :) we will definitely be using her again in the future!”

About: I have owned many dogs in my life. From big dogs to little senior chihuahuas have I had the pleasure of caring for in my home. I also grew up around horses, pigs, cats, chickens, and goats! I can’t remember ever having any aggressive experiences. I am working part time and will also be starting esthetician school part time. I will be working and doing school from 7-5. During my free time and weekends I can care for your pet. I am attentive. I can crate, feed, walk, and occupy your pet as needed. My own dog gets play time daily, fed once a day and plenty of outside time!
“Excellent. Booked Kellyn for drop in visits for our cat while out of town. She was communicative about when she would be dropping in and followed our instructions on what we needed. Will book again.”

About: Animals seem to gravitate to me, I have never had an issue befriending a stray dog, cat, or even llama. I’m always that one guy in the room petting the dog. I have a natural knack for animal care as well and spend a lot of time just being friends with my pets. I am currently looking for a part time, flexible job that allows me to be with my family more. Therefore I am currently not working as I look and I am fully available. I have a couple of schedule items that I work around but overall I have a very open schedule that pet care will work wonderfully with. In my home we have more of a relaxed environment. Dogs are allowed to run around the home freely for most hours of the day. Cats are allowed to roam the catio outside freely. No cats are indoors and dogs are let outside twice daily to run and play and a third time just to use the restroom. Dogs and cats are fed twice daily and water is freely available. In a clients home I follow any guidelines they have.

About: Hi! I’m a longtime cat owner with 13+ years of hands-on experience raising and caring for cats since they were 2 months old. My cats are now healthy, energetic senior cats, and over the years I’ve gained extensive experience understanding feline behavior, routines, and health needs. I’m experienced with all regular cat care tasks, including feeding, litter box cleaning, medication administration, grooming, and maintaining clean, stress-free routines. I’m also comfortable handling situations such as digestive issues, urinary problems, stress-related conditions like Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, ear/eye infections, and senior cat care. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and treat every cat as if they were my own. I’m free after 4pm in weekdays and almost full day available in the weekend. In the weekdays, I mainly available in the west Houston area and in the weekend, I can drive to any place in Houston. Please contact me for detailed availability and we can work things out. I’m a big fan of believing that if possible, indoor cats should not move around to reduce all kinds of incidents or surprises. So I only do drop-in visits to take care of your babies.
“This was our first time using Clare and Andi and we will definitely use them again! We loved the updates and pictures, even though one of our fur babies was too shy this time Twix loved her new friends!”

About: I have experience house sitting and caring for dogs and cats in their own homes, making sure they feel safe, and loved while their owners are away. I used to work full time at a dog boarding and daycare where I was around dogs everyday so I’m very familiar with all types of dog personalities!! I am no stranger to cats and I love them just as much as dogs :) I’m very respectful of clients’ homes and their pets needs, and I always like to prioritize clear communication!! I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, and overnight stays. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their personality and needs. I’ll treat your dog (and your home) with the same care I would my own. I offer reliable, calm, and attentive pet care—especially for dogs who thrive on routine and familiarity.
“Sierra is punctual with her drop in visits. She is patient with our puppy who is still learning to not jump on people and to not attack the food bowl as soon as it’s filled with food.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,528 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Brazos Country. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brazos Country. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
