“She's an awesome sitter for my 3 dogs, she has been coming here on time and done her duty by letting my dogs in the backyard for 3 days straight definitely will hire her again in the future. Very reliable.”

About: We are dog lovers… love dogs of all kind! Our family will take care of yours like they are our own. We are a trustworthy and responsible bunch of people that will make your boy or girl feel like home. We’ve had experience with dogs of various sizes and breeds. I am currently full time at home. I can take care of your little ones at your convenience. Time is not an issue for me. We have a good size backyard where they can play. I have dog toys and plenty of space so they can have a good time.

“Natalie is wonderful! She took great care of my cats while I was out of town. She is transparent, easy to communicate with, and provides great visit reports. You’ll be at ease knowing she is watching your fur babies.”

“Zadee really cares about the pets. She came over a few days prior to meet them and get the entire routine a couple of days prior. Obviously smart and paid attention. Arrived on time, filled an extra water dish that I hadn’t requested, followed the rules and requests. Would easily hire her again!”

“Alli is excellent!!! Alli worked with us for 5 days straight, two times per day. She was on time 100% of the time and was excellent with our puppies. She took them for long walks and always asked if there was more she could do. Alli is very kind and easy to work with. She is also a good communicator. I highly recommend Alli and we will definitely have her back (often!)”
About: I grew up in a dog-family so I've been taking care of dogs since I could walk. I regularly dog (and cat) sit for family and friends from college and church. I'm currently working part-time so my schedule is very flexible excluding Monday & Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Down for morning/midday/evening walks and feeding or overnight stays. I like to do a Meet & Greet with all my clients well before my care-taking in order to properly care for your furry friend. I cannot currently board/crate dogs in my home but am able to offer walking, feeding, and overnights.
“Haley was great and my cat absolutely loved her! He was completely comfortable with her and we will be using Haley again for sure. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Sprinkles!”

“Alicia was a great sitter. Took awesome care of our puppies and was an awesome communicator. She performed all the puppy duties and counted everything through rover including all the walks. I highly recommend Alicia!. Loved the pictures”

“Alexandria took great care of our kitties while we were out of town! We have some finicky eaters and one who needs meds, and she didn’t have any issues with them. She was also kind enough to take our garbage cans from the curb and get the mail. I would highly recommend her!!”

“Mason is so good with our cats. They tend to be skittish around other people but they love him. He is a great communicator and your fur babies would be lucky to have him take care of them.”

“Danny & Jennifer did a great job watching our cats, especially the one with medical issues. Their report and pictures after were so thorough and definitely made us feel better about being away!”

About: I have been around animals my whole life! Over the past summer I took on many pet-sitting opportunities such as looking after dogs, cats, and cows. I have had many experiences with dogs of all ages, even older dogs looking for specific care & love! I am currently in my last year of nursing school at Maryville University. While attending school, I also hold two other part-time jobs in healthcare & retail. While loving those jobs I am always looking for new experiences! With more time on my hands this year, I would love to take care and love on your animals! While in school I live in an apartment. However, I have always had dogs to love on in my family’s home growing up. I am very comfortable with dogs inside or out as I have had dogs both inside and outside.
“Angela was an absolute gem of a cat sitter! She took such loving care of my two Maine Coon cats, Bella and Hobbes, treating them like her own. From the start, her communication was excellent—she kept me updated with daily messages and adorable photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear she took the time to understand both of their unique personalities and routines. Her thoughtful touches and genuine affection for animals made all the difference. I came home to two happy, relaxed cats and a tidy home. I can’t recommend Angela enough—she’s a true animal lover and fantastic sitter!”
About: I really enjoy spending time with furry friends and provide a lot of attention and care to them. I am attentive to their behavior and emotional state and communicate everything to owners immediately. My perfect fit would be mature dogs with moderate to low energy levels, that are quiet and like to cuddle. I don't do well with highly anxious dogs but can provide a good level of support to slightly/moderately anxious dogs. I can provide regular exercise in a form of the walk as often as needed but am unable to take the doggy out more often than every 3 hours. About me: I'm quiet, responsible, and easygoing. Don't have visitors often. I like to draw, do something crafty and read! Prefer a quiet environment. My parents live with me too. My dad works full time, but my mom is almost always home. I'm have flexible schedule and often work at home, so your pet won't be left alone very often. And if we do need to leave, it would only be a few hours and I would mention it to the owners to make sure it is okay. I can provide potty breaks every 3-4 hours but prefer dogs that can stay alone without potty break for 4-6 hours just in case. I will do what I can to accommodate your pet's needs! We have double door and I usually a bit anxious about safety and concern about dogs running away. I will also make sure there is nothing unsafe on the floors before pup arrives.
“Susan took such great care of my little fur baby while I was away for the holidays. She kept me updated with her visits and I knew my little Kiwi was in a great, loving hands while I was gone. I highly recommend Susan if you want someone who truly loves dogs and who'll care for them like they're her own. I will be using Susan to car for my fur baby whenever I need to travel.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Chesterfield
We are so lucky to find Iris, she is very responsive, reliable and caring, and went above and beyond in taking care of our kitties so that we could be worry free while away from home. Our flight was delayed due to poor weather. When we asked her for additional help during the extended time, she graciously accepted it and did it for us. Not only that, she went further and helped us picking up mails, and checked with us for watering house plants and putting out trash can for trash removal. Strongly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Chesterfield. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
