“Jon is responsive, reliable, kind, and professional. He is great about letting us know when he’s on his way, his ETA, and then gives us a heads up before he knocks on the door. My dog is extremely anxious, and this has been challenging; Jon has been so accommodating, open to trying anything to get her to trust him, and clearly cares about her.”

About: I've fostered a cat for several months in the past, and spent years with my friends' dogs since I couldn't have one myself growing up. To make up for all that time lost with no pets except a fish, I've decided to join Rover and spend some time getting to know and take care of your animals. I am currently looking for work so have lots of free time and am an active outdoorsy person if that's what your animal needs. I'm pretty flexible, so if you have last-minute requests or need to cancel late, it won't be a big deal — so no need to worry! I really love animals and can't wait to meet your pet! :) Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my routine right now. I have a very open schedule and love spending my time with animals—they bring me so much joy. I'm available most hours, any day of the week, and always happy to give pets the attention and care they deserve. In my clients' homes, I focus on creating a calm, safe environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’ve looked after a variety of animals and always prioritize their well-being, sticking to their routines and preferences. I’ve also taken pet care courses to stay informed and prepared. While I’m not able to board pets in my own home right now, I can offer drop-in visits, walks, and playtime—with access to a backyard and nearby parks for fresh air and fun.

“Ethan is excellent with my dog on recurring weekly walks. He is detail oriented, punctual and communicative. His weekly scheduled walks with my dog are extremely helpful.”

“Thank you so much! Are you free next week?”

“Melissa is an exceptional dog lover and focuses on training as well as walks. She is very reliable and we have absolute trust in her that our pups are in great hands.”

About: I have been a dog lover for as long as I can remember! I grew up with a Westie who was a handful and lived to 18. I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family ever since high school and recently thought I’d join Rover to give my rescue pup a friend for walks and play time. I am a freelance designer so I work from home with flexible hours. I recently adopted my pup Cooper and the rescue told me how much she loves dogs so I signed up for Rover to give her some friends! I plan walks about 4 times a day but would accommodate more for your pup. I live next to Fort Greene Park and can go to the dog park there once a day (unless you don’t want). I live in a door man building and have space for your dogs crate and anything else they need! I am home all day so will be always watching over your furry friend.

“Fantastic job with our high anxiety dog. Will book again. Good communication throughout”

“Thanks so much for all of your communication and flexibility this extended weekend. You made my summer trips possible. Have a great school year (and engagement!)”
