I live in Brentwood where many of the residents have dogs. So we’ll definitely meet some friends when we’re out for walks or get the zoomies! I live in a courtyard and have a lot of room to play with long leashes, trees for shade and a water spigot for providing cool water during playtime! The only thing missing is our own private pool!

Does your pup have any aggressions or afraid of certain things? Thunder and lightning is a biggie! Does your pup freak or doesn’t care? How do you calm your pup? I do have the Red Cross Animal First Aid app in case anything happens. Some things I like to learn ahead of time: • Any behaviors I should not allow because you don’t allow them? • Any schedule I should maintain? • Complete the Details and Rover.com Questions sections about your dog(s). These sections are not there for show! I need to know this information! • What is your preferred method of communication? • Any health issues that I need to address? (e.g., dietary restrictions, medicine or behavior triggers?) • Who is your local vet and their contact information? • Has the dog bitten anyone?*** This is a liability issue. If your pup bites someone, or another dog, I am required to report it. If you don’t tell me, I can’t take special care to keep him/her away from others. That could make you negligent. Provide a printout, or photo of one, showing the following shots are up to date: • Rabies • DHLPP • Bordetella Is the dog housebroken? (Don’t laugh, it just happened to me) Does the dog have, or just ended, a bout with worms? (Don’t laugh, it just happened to me)
A typical day
My two cocker spaniels love to play, when weather permits, and my neighbors love to get together in the courtyard around dinner time. So we’ll certainly get our fair share of time outside having fun.

I’ve had Cocker Spaniels since the mid-80s, and they have been my best friends ever since! I have two of my own right now! They are so fun and friendly, and love to meet new friends whenever they can. I’ve also been a long-time volunteer with the Animal Protective Association Shelter, which is always so amazing and rewarding. Looking after dogs and helping them transition into their forever homes is really a great experience! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure we’re all a good fit and gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do! I know how difficult it can be to be away from your best friend, so I’m here to make that time as easy as possible! When your pup stays with me, I’m always happy to send updates so you can see just how much fun we’re having together!

Lesley was a true blessing when we were frantically looking for a sitter last minute. It was our time using Rover and first time using a non-family member to watch Asher so we were very anxious! From meet-and-greet and communication while Asher was with her, to his tail waging goodbye at pickup, we’re grateful to Lesley (and her pups) for welcoming him.
