“Our Pup loved his time with Dawn! She was very proficient in keeping us up to date with photos. And she was also very flexible on timing for pick up and drop off! Thank you Dawn!”

“Brandon did great with Bailey! I could tell she really had fun. Met her bestyyy ZZ and was pretty bummed about going home as soon as we put her in the car😆 won’t stop whining as soon as we got home. Will definitely book brandon again! Real soon.”

“Ashley did a great job sitting my energetic black lab for 3 days. My dog can be a lot to handle, but Ashley was so polite and understanding. My dog came home with such a big smile on her face- I know she had a good time.”

“Elisabeth was amazing with Nala! She made sure to check in with me multiple times and sent me tons of photos. Nala was sad to leave! We will definitely be using Elisabeth as a dog sitter in the future!”

“Colleen was great watching our Minnie. She provided us with pictures, suggestions to spur her appetite, and a great social environment with her pets. Definitely will use her services again. Thx”

“Nicole did a phenomenal job with our dog, Flash. He has a lot of anxiety, but Nicole managed to make him feel comfortable and let him adjust on his own time. I will definitely have her baby sit Flash in the future!”

“Lara was amazing with my pup! I accidentally scheduled for the wrong dates and she adjusted her schedule to help me. She would send pictures daily and my pup always looked so happy! She made sure Ollie got a lot of time outdoor and was able to wear off her energy. I recommend Lara to anyone who is looking to book!! 🩷”

“Jing D. Was awesome! Both my beagle and mini Aussie had so much fun! She took them out for walks everyday and sent us pictures daily! My and my girlfriend had peace of mind on our trip because both of our dogs were in good hands! Her dog seemed great and playful as well! We would definitely recommend her! If you are looking for someone reliable and good with dogs!”

“Fergie was great, very communicative and sent photos. She takes her dog on two walks a day, so I’m sure my dog was excited to join. Her dog is energetic but it didn’t see too much for my older dog to handle. I would definitely book her again.”

“They were so sweet and welcoming of our dogs as new friends! Very easy to communicate with and sent pictures while we traveled which was amazing! Absolutely will book again.”

“I don’t want to leave this review because then everyone will want to bring their babies to Barb and Steve and their availability will go down, because they are awesome! We have two dogs, they come with lots of meds and instructions. I also have one that temperamental and can snap at people and dogs, in addition, the other one that is struggling with eating and taking pills. They really took care of them like I take care of them. They spoiled them, loved them and took care of them as if they were their own. They worked with all their issues and sent pictures so I could see they’re loved while we’re away. There are no words to express how stress free your trips away from home can feel knowing your babies are getting taken care of properly and loved while you have to be away. Truly amazing people for the babies and what all sitters should be like.”

“Taking Kali to board with Sarah was like taking her to our own family! Sarah is adorable, she welcomed Kali into her home with a loving cuddle. She made sure that Kali and I felt comfortable with Kali's temporary lodging and that her dog, Arthur and mine would be fast friends. We talked about Kali's normal schedule and I knew the she would get all the attention and extra pets that she was used to, probably more. Sarah sent daily updates with sweet pictures and videos of Kali and Arthur's day. I truly appreciate Sarah's care of Kali and will schedule again anytime we need a dog sitter. We love love Sarah!”

“Kirsten was wonderful to my furbabies. They came back happy and tired from playing. I will definitely be a repeat client if she is available. Thank you so much, Kirsten!”

“Carolina was a phenomenal sitter for our anxious dog Teddy! He did so well with her and he was so happy and healthy and well taken care of when we picked him up after his 6 night stay! She gave us daily updates and photos which were so nice to see helped keep my mind at ease! We are so grateful for her and will definitely be using her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cottleville
Kelly did an outstanding job taking care of my dog! From the moment we met, I felt confident that my dog was in great hands. She was caring, dependable, and kept me updated throughout our time away, which gave me real peace of mind. It was obvious that she genuinely loves animals and treated my dog with kindness and attention. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Kelly to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

6 stars if we could!!! We had a great experience leaving Rory, our 13-month-old Goldendoodle, with Saranya for 11 days while we were out of the country. She sent us multiple updates, pictures, and videos every day, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Rory was clearly treated like part of the family. Her house is a great setup for dogs, and her Australian Shepherd, Milo, was wonderful with Rory. They got along great, and it made the whole stay even better. We would definitely recommend her and will absolutely use her again.

Kim and Larry were great for our active dog as well as our slower, older dog. Kim is very kind and patient; happy to throw the ball for one and cuddle the other. They keep a very clean and tidy home and have a nice yard to play or enjoy the weather. It was a perfect fit for us.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
