I work from home full-time as an executive assistant, which means I have flexibility to feed, walk, and let your dog(s) out and/or take care of your cat(s). I am also able to visit your home two to three times during a normal work day, and once in the evening time to care for your pets, should you only need drop-in visits in your home. Do you need somewhere to board your dogs, in a safe and nurturing environment, as well as a place where someone is always present?! I can do that in my home for you! I'm extremely reliable and trustworthy! I never cancel, I stay the entire duration for drop-in visits, you will receive multiple updates on a daily basis, as well as photos of your pets, and your pets will receive 110% care each time I pet sit for you!

Your dog(s) are allowed to roam the house, sit on furniture, and sleep in our bed, as needed. If they get crated, we can do that too! Whatever routine you follow at home, will be followed in my home. It's important that we stick to a consistent routine. All dogs will be fed separately and contained in their own space to eat to prevent from resource guarding. After eating, bowls will be thoroughly washed after every meal. We have several dog beds on the main floor, and upstairs. We also have a comfortable caged in area in our basement in case your dog(s) have anxiety or get overstimulated. The area includes carpet, a raised bed, toys, and bowls to eat or drink from. Lastly, since we do not have a fenced in yard, your dog(s) can play in our enclosed basketball court which has grass and areas to run around (located in our neighborhood), or we will go on daily walks (weather and health permitting). All dogs will be let out for potty breaks in our back yard with a leash and collar/harness to prevent them from running away. Your dog(s) are required to have collars with their tags on, and they must have updated vaccinations. For cats, I ensure that they have eaten and their litter boxes are clean. If they enjoy playing, I can fit that into my visit, as well. In your home, I will respect your home and follow any rules that are provided. I will use common courtesy. I deal with confidential information with my full-time job and will always keep everything confidential (where keys are kept, codes, etc). I clean up after your pets and myself, as needed. I take my job seriously!

Information Elisabeth L. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog is special needs prior to boarding in my home. I will not turn them away, but it is critical to know in advance so that I can properly be prepared prior to boarding. Does your animal require medication that may need to be administered? What about quirks or dislikes that they may have? Feeding amounts and schedules are also important to know about. Also, please let me know how your dog interacts with children, as well as other dogs.

A typical day

How we have fun is by taking the dogs on walks, as well as play with them in our enclosed basketball court in our neighborhood. If it's too hot or too cold, rainy, etc., we will have lots of indoor play to get our energy out. We have a lot of toys and bones to keep dogs active and busy. I will give attention to them in the house to make them feel comfortable and give them endless amounts of cuddles. For cats, we will play with toys and your cats will receive my undivided attention, if they desire. They will get brushed on a daily basis. They will also get treats, if allowed. It's important to me that your pets feel welcomed, loved and cared for!

Previous Vet Tech & Animal Lover

Pet care experience

It all started when I worked at West County Animal Clinic for Dr. Steinberg. I worked there for almost 4 years. I fed both the cats and dogs, and I cleaned out their litter boxes and crates. I gave the animals my undivided attention if they were boarding at the clinic. After a year, I was allowed to provide immunizations, as well as administer their medications (to both cats and dogs) and assist the veterinarian during surgeries. I made sure to check their health history and notes prior to feeding time in case they needed any special food or special accommodations. At that point and moving forward, I knew that my passion was to care for animals! I am the go to sitter in our neighborhood, for my friends, as well as my family members. I'm extremely reliable and thoroughly enjoy taking care of your pets! I have two of my own dogs, and I grew up having dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs, ferrets, and a tarantula! I have knowledge on how to care for reptiles and other farm animals, such as chickens, goats, and pigs. I can be trusted to take care of your dogs not only in my own home for boarding or doggy daycare, but also in the comfort of your home for drop-in visits.
