About: I’ve taken care of mostly dogs since I was a kid. I grew up raising dogs and showing dogs. We raised several breeds growing up. I have cared for puppies as well as adult dogs. I do teach full time, but am available after 4pm most days. My day starts at 7:10 so I could do a very early drop in or walk if needed. My weekends are very flexible and can be reliant on client needs. I am very conscientious of owner and pet needs. I will take of your pet like it is my own baby and follow care directions exactly.
“Bryan and Kellee are the best! We have one incredibly mean and difficult cat that requires insulin, the other is incredibly shy and hides with strangers. So it was really important that we made the right choice for care when we were gone for 2 weeks overseas. We thought about taking our diabetic cat to boarding but knew she’d prefer to be at home. I loved that they could administer insulin to a grumpy cat! Both of my cats did so well with Bryan and Kellee! They both are cat whisperers and I would definitely let them watch my fur babies again. Thank you so much!”

“Haley was great and my cat absolutely loved her! He was completely comfortable with her and we will be using Haley again for sure. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Sprinkles!”

About: I grew up in the country and have spent my whole life around animals—dogs, cats, and even horses. I currently share my home with a young Australian Retriever who keeps me active and entertained. I also recently cared for my senior dog through several years of diabetes that required twice-daily insulin, so I’m very comfortable with medication routines and supporting pets with special needs. I work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks and drop-ins. I’m available on weekdays and most weekends, so it’s easy for me to fit consistent, reliable care into my schedule. My priority is making pets feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I follow your routines closely - feeding, walks, and medications are all done exactly the way your pet is used to. I keep doors secured, double-check leashes and harnesses before every walk, and pay close attention to each pet’s body language so they never feel stressed or rushed. My goal is to create a calm, predictable environment so your pet feels secure and cared for while you’re away.
“Nadia has been wonderful so far. Very flexible and understanding with our fluctuating schedules, and most importantly has taken great care of our boy. We love getting photos while we’re at work of our fur babies!”

“Cristin was amazing with our two dogs. One of our dogs doesn't socialize well with new people but Cristin was able to get her to warm up to her and went above and beyond taking care of our dogs while we were gone. Even willing to spend extra time with them during a severe storm while we were gone. Would definitely recommend her care. Thank you, Cristin!”

“Melissa was great! She was extremely attentive to our dog and was always on time (if not early). We will certainly be using Melissa again in the future! Thank you!”

“Hannah did an amazing job with our two Aussies over the weekend. She came prepared, was always on time and very professional. She gave updates, photos and details every time they were in her care. Hannah will take great care of your fur babies!”

“Christine has helped me out a few times now. She is always very responsive and sends me cute pictures every time. My cat loves her which is a great sign! I airways feel comfortable with her checking in on him and my 16 year old dog. Thank you, Christine!”

About: Hi! My name is Kori and I’m a former vet tech (with a degree) with many years of experience working with all kinds of animals. I love animals and treat them all like they were my own, my goal is to provide the absolute best experience for pets and their people! I’m currently available most days of the week, hours may vary but I’m generally fairly flexible! I will work with you to find a time that works. Between August 20th and May/June (the duration of the school year) I will be unavailable on weekdays between 10:30-2:30. I am currently open to doing drop ins in your home as well as dog walking. I may consider caring for pets in my home in the future but that would be on a limited case by case basis
“Lindsay has been a huge help with coming over and spending time with my 2 dogs while im at work. She stops by and lets them out to potty and spends some time with them multiple times a week. It makes me feel good knowing I can trust her, that she enjoys being with them and that shes very experienced in dealing with different breeds and personalities of dogs!”
“Ruth was very professional and did the job well. She fed my pet, cleaned out the litter and also generously offered to water the plants while she was there. Highly recommend and will book again.”

“Jaclyn is definitely good with pets and I would highly recommend her services. She instantly bonded with my cat and spend time with him while I was away. She also brought some toys which my kitty enjoyed (and still does). Jaclyn also visited before I left on my trip show I could show her around. She also provided very extensive reports and photos of her visits.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cottleville
Elsie has been recovering from quite a tough time at the ICU (she almost died from kidney failure). We are very particular about leaving her, but we know Taro takes such good care of her that we were able to go out of town for a few days. He made sure she had her favorite water glass handy and gave her "lots of pets". He brushed her and she is so soft. She clearly was not traumatized by our absence. It was such a joy to arrive back home to a healthy, happy little girl cat. Taro is a such a blessing. Thank you!

Pam and Dave were absolutely outstanding pet sitters—we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the start, their communication was warm, professional, and incredibly reassuring. The updates they sent were not only detailed, but genuinely delightful to read—full of personality and little touches that showed how much they truly cared. The photos they took of our cat Gus went far beyond anything we expected. They didn’t just snap a quick picture—they captured his personality, his moods, and all those little moments that made us feel like we were right there with him. It was clear he was comfortable, well cared for, and getting plenty of attention (on his terms, of course!). Pam and Dave truly went above and beyond in every way. They treated Gus with so much care and respect, and that kind of attention is priceless when you’re away. We came home to a calm, happy cat and complete peace of mind. We would trust them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
