“Raina was great with our dog. We are so glad we chose her. Our dog loved staying with her. Great service, great communication. Raina sent lots of pictures and videos so we could see how happy our dog was)))). . Highly recommend to other dog owners. We will definitely come back!!!!”

“Laura took excellent care of our pup! I could tell that she was cared for as part of their family. Laura provided daily photo updates so we knew she was cared for. I would highly recommend and will use her again!”

“Melanie was fantastic. I would easily board with her again! She sent me regular updates and pictures of my pet while I was on vacation. She was very loving toward her. I was able to relax and not worry about Piper.”

“This was our first experience with the Rover.com app. I was a little nervous leaving my baby for 10 days, I have to admit. But Blake was awesome with our dog and me. He has 2 sweet dogs and they all got along great. He sent me pics and communicated with me daily. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor space. I will def use him again. Our pup can be finicky but she did great. All Good!!!”

“Rachel did an amazing job keeping me informed about Marty throughout the time I was gone and really made me feel comfortable being away from him. I would recommend to anyone looking for a dog-sitter!”

“Francie is very welcoming and communicative. She was able to take in both of our dogs last minute over the holidays and provided regular updates throughout their stay. Highly recommend!”

“Great family what I like most is that they work as a team to take care of Cody. Great communication, spacious area, very kind to the dogs. I can say Leah is about her business every time I came by she had a dog there so that lets me know that she is well trusted with animals. I want to thank Mara for taken care of Cody cause he can be a handful because he wants all of the attention, and he is scared of other dogs, she sent pictures and responded to my text messages at timely manner. She told me some things that I didn’t realize about my dog while he was there. There young children are fearless with dogs so that was great to see the kids interact without being scared. I will be sending my Cody back to this family if they will welcome him again. Highly recommend this family.”

“Eric and Morgan were very accommodating in taking our request last minute and having flexible pickup/drop off times. They also sent a daily check in and pictures as well, which was very much appreciated!”

“Rachell sent pictures and had a big yard for Lacey. I know Lacey is glad to be back home, but she won't be as anxious next time she visits Rachell and her new bird and dog friends.”

“Anusha and her family gave Juney the most loving experience while I was away on vacation. Gave me the peace of mind to enjoy time away knowing Juney was in such great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Carly & Doug were excellent in taking care of our fur baby. I recommend them to anyone who would like to have top notch care for their fur babies. Thank you so much!!”

“This was the first time ever leaving my dog and my anxiety was extremely high! Sherry made the experience amazing with daily pics and updates! I will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Cynthia and Robert were awesome! Very communicative and able to help on short notice. They went out of their way to make sure my JoJo was comfortable and welcomed him like one of their own fur babies. Would definitely recommend and plan to use their boarding services again in the future!”

About: I’ve watched dogs for several of my friends and family in the past and have decided to take my care pet scratches to others in need. I’m currently a personal trainer. So I’ll have afternoons to come home and let the pups out. And I’m there for several hours at a time. I like to walk so they will get exercise in. I have a fenced in back yard. So the dogs will have plenty of space to run and play. They have a pond to drink from.
“Melissa and family kept us constantly updated with our pup during her stay and were incredibly understanding when our flight was delayed and pivoted to doing a drop off. We cannot thank them enough for their care of her.”

“Teresa was wonderful. Kind and thoughtful to make sure our Maggie had a good time. Even a new friend in Snickers. Perfect experience. Thank you Teresa. Will reach out again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
