“Asia was so sweet and professional. When we first arrived Asia and her fur baby Crypto welcome us. Asia made my lil boy (Biskit) feel so at home. I asked Asia to send me text, pictures, and videos, and she did just that. That really made my heart fill of joy to see pictures and videos of my lil boy(Biskit) and to know that he was well taken care of. We thank you so much Asia from the bottom of our hearts 💕 Sylvia and Antwon Dudley.”

“Amazing cat sitter! Qiyun/Kiki was so accommodating when we had to book our cat Lucy on very short notice. She took great care of her, sending regular pictures and updates on how she was doing. I would rate her 100 stars if I could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Definitely have your kitty stay here!”

“Jeanne came through for us on short notice and was able to keep our dog for four days. This was our second time using her and she was fantastic again. We will use her again for our august trip.”

“Just left our dog over the holidays. Delightful family great property to host dogs, communication was terrific with daily pictures and updates. Drop off and pick up we’re both terrific and easy. First choice for sure!”

About: I have been doing pet sitting since high school and have been a volunteer dog walker for the Humane Society of Missouri for 11 years. I currently have one customer not through Rover and have had more in the past, but I am looking forward to my first Rover job! I love animals (cats, dogs, and other animals). I don't have any pets but hang out with my brother's dog a lot when he is out of town. I walk dogs at the Humane Society on Tuesday but am free most hours and days since I have reduced my time delivering with Doordash. I am looking to build up pet sitting time and can schedule my days around this most days. I can visit your home and spend time with your pet. I can walk your pet, give them food, water, and medicine as needed, and let them outside to go to the bathroom. Your dog will feel comfortable on his or her walk or your pet will enjoy the drop-in visit and time spent with me. I can leave your pet in a certain part of your house or crate at your request.
“Tom and his family were very friendly and welcoming to our pet. Copper had a lot of fun lounging around and going on walks - we enjoyed seeing the pictures and will definitely use Tom again!”

“Hattie was great! She took such good care of Essie, kept me updated and even alerted me to a possible concern. She showed great care and treated Essie as her own. Will definitely use her again!”

“Melanie was great. This was our first experience using a dog sitter and I'm not sure how it could have gone much better. We will use her every time we need this service.”

“They were an awesome host and Ke'o had so much fun with them while my wife and I were of vacation for two weeks. From the regular updates that they've sent us made us wonder if Ke'o would decide that he doesn't want to come home to us! 🤣 Thank you so much and you guys did a great job taking care of him. Highly recommend and will rebook them in the future.”

“Raina is proactive and responsive for us and so caring for our labradoodle! I love all the pictures and videos she sends; they are such a treat when we are missing our dog while traveling. She gives plenty of play time and manages the relationships between the dogs very well!”

“Cyndy and her family were wonderful hosts for our dog, Mando! They made time to do a meet and greet and asked lots of great questions. She was so great at sending updates and I could tell they were taking very good care of Mando. Will definitely use them again!”

“Allison did a great job with my girls. She gave plenty of updates, exercise and love. She and her family went above and beyond when one of my doggies was terrified of storms providing extra TLC. I loved the pictures where her children were cuddling with my dogs to keep them calm during the storm. I definitely recommend her. Thanks for everything Allison.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ellisville
We had a great experience having our dog Koda stay with Melissa and family over the weekend. She was kind enough to do a meet and greet with us before the stay which helped Koda get used to her two dogs Aengus and ozzy, along with their lovely children. She sent us pictures and kept us posted during his entire stay which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend anyone looking for a loving and safe environment for their pups.

We had a great experience! She made our nervous dog feel comfortable from the very beginning and treated her like she was one of her own. She kept in great communication throughout the entire stay, sent lots of updates and photos, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious how much she genuinely cared for our sweet girl and we will absolutely use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
