“Nicole and Tim do great with our dog. She ran straight up to the door on drop off and was excited to see them again! Nicole and Tim send frequent updates and pictures and we feel very comfortable that all her needs are met. Would recommend to others looking for someone to care for their pets.”

“The peace of mind I have when I leave my puppy with Caitlin and Adam is invaluable. We were gone for almost 2 weeks and I never had a single concern. They take such good care of Jet!”

“Jackie and Enoch were great with Mia! Mia had a blast with their pup, with plenty of space to run around and a cozy home to rest after all the fun. They provided plenty of pictures/updates and we're always quick to respond. We would happily have them watch Mia again!!”

“What a delight! Reba was so wonderful with my two senior dogs. She was attentive, and her home and backyard were a great vacation for our pups while we were on vacation. I got lots of photos and updates! Highly recommend her and my dogs can't wait to come back again!”

“Patricia was awesome! Harrison was so relaxed and happy that he hopped back up on her couch when it was time for us to go. She responded promptly always and was super accommodating of our last minute request. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for the last 20+ years. I also grew up with dogs. They have taught me a lot. I’ve met people through my dogs that I wouldn’t normally meet. I’ve had puppies several times and I’ve taken care of Senior dogs with eye issues, dementia, heart issues and anxiety. They have all lived long lives- 13 to almost 18 years old. I love them all and enjoy their company. I’ll take care of your dog as if they are mine. I currently have a young Cavapoo that loves company and we are both excited to care and play with your dog! I current work 100% from home Monday-Friday. I have a fenced in yard where the dogs can hang out and run. I take breaks from work to let my dog out several times a day. I walk my dog in the morning, at lunch and after work. I have a fenced back yard, I can crate or gate them if necessary. When I walk dogs, I make sure they are walked on a leash and I always make sure if we see another dog that it’s safe if dogs get close. If not, I make sure we allow enough distance that there isn’t an issue. Before I feed my dogs I clean out their bowls before each meal and give them clean water everyday. I have had Senior dogs and I was very faithful on giving them their medicine on a regular basis and on a regular schedule.
“Larrona and her parents are loving & caring. My Trudie really enjoys being at her place. She is flexible and accommodating. I’ve booked multiple stays and each time exceeds my expectations. She’s a keeper!”

“Gabrielle accepted my late request and went above and beyond to care for my little guy. My cat seemed very comfortable and happy in her space and she was very attentive to him and his needs. She watched him for me when he needed medicine administered twice daily and extra special attention which he got. I’m so grateful to have found her on Rover! Will definitely reach out to her again if I need a sitter.”

“Melanie was fantastic with my dog, Monty. I enjoyed receiving multiple updates and lots of photos to let me know he was doing okay. I highly recommend using Melanie.”

“Blake was AMAZING! He took my same-day booking when I had to travel last minute and my usual sitter fell through 🩷 it was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving Woods with someone he didn’t know so I was nervous, but I got videos and updates throughout each day! Both me and Woods had a great experience and I’ll 100% be reaching out Blake in the future”

“Our Kevin loved his vacation with Lorena. We received daily photos and notes. And, the fenced backyard was a bonus. Lorena truly enjoys dogs and offers a home away from home. We are grateful that we found her!”

“we booked at the last min and the availability was open she responded quickly very friendly our Ziggy had a blast we was a little late picking him up and they was very understanding! We will most definitely be reaching out again! Thanks again!”

“Catherine was great! Coordinating the booking was a breeze. She was very nice and attentive to my pup, Tammy who was so tired from all the playing during her stay. When I picked her up she was in great spirits and couldn't stop smiling the rest of the day. She really enjoyed her time spent with Catherine. I will book again and highly recommend to anyone.”

“Once again, Lorri took excellent care of our girl. We were gone 2 weeks & received a text and photo every day reassuring us that all was good back home. We will definitely call on Lorri again! Thank you Lorri!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Maplewood
Ashlie and Phillip were great and we could tell Max did well. He’s on several medications and that didn’t seem to be a difficult thing for them to handle.. Max got plenty of exercise (play) and love from their entire family. Communication with photos was excellent and despite this being our first time with them, we were more than pleased and know Max will be visiting them again!

Shari provided a wonderful environment and loving care for our dog, Poppy. Poppy was relaxed at her home and excited to see Shari the second time we booked her. She sent us cute photos and updates and made us feel that Poppy was in the best hands. We will definitely book Shari again!

Maddy our little dog was happily & lovingly greeted at drop off. Also, she appeared in good spirits on pick up. Marie was very nice, as were her children. We found Marie to be communicative and quick to respond to our texts. We did not receive any pictures, perhaps because it was a relatively short overnight. We would definitely use Marie’s for Maddy again.

Isa is great!! So friendly, and attentive and loving with my dog. I know Lily was well-taken care of and had a good time. I could tell immediately when I picked up my dog that she had bonded with Isa and her friend. Plus she got Lily to eat while I was gone, so that's an accomplishment! I will definitely want to use Isa again for future boarding.

I was so nervous to leave my dog for the first time, but as soon as I got pictures from Leslie on that first day of my trip, I was at ease. Leslie communicated everyday and was also incredibly flexible, extending my dog's stay due to a late flight. I would definitely have my dog stay with Leslie again.

Gabrielle accepted my late request and went above and beyond to care for my little guy. My cat seemed very comfortable and happy in her space and she was very attentive to him and his needs. She watched him for me when he needed medicine administered twice daily and extra special attention which he got. I’m so grateful to have found her on Rover! Will definitely reach out to her again if I need a sitter.

Lucy was fantastic! From the start, her communication was excellent, and she kept me updated throughout my dog's stay with thoughtful messages and photos. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was in such capable hands. She was clearly experienced, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure my dog was comfortable and well cared for. I felt completely confident in her abilities the entire time, which made it much easier to enjoy my trip. I would absolutely book with Lucy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional sitter. Thank you, Lucy, for taking such great care of my pup!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
