Pet care experience

Paws-tively Perfect Pet Care

I've always loved animals, particularly dogs, so any opportunity I have to play, walk or snuggle with a dog, I'm going to take it! This passion kicked off my pet sitting experience which dates back to high school when my neighbors would ask me to watch their dog while they went on vacation. Since then, I've continued to offer pet sitting to friends, family and others. This experience ranges from puppies to seniors, tiny to large, and mellow to active dogs. I've some training experience, so that's helpful with new puppies looking for routines. In my experience with senior dogs, I've cared for dogs that need extra attention including frequent medicine, bathroom breaks and even IV fluids. My priority one in pet sitting is to provide as much love and attention as I can to your pup so they can feel like one of my pack.

Sarah was amazing with Clare! She sent us frequent updates and was quick to respond to questions. When we had a change in our schedule and needed to add an extra day of boarding, Sarah was extemely understanding and helpful. We highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again in the future!

This was Maeve's first boarding experience and I'm not sure it could have gone better. Sarah introduced Maeve to new friends and made us very reassured that Maeve was in good hands and having fun, which allowed us to enjoy our trip. Highly recommended!

My beagle stayed with Sarah for over a week while I was gone on vacation and she did a wonderful job taking care of him! I loved that he had another dog to play with and Sarah gave great daily updates. Would definitely recommend!

My dog received lots of love and attention, she also was able to climb on a bed and take naps on her couch. Sarah sent me a lot of pictures and keep me on track off everything!

Schedule

I work from home most days of the week, so I can spend the whole day with your dog at my side. This allows me to meet your dog's schedule needs (specific walk times, feed times, etc.). On the rare occasion that I’m in office, my partner, who is fully remote, is happy to take point in the short time I'm away.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a two story home with a fenced-in yard. This offers plenty of space inside to explore and outside for leash free play (if approved by mom and/or dad). I do have one dog, a Pomeranian-Husky named Byrd, who welcomes playmates. She has free range of the house, so any client's dog would too unless specified otherwise. I would have water and food bowls available in the kitchen all day. I tend to do feedings at specific times but if a client's dog is a grazer, I can make that work. When leaving the house, I have Byrd gated to the first floor; it would be the same for other boarders unless the client prefers for their dog to be crated. I have a camera in my living room that lets me see and talk to the dogs while I'm out of the house (which I try to do rarely if there are doggy guests). Clients can expect plenty of photos and updates on their pets via text.

A typical day

Day starts with AM bathroom break and breakfast. Morning and/or afternoon walks around the neighborhood are guaranteed. I'm less than a five-minute drive from Forest Park, so I sometimes will take dogs there for longer walks. Byrd has tons of toys to share for play time.
