Compassionate & Convenient Pet Care
As a long-time pet owner and animal lover, I have several decades of pet-care experience. When I was a child, I got to experience the joys of growing up with all kinds of animals in my home, including dogs, cats, fish, birds, and hamsters! Some of my past canine companions included a German Shepherd / Collie mix and a Golden Retriever. I also have experience with other breeds as well, including Labradors, Shih Tzus, Chihuahuas, Dachshunds, Miniature Schnauzers, Jack Russell Terriers, and more. I have a lot of experience with caring for animals (mostly cats) that have special needs. Some of my own kitties were unfortunately diagnosed with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hypertension, and cancer. I have over half of a decade's worth of experience with administering medications, providing injections, and understanding the importance of upholding prescription diets. Ear drops for animals who are susceptible to ear infections are also not a problem. Please know that I truly delight in spending time with and caring for animals. I would love the opportunity to meet with you and your pet(s) to see if I could be the right fit for your pet care needs. For over a decade, I have been utilizing my passion for animals by assisting friends and family with the care of their pets. Smaller animals are more than welcome to stay with me in my home, and will be allowed on my furniture for all the pets and cuddles they may desire. While I no longer have any pets of my own, I do have cat scratchers available for visiting kitties to use and enjoy. I also have a medium sized crate available for any visitors to use during their stay as well (this would be decided with the pet owner at the time of booking). SPECIAL NOTE: Please be advised that I have (and live with) a partner of 15 years. His name is Derek, and with a client's permission, Derek will sometimes partake in my pet-care services. For example, he will be present when animals are boarded in my home, partake in housesitting services, and he may even join me for walks or drop-in visits. If you are a potential client who is comfortable having Derek join me, I would love to have him be present for our meet & greet. Just reach out, and I'd be happy to chat with you further.

I've asked Alycia to take Pixie many times and it's always a great experience. Pixie loves staying with her and comes back super tired from the boarding. 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended. I think Alycia has boarded Pixie at least 5 or 6 times now with the same high level of care and communication.
Our cat really likes Alycia. She typically hides and is always pretty cautious around new people, but with Alycia she comes right out from under the couch to greet her! Alycia also provides very thoughtful, detailed notes about each of her visits and they are very much appreciated. Thank you, Alycia!
We’ve never used Rover before so we were pretty nervous before we met Alycia and her partner. During the stay we got little updates and pictures of our dog and cat each visit. If we need another sitter in the future we will definitely choose her again. She went above and beyond our expectations.
Alycia is wonderful! Our dogs were so well taken care of (including our older dog)!!! We really appreciate being able to leave town knowing that our dogs are in good hands!

Providing convenient & compassionate pet care for my clients is now my full-time job. For that reason, I have an open and flexible schedule to assist pet owners with their pet care needs. The sooner a booking request is submitted, the more likely I will be able to accommodate you. This is especially true for holiday bookings. Please note that when housesitting or boarding your pet(s), I may have days where I'll have to pop in and out of the home several times in order to complete drop-in bookings or walks. On days when I have fewer bookings, I will be within the home for a majority of the day. Either way, I will always strive to provide your pet(s) with frequent pets, play sessions and/or walks.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets, my primary focus is to adhere to your animal's own unique established routine. I want to ensure that I am providing food and water at appropriate times, along with ensuring your fur baby receives plenty of exercise and/or playtime. I am comfortable administering medications as needed, and adhering to dietary restrictions. As a previous owner of cats who had plenty of special needs, the health, safety, and well being of your animal will be of top priority.
A typical day
Fun activities will include lots of play-time with your pet's favorite toy(s), walks (when applicable), visiting nearby parks, and any additional requests that pet owner's would like to provide.

- Please provide details regarding your pet's own unique temperament, healthcare needs, and routine. For clients seeking dog-walking services, please note that dogs who are comfortable walking on a leash are preferred. Unfortunately, due to my smaller stature, I may not be the right fit for larger dogs who pull a lot, or who may be reactive to seeing other animals/people while walking. For owners who are looking to have their pet stay with me in my own home, please be advised that I do live in an apartment. For that reason, I may not be able to accommodate heavier animals that jump or pups who might bark a lot. Also, I do have carpet within my apartment home, so I must kindly request that pets be fully house-trained when staying with me. While I do not have a yard, there is a dog park on site, and there are plenty of grassy areas and sidewalks for walking. For any pups who may prefer longer walks, there is a great trail across the street from my complex that is walking distance from my home. Thanks for understanding!
