“Stella had an amazing time with Ashlie and Phillip! They are very comfortable with large dogs and made me feel so at ease leaving my pet in their care. Their home is perfect with a fenced in backyard and the entire family is used to having dogs around. I received picture/updates and had a wonderful experience! I will definitely be using Ashlie and Phillip in the future!”

“Amelia was great! My dog was totally comfortable at her home. She sent pictures each day and kept us posted on how he was doing. She also took him on big walks through the parks. Would definitely recommend and will use again!”

About: I have always had a dog and cat in my life (and still do!). I have been using Rover for two years and I don't seem to want to stop anytime soon. I have trained two golden retrievers and walked a lot of puppies, senior dogs and many ages in-between. One of my own dogs was awarded canine good citizenship before my children were born. I love being around animals and I have a caring nature. Now that my kids are getting older, it fits my need to get exercise and bring some joy into my life. I would love to give your pet some snuggles, snacks and I am always mindful to send lots of photos to ensure you can relax while you are away. I know that is what I would want as a pet owner. Some people think you have to either be a "dog person" or a "cat person". Not me! They both have a place in my heart for very different reasons. Cats take some time, but I love their comforting purr, the playfulness of spunky kittens or just petting their soft fur. Some owners simply just someone they can trust for a check-in. I am happy to provide the details needed so you can be OK while you are away. I am typically available in the afternoons as long as I don’t have a meeting scheduled (I work from home) and most evenings are available. Weekends are the best time to book care if you will be out for soccer games, dinner or long evening plans. I have kids as well and I have used Rover for 6+ years on my own pets. I am excited to return the favor to you now that my kids are older. I have used crates with my own pets during training and I will follow whatever safety instructions are needed. I understand all collars, how to avoid run ins with feisty dogs and other concerns you may have. I know how to troubleshoot dogs that like to find hiding spots or have the ability to slip out of the door. I am 40+ and I am raising tweens at this point, so I have a little wisdom under me that other walkers may not have at this point. I am also trustworthy. I have a great full-time job coupled with flexibility. I just want to combine my love of pets with a little extra income.
“Katie is the absolute best! She was Dolly's foster mom and her dog Eva is super sweet. Dolly always comes home happy and tired. She truly treats her like she's one of her own.”

“Nicole and Tim were great sitters! They were flexible, very quick to respond, and their home was very clean. They took great care of Quinn and I know she had a great time with them.”

“I couldn’t be more pleased with Raina and the incredible care she provided for my two dogs. We had to leave suddenly for a family emergency, and she was so quick to respond and incredibly accommodating—allowing us to drop them off on our way to the airport without any stress. She made my dogs feel so loved and comfortable while we were away, which meant everything to us during such a difficult time. She also sent tons of videos and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were happy and in great hands. I truly can’t recommend her enough and will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“My dog Apollo loved his time at Beth's house. He was able to spend a lot of time playing in her fenced backyard, which is his favorite things to do, and Beth kept me updated regularly with pictures of him playing. We would definitely book with Beth again in the future.”

About: I’ve been up around animals my whole life and have experience with all different types. I’m comfortable with pets at every stage, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m reliable when it comes to sticking to routines, whether that’s specific feeding times, multiple daily walks, or just giving your pet the attention they’re used to. I genuinely love spending time with animals and will treat your pet like my own while you’re away. I work remotely, so I’m home throughout the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, potty breaks, and playtime. I also go on several walks throughout the day for dogs that need extra exercise or energy release. I’m available for boarding in my home, as well as drop-in visits and check-ins throughout the day depending on your pet’s needs and routine. I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can safely run around and explore, and I always make sure pets are supervised and comfortable while in my care. I’m happy to follow any feeding schedules, medication instructions, crate routines, or special requests to help your pet feel at home. I can care for pets at my house or make visits to your home throughout the day to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible.
“Absolutely amazing experience! I needed a last-minute place for my Husky for an extended trip, and Marie was everything my little guy needed and more. She sent photos daily and made the entire process simple and easy. I'm so grateful to her and her loving family!”

“Jacob is a wonderful pet sitter. He took care of my two cats and kept me updated with pics and notes about how they were doing. One of my cats’ had trouble adjusting but he encouraged her everyday to come out of her safe place. She finally came out on the last day. So I will definitely use him again. By the way he took my cats in an emergency situation and contacted me right away. Thank you to Rover, but mostly a huge shout out and thank you to Jacob.”

“Francie is simply AMAZING!!! I wasn’t sure how my Jayla would do but Francie welcomed her in and got her all settled. She put my worries at ease and sent photos and updates. Will be booking with her again!!”

“Lorena was awesome! Basel was immediately comfortable and genuinely looked so happy there in all of the photos she sent us. Usually when we pick him up from somewhere, the second we put his harness and leash on he is pulling to go out the door. But we have NEVER seen him return to almost as if say goodbye as he did to Lorena before we left. We definitely look forward to booking her again!”

“We never used Rover before but needed desperately to find someone to watch our dog at the last minute. We interviewed two and they were both great. We selected Shelly and couldn’t have been happier. She sent photos, videos and txt messages and it was very reassuring and confirmed the already wonderful comments about her. We will use her again! 5 Stars”

“Julia took great care of Nixon! It seemed like he really liked her and he became super comfortable around her when he stayed at her place! Will definitely book again with Julia if I go out of town again!”

“Jinx had a great time boarding with Dawn and her pets.Dawn kept us up-to-date on Jinx adventures around the house or out & about hiking with pics.Dawn also kept track of Jinx medications and let me know when she ran out so I can find backups! Very pleased we found Dawn and will most certainly come back!”

“This is the 3rd time Sarah has watched our dog, Groot. She is fantastic and we can tell Groot loves it there and loves playing with her dog. We will continue to use her any time we need someone to watch him.”

“Laronna takes great care of Pixie and sends frequent updates including pictures but the main way I know that Pixie is having a great time is when we park and Pixie pulls me up to the door with such joy in her wag.”

We’ve been using the same sitter for Bentley and couldn’t be happier! It’s such a relief knowing he’s in great hands every time. Bentley always comes home happy and well cared for — you can tell he’s truly loved during his stays. We keep coming back because the consistency and trust are unmatched. Highly recommend!

They are an awesome sitter which Ke'o really looks forward to staying with them while we are out of town. We are very thankful that Brian and Abigail continues to provide an exemplary services as well as easy to communicate with since they are very responsive. Thank you again and highly recommended if you need dog sitting services.

Shelly was amazing with Jax! We got lots of pictures and videos of a boy who was having a blast at her house. What a great backyard space for them to play. She was thorough at explaining everything and is so professional. Thank you Shelly for taking care of our boy ❤️

Do not hesitate to leave your fur kids with Alycia! Both she and Derek showed so much patience and care with my senior boy who requires a lot of extra attention and effort. They were accommodating and communicative. It's clear that caring for pets is a calling for them. I would definitely rely on Alycia again!

Sue takes great care of our GSP. Our dog gets a lot of great play time in Sue’s yard with her dog. Of note, we were supposed to pick out dog up at about 7:30 on a Sunday night after our return from a long weekend in Austin. Despite our flight being 2 hours delayed, Sue was patient and waited for us to come over late to get our pup. Thank you for your amazing flexibility Sue!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
