Information Chelsie Y. would like to know about your pet

My pup was a Chow mix so I understand every breed may have some characteristics that show through. I have spent 6 months going through an animal behaviorist training for my own down, 5 months with a negative and positive reinforcement specialist, and 4 months with a police dog trainer.

A typical day

My neighborhood provides a trail, dog park, and multiple pet stations if they are staying with me. If I am going to your area I can look up nearby parks/trails or I am open to suggestions. I love exercise and I am open to any preferences.

Full-time Pet Care Provider

Pet care experience

Hi! I turned my passion for animals into a career. I specialize with reactive and standoff-ish pets. So look no further! I started using Rover many years ago due to my pup (no longer with us) constantly getting treatment for UTI’s every time I boarded him. A year into moving out of state I realized many owners also don’t know where to turn to receive quality care for their loved ones while they travel, run errands, work their daily jobs, or just have a quick business trip. I decided to bridge this gap, and I’ve been in love with what I do every day since. My dog had been my best friend and his care was important to me. The two major things that set me apart outside of my vast experience with animals, is my empathy and commitment to treat my clients pets as I would want my own fur baby treated and my transparency with open communication. My own dog had extreme needs when it came to feeding, play, and attention. He only ate foods a certain way, needed thorough exercise, and needed one on one time. Because of this I genuinely want to learn your pets needs inside and out! I will commit to treating your loved one the same way I treat mine. I have experience with large breeds, aggressive pets, and everything in between! I am also a high-touch provider and will make sure I stay in touch, as this is what I’d expect. I like to meet each pet first in order to build trust. I get on their level and allow them the space to come to me. I make sure that they are comfortable in my home. Please divulge any aggressive triggers, marking of territory inside, chewing, or habits. If there is any destruction to my property during a boarding I will need a signed waiver stating you accept responsibility for reimbursement caused by your pet that was done without any issues. I will always be honest with my client load, and we can discuss a customized package. I can do weekend, holidays, and any other time you may need. All I ask is for transparency. I have even traveled with families. I will make sure to avoid all potentially hazardous environments. This includes busy pet parks, children, other dogs, and strangers. My job is to make sure they return to you healthy and safe. This means only going to my personal dog park when they are the only pup, walking them on off hours, and being vigilant.

Chelsie is the best sitter for our pup! We've used her many times and always get frequent updates and pictures and know he is getting the best care! Chelsie's dog Apollo also is best buds with our dog which we love. Highly recommend!!

I found Chelsie on Rover. She came once a day to walk and feed my yellow lab. She did a great job, arrived on time, sent me videos and was very communicative. I highly recommend her.
