About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I only recently, in the past couple of years, started taking care of other people’s pups, and I really enjoy it. I treat all pups as if they were my own. I am retired. I play pickleball quite a bit, but I am never gone more than a few hours at a time. My husband works from home, so there is almost always someone around to accompany your pup. My favorite part of the job is showering pups with love. We have mattresses on the floor and if the pups are willing, we love to snuggle with them. I typically walk them 4 to 6 times a day, depending on the wants/needs of the pup and the weather. I will be sure to check in multiple times daily with you and send photos and videos. About: My pet care experience includes not only caretaking for my own dog and family friend's dogs over the years, but I also worked for a pet boarding and daycare facility for 2 years. I will treat your pup with the same love and care as my own because they deserve it <3 I'm currently job searching for an additional part-time role to do with Rover, so my availability is pretty open right now for dog walking, dog sitting, etc. Before I do any caretaking for your dog, I do require meeting the dog(s) with the owner present on a separate day to make sure the dog is familiar and comfortable with me before I come over to take care of the dog(s). When I come over to your house to either walk or dog sit, I will first make sure I read all instructions carefully for what the pet owner wants & needs for their pup. Then, I will walk/dog-sit with them and send you some pictures of your pet to give you updates on how they are doing. I love it when people send me pictures/updates while I'm away from my dog, because it makes me feel secure knowing they are living well. Please let me know if you would like this or prefer not. Lastly, I will give them some pets and cuddles as desired and some play time so they have some enrichment time while I'm over. And of course, will make sure to lock up the house as instructed by the pet owner.

About: Hello STL pet parents! I am new to Rover but I've taken care of all ages, sizes, and various breeds of dogs since I was young, ranging from Chihuahuas to 110 lb Bouviers. My husband (former dog trainer) and I are the proud dog parents of two friendly rescue chihuahua mixes and we take them everywhere with us when we can and consider them to be our family. We have also had the privilege of caring for a rescue pittie who was skittish around other dogs at first, and a pug lab mix who never met a stranger. I nursed one of my current rescues through heartworm treatment after first adopting her and saw our pug lab mix through chemo when she was diagnosed with lymphoma. I take the care and love of dogs very seriously and believe we owe them the utmost respect. It would be my honor to apply that same philosophy of care and compassion (and fun!) with your beloved family member. I can be available any day of the week, though I prefer notice for weekends. Overall however I can be flexible! If the service is a walk I would prefer that to take place before 6:30 p.m. My yard is fenced in with a privacy fence and if I let dogs into the yard I am always out there with them the entire time. I have two small dogs who are friendly and enjoy gentle playing with others. I'm also comfortable visiting in your home or taking your doggo out on an adventure.

He's a high-energy adolescent shepherd mix, so I'm always grateful when I find someone who really understands dogs and is thoughtful about introductions, play, and group dynamics. She sent updates and videos throughout the weekend, which I appreciated so much, and it was clear that Koda was having an absolute blast. He came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. As a dog sitter myself, I can be a little picky about who I leave my dog with, and I would not hesitate to book with Lucy again. Highly recommend!”

“Sarah opened her home to my girls and made them comfortable. They usually go to their granny's but all were going on this trip, so it was a very big deal for them to stay elsewhere. They played, walked, rested, and probably were questioning coming home, they were given so much attention. Sarah shared photos and even with a snowstorm ensured they were safe and had fun. I was very pleased. We will call upon sarah again!”

“Our dogs were happy and healthy when we picked them up after a 10-day stay. Catherine provided updates and pics throughout their stay. Her dog Bodie is great with other dogs, (big and small; we have a pug and a large yellow lab and he was safe and respectful with both of them. Catherine provided a meet and greet for us and the dogs prior to their stay on neutral territory at a nearby park. Her dog, Bodie, is excellently trained. Catherine has a calm assertive energy with the dogs which sets the tone for harmony in the ‘pack.’ We are so grateful for her care and expertise and will definitely return for another stay.”
