“Jennifer is definitely among the greatest sitters you can get! She was so caring and accommodating. Her cats are also very sweet and sociable, it was great to see how well they got along with my cat Tori. She also sent a lot of photos and videos so I can tell Tori is having a great time at Jennifer's place. Highly recommended to anyone who needs to board their fur babies!”

“Melinda was great with Sonny. She listened to me as I explained my dog's needs since he is an older dog. Despite not having a fence she explained how she keeps the dogs under her care safe. I would rebook with Melinda again.”
“Ursula was AMAZING!!! I needed help at the last minute for a full 19 days! Ursula took in my puppy and treated her like family. I received photos and updates everyday. Ursula is kind, professional, flexible and a true animal lover. 5 solid stars:)”

“Raina was exceptional with our dog, Auggie. She sent daily videos and pictures with updates. It was very clear that he was well taken of, loved, and exercised daily. We were able to really enjoy our family vacation, knowing he was happy! We can’t wait to book with her again.”

“Omg I can’t say enough. Alicia was awesome and my husband said after we meet that he knew she would love our little Diego. He looked so happy and gained a new family. Thanks so much Alicia for the wonderful pictures and updates.”

“Sonja was so accommodating. She was very flexible, helpful and patient. I liked that she offered a meet and greet, provided photos and updates. I could tell my Lady enjoyed her stay.”

“It’s hard to leave your fur baby with a total stranger but after the meet and greet I could tell Kathryn and family are truly “dog people.” The pics and feedback we received made it easier for us to enjoy our trip! Highly recommended!”

About: I have always had a dog and cat in my life (and still do!). I have been using Rover for two years and I don't seem to want to stop anytime soon. I have trained two golden retrievers and walked a lot of puppies, senior dogs and many ages in-between. One of my own dogs was awarded canine good citizenship before my children were born. I love being around animals and I have a caring nature. Now that my kids are getting older, it fits my need to get exercise and bring some joy into my life. I would love to give your pet some snuggles, snacks and I am always mindful to send lots of photos to ensure you can relax while you are away. I know that is what I would want as a pet owner. Some people think you have to either be a "dog person" or a "cat person". Not me! They both have a place in my heart for very different reasons. Cats take some time, but I love their comforting purr, the playfulness of spunky kittens or just petting their soft fur. Some owners simply just someone they can trust for a check-in. I am happy to provide the details needed so you can be OK while you are away. I am typically available in the afternoons as long as I don’t have a meeting scheduled (I work from home) and most evenings are available. Weekends are the best time to book care if you will be out for soccer games, dinner or long evening plans. I have kids as well and I have used Rover for 6+ years on my own pets. I am excited to return the favor to you now that my kids are older. I have used crates with my own pets during training and I will follow whatever safety instructions are needed. I understand all collars, how to avoid run ins with feisty dogs and other concerns you may have. I know how to troubleshoot dogs that like to find hiding spots or have the ability to slip out of the door. I am 40+ and I am raising tweens at this point, so I have a little wisdom under me that other walkers may not have at this point. I am also trustworthy. I have a great full-time job coupled with flexibility. I just want to combine my love of pets with a little extra income.

“Worked really well with my not so easy dog! Was responsive and sent a lot of photos and videos! I would definitely recommend her and will be going back!”

“Jenna is amazing, She sent me pictures and updates on my baby.So I would always know that he was in good hands and when I picked him up.I don't think he wanted to come home.He wanted to stay!! Lol. We'll definitely rebook with her!”

“Jamie was super nice and we got a picture of our boy everyday! She and her friend spent time with him and cuddled him, which is the best thing that we could ask for because Ghost loves his cuddles. We will definitely ask Jamie to watch Ghost again whenever we need her! :)”

“Asia was so sweet and professional. When we first arrived Asia and her fur baby Crypto welcome us. Asia made my lil boy (Biskit) feel so at home. I asked Asia to send me text, pictures, and videos, and she did just that. That really made my heart fill of joy to see pictures and videos of my lil boy(Biskit) and to know that he was well taken care of. We thank you so much Asia from the bottom of our hearts 💕 Sylvia and Antwon Dudley.”

“Laronna has taken care of Sadie twice and is really good with her. She sends pictures of how she is doing during her stay. I'm more anxious than Sadie. Thank-you for taking good care of her. Donna C”

“This lovely young couple treated my Sadie as if she were their own. While I was away on my trip,I was contacted every day with a picture and a report. Sadie is 12 years old and it’s hard to leave her but I would leave her with this couple again! Thank you, Morgan and Eric appreciate it!”

“Hattie was great! She took such good care of Essie, kept me updated and even alerted me to a possible concern. She showed great care and treated Essie as her own. Will definitely use her again!”

“Tim was such an answered prayer! Our petsitter had to cancel last minute and he was so willing to step in and was patient and flexible with all of our questions. Both of our dogs told us they had a blast at his dog parks and playing with Oliver his sweet dog. I really appreciated the extra time he took to send pics and videos as well as deliver them back home to help us out since we were running late getting home due to weather and holiday traffic. Rusty and Daisy give Tim two paws up and we do too! We hope to get lucky enough to have him watch our dogs again in the near future!”

“Leslie is our go-to dog sitter! She always makes sure our little fur baby is well cared for, and she always goes the extra mile to make her comfortable. We get lots of photos, so we always know what’s happening and feel confident that our doggie is in excellent hands.”

Amazing cat sitter! Qiyun/Kiki was so accommodating when we had to book our cat Lucy on very short notice. She took great care of her, sending regular pictures and updates on how she was doing. I would rate her 100 stars if I could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Definitely have your kitty stay here!

Lucy had a great stay with Carly and Doug. We got several messages and pictures during our trip, and she seemed to get along very well with them and their dog. Lots of exercise and attention. We'll definitely contact them again the next time we're going out of town. Thanks so much!

Lorri was amazing! We needed a sitter last minute and Lorri was more than accommodating. Lorri sent us many updates and photos throughout the weekend which we really appreciated. Momo looked like she had a ton of fun with Lorri and we will definitely reach out again for our next trip! Thanks again Lorri!

Sara was an absolute savior. We booked a trip last minute and she was able be an amazing host for Gia. She was more than accommodating with Gias needs for walks throughout the day and my needs for pics. Gia gets some anxiety when away from home and sometimes doesn’t eat so much the first days. Sara kept me well informed of Gias behavior and I felt relieved that she was with someone who cared so much. More than satisfied and much appreciated.

Amy and Carl took such great care of my dog. It was our first time using Rover, let alone leaving her with someone outside of our family, so we were definitely nervous since she can be a bit anxious. But they were both so patient and kind with her that she warmed up to them really quickly. Amy was also amazing about sending daily updates and pictures, which we always looked forward to while we were on vacation. I’m really glad we chose Amy over traditional boarding and would absolutely book with them again in the future!

Our little nervous dog was so happy and so relaxed with Bhairavi and Gary! Bhairavi is an amazing Rover sitter- so kind, thoughtful, communicative, and caring- we will definitely book with them again! We received tons of updates and pictures. It is clear our dog was well loved. We knew she was in great hands the whole time.

Blanca is the absolute best!!! She took amazing care of my dog Oscar. I loved all the pictures, videos, and updates she sent me during his stay. The communication was great and she was very flexible with the drop off and pick up times. I will definitely be using her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
