“Caitlin and Adam were absolutely amazing and so accommodating! Our dog, had the best time at their place for the holiday. They sent a ton of photos and were incredible. I could not have asked for a better experience.”

“Oliver has been there twice. He was very excited when he saw the house the second time and knew he was going back there. Jordan has always communicated with me very well and been very flexible with arrangements”

“Absolutely wonderful! Our cat Moose had her first big trip outside our home since we’ve adopted her. She was very nervous yet curious about the new change for the day, but she did great with the massive help of Jennifer. Jennifer was very accommodating and helpful - she sent updates throughout the day with photos and messages of Moose’s day! I would greatly recommend Jennifer, especially for first timers who are unsure about their cat staying somewhere other than their own home.”

“This was our first experience with the Rover.com app. I was a little nervous leaving my baby for 10 days, I have to admit. But Blake was awesome with our dog and me. He has 2 sweet dogs and they all got along great. He sent me pics and communicated with me daily. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor space. I will def use him again. Our pup can be finicky but she did great. All Good!!!”

“Annie and Michael were the perfect sitters for us. We had an extended board at their home and were a little nervous as our Great Pyrenees had never boarded for this length of stay. Also, we had some medication that needed to be given with little notice. No Worries! Annie was calm and communicative and her three boys were loving with our big doggie. Lots of cute photos and instance response. Thank you so very much for your care!”

“Leah was great to work with and very responsive provided pictures. Love that. She only takes one client at a time and doesn’t have pets to avoid potential conflicts. Nice big fenced backyard. We will be back for sure.”

“Catherine is amazing!!!!!!! My baby had a ball she was so tired when we got home. It’s so hard to find people good with bigger dogs. She is our new dog sitter for sure. You won’t be disappointed.”

“Jenna is amazing, She sent me pictures and updates on my baby.So I would always know that he was in good hands and when I picked him up.I don't think he wanted to come home.He wanted to stay!! Lol. We'll definitely rebook with her!”

“Lucy was fantastic with Koda! He's a high-energy adolescent shepherd mix, so I'm always grateful when I find someone who really understands dogs and is thoughtful about introductions, play, and group dynamics. She sent updates and videos throughout the weekend, which I appreciated so much, and it was clear that Koda was having an absolute blast. He came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. As a dog sitter myself, I can be a little picky about who I leave my dog with, and I would not hesitate to book with Lucy again. Highly recommend!”

“Loved having Marie and family care for Gracie while out of town. I was sent daily pictures of the kids playing and cuddling with her which she throughly loved the attention.”

“Karen was delightful. I had no concerns about leaving Liberty there. She was responsive and communicative. She took her for several walks too. She was experienced and extremely gracious. I would leave Liberty with her again.”

“This is my very first time sending over my 8 motnhs old dog for boarding, am sooo happy with Summer and her family. Kobe loved them and their dogs. She kept sending me a lot of updates with kobes pictures and videos. If you are looking for day and night boarding for your furbaby, I would say shes the one. Glad i found her :)”

“Five plus stars! Dustin and Margaret and their children were great with our two dogs. They were able to devote their time to playing and snuggling with our dogs who seemed quite well and happy after a week there. We are so thankful that we found a loving family to take great care of our pups!”

“I highly recommend Sonya and her family for pet sitting! I recently left my dog, Macario, with them while I was away camping for several days, and they took excellent care of him. It was clear from the updates and photos that he was comfortable, well-loved, and treated like part of the family. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great stay. They were easy to communicate with, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure both Macario and I felt comfortable throughout the experience. As a dog mom, having peace of mind while you're away is priceless, and that's exactly what they provided. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Macario!”

“Copper had a great time at Carly and Doug's house. We received updates with photos, and he looked like he was having so much fun with new friends. We really appreciated the homey enviornment they provided - it made us feel at ease leaving our pup! Thank you Carly and Doug!”

“Our dog enjoyed her stay at Katie’s! Katie was attentive to her needs and her dog got along great with ours. Katie’s home is cozy and Finley enjoyed the large backyard. I hope to be able to rebook with her in the future!”

“Teddi had the best time ever with Sarah! Sarah gave me daily updates and all the pictures I wanted. She was a great communicator from the start. Teddi already can’t wait to go back. Thanks, Sarah!”

“Nicole and Tim were great sitters! They were flexible, very quick to respond, and their home was very clean. They took great care of Quinn and I know she had a great time with them.”

We’ve been using the same sitter for Bentley and couldn’t be happier! It’s such a relief knowing he’s in great hands every time. Bentley always comes home happy and well cared for — you can tell he’s truly loved during his stays. We keep coming back because the consistency and trust are unmatched. Highly recommend!

Shelly was amazing with Jax! We got lots of pictures and videos of a boy who was having a blast at her house. What a great backyard space for them to play. She was thorough at explaining everything and is so professional. Thank you Shelly for taking care of our boy ❤️

Truly incredible ❤️ We needed a last-minute sitter for a 1.5 week trip. Makena was miraculously available and ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. It’s always a little scary leaving your dog with someone you don’t know, but we did a quick meet and greet ahead of time and then Makena was amazing about sending photos and videos with quick updates over the course of the stay. Our dog was so well cared for and clearly felt loved and cozy in Makena’s home. I’m so so grateful and so sad this was our first and last time with Makena given we’re moving out of state soon. Any and every dog who gets to spend time with her (and her incredibly sweet dog, Bear) is so lucky! Our girl can be super anxious and shy but felt right at home from the very first day. Makena is awesome ❤️

Melanie was awesome. She sent daily updates and pics of my little boy. It was is first time staying with other dogs and I was a little nervous at first but Melanie ensured that everything would be ok. Nugget enjoyed himself and made 2 friends during his stay :). I would definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
