About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life! We had a family dog when I was growing up and I would house/ pet sit for my neighbors when they would go out of town. I currently have three fur babies. A 2 year old Cane Corso/ Stafford Terrier named Moose, a 2 year old pit bull mix named Oakley and a cat named Romeo! Having three animals under one roof has been quite the experience but I’ve loved every moment of the chaos. Since I currently work from home full time I’m available Monday- Sunday most weeks and my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye on your baby and adhere to whatever potty break or play schedule you have set.
“This was my first experience using Rover, and Sandy went above and beyond. She provided consistent updates, shared photos, and gave our dog so much love and attention while we were out of town. She’s communicative, punctual, and incredibly reliable, we felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in such great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Allison dropped in on Kobe for multiple days while I was commuting in and out of town for a work event. She responded quickly and was flexible. She followed directions and gave great updates and photos during the check-ins. We would definitely use her again in the future!”

About: What sets me apart is the experience and love I bring from caring for my own six pets—four dogs, two cats, and even an opossum! I’ve always had a heart for homeless and rescued animals and take every opportunity to help pets in need. I’m patient, attentive, and passionate about making every pet feel safe, loved, and cared for like family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I currently work two jobs, and I use my free time to provide pet-sitting services and earn a little extra income on the side. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so it feels great to make extra money doing something I love. Caring for pets is something that brings me joy, and I’m happy to spend my free time giving them the attention, love, and companionship they deserve. I make sure every pet is well-fed, has plenty of fresh water, and gets their walks and exercise. I always make time for playtime and lots of love and attention. With the heat, I also pay extra attention to keeping pets cool and hydrated, making sure they are comfortable and safe while in my care.
“Hannah was amazing!! She updated us every check in with the cutest pictures. She showed up on time and took very good care of my pups. We really enjoyed having her and will definitely use her services in the future.”

Throughout the week, I make sure pets stay in a clean, healthy, and consistent environment by: Cleaning pet areas like bedding, crates, and food bowls Providing basic grooming such as brushing Keeping a consistent routine so pets feel safe and secure Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I make sure to follow all care instructions closely and keep a calm, secure environment where pets can feel at ease. I Keep a close eye on pets and never leave them unattended for long periods. Follow feeding schedules, routines, and any specific instructions you provide Make sure pets are in a safe, clean space free from hazards. Use secure leashes/harnesses during walks and stay aware of surroundings. Give pets plenty of attention, patience, and care so they feel comfortable. I also understand that every pet has a different personality, so I adjust my care based on their needs whether they’re energetic, shy, or need extra attention. I’m comfortable with active and energetic dogs that need regular exercise and playtime. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different energy levels and enjoy keeping active pets engaged with walks and playtime. About: Hi! I’m a longtime cat owner with 13+ years of hands-on experience raising and caring for cats since they were 2 months old. My cats are now healthy, energetic senior cats, and over the years I’ve gained extensive experience understanding feline behavior, routines, and health needs. I’m experienced with all regular cat care tasks, including feeding, litter box cleaning, medication administration, grooming, and maintaining clean, stress-free routines. I’m also comfortable handling situations such as digestive issues, urinary problems, stress-related conditions like Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, ear/eye infections, and senior cat care. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and treat every cat as if they were my own. I’m free after 4pm in weekdays and almost full day available in the weekend. In the weekdays, I mainly available in the west Houston area and in the weekend, I can drive to any place in Houston. Please contact me for detailed availability and we can work things out. I’m a big fan of believing that if possible, indoor cats should not move around to reduce all kinds of incidents or surprises. So I only do drop-in visits to take care of your babies.
About: Animals seem to gravitate to me, I have never had an issue befriending a stray dog, cat, or even llama. I’m always that one guy in the room petting the dog. I have a natural knack for animal care as well and spend a lot of time just being friends with my pets. I am currently looking for a part time, flexible job that allows me to be with my family more. Therefore I am currently not working as I look and I am fully available. I have a couple of schedule items that I work around but overall I have a very open schedule that pet care will work wonderfully with. In my home we have more of a relaxed environment. Dogs are allowed to run around the home freely for most hours of the day. Cats are allowed to roam the catio outside freely. No cats are indoors and dogs are let outside twice daily to run and play and a third time just to use the restroom. Dogs and cats are fed twice daily and water is freely available. In a clients home I follow any guidelines they have.
“They are awesomeeee. Our girls get great care and love, our big girl is a fawn Great Dane and even though they are the sweetest and such babies they can be intimidating because of their size and that’s not the case with Andi and Clare. Thank y’all very much Karl and Doris”

“Maria was fantastic. She took care of my 2 cats, feeding (wet and dry food), cleaning (3 litters) and making sure they had enough water. She sent me pictures every day she was there. Maria was punctual, organized and thorough. She made sure everything was done as requested. I felt my cats were in good hands and well taken care of, while I was on vacation, my mind was at ease. I would definitely book her again for my next trip and recommend you highly use her services if needed.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
