“Provided great communication with daily updates and pictures. My dog has special needs due to a defect requiring extra work for feeding and drinking water, Evan accommodated without issue.”

“Gustavo is wonderful pet sitter, he sends lots of pictures and really cares about your pet. Molly was excited when we walked in for our second booking, which is a sign for me that she is comfortable with her surroundings.”

“Teresa did awesome with my dog. She took her for a walk, outside to play, and let my dog nap on her. My girl has separation anxiety and Teresa made her feel welcomed and comfortable. Thank you!”

“Kelly was amazing with both of my dogs! She sent me lots of photos of them enjoying her back yard and also cuddled up on the couch. I would trust her with Kuri & Kane anytime! Bonus points to her as well because one of my dogs can be grumpy with other dogs at times and Kelly did phenomenal with her.”

“Kari took great care of our pup! From the great pics she sent it looks like she had an amazing time. She put us at ease while travelling, knowing she was in good hands. Thanks again!”

“Camille was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Luna. I truly appreciated how flexible and accommodating she was throughout the entire experience. Initially, we had planned for dog boarding, but when that didn’t work out, Camille quickly adapted and switched to in-home visits. She even made an effort to try crate options beforehand, which showed how committed she was to finding the best solution for Luna. This was a last-minute booking, and Camille was incredibly understanding—even adjusting the dates just one day before the scheduled drop-off. Her flexibility really helped reduce a lot of stress. During her visits, she kept me updated by sending videos and clearly spent quality time playing with Luna. It was very reassuring to see how happy and well cared for Luna was in her hands. Overall, Camille went above and beyond, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and flexible pet sitter.”

“Carly was easy to communicate with, kept us up-to-date during our trip, and our girl came home as happy as ever. Thank you for your help, and Matilda will hope to see you again soon. :)”

“Melissa and family kept us constantly updated with our pup during her stay and were incredibly understanding when our flight was delayed and pivoted to doing a drop off. We cannot thank them enough for their care of her.”

“Dawn was so awesome sending me photos and updates. She clearly loves animals and is very professional and nice. Her dog is really sweet. My dog was a total jerk the whole time and peed and pooped in her house and she was really nice about it. I felt so bad! Highly recommend.”

“Nicole did a fantastic job with Ellie. It was our first time using her. She definitely made us and Ellie feel welcome and comfortable! She texted and sent pictures every day. Ellie was so spoiled when staying there. I will definitely use Nicole again! Great job!”

“I can't say enough about how amazing Lauren was! From the moment I dropped off my pup, I knew he was in great hands. Not only did she provide lots of love and attention, but she also kept me updated with an adorable photo. The one picture she sent of my dog curled up and relaxed really put my mind at ease. I could tell felt completely comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to their furry friend! Thank you, Lauren, for taking such great care of my dog!”

About: I have been doing pet sitting since high school and have been a volunteer dog walker for the Humane Society of Missouri for 11 years. I currently have one customer not through Rover and have had more in the past, but I am looking forward to my first Rover job! I love animals (cats, dogs, and other animals). I don't have any pets but hang out with my brother's dog a lot when he is out of town. I walk dogs at the Humane Society on Tuesday but am free most hours and days since I have reduced my time delivering with Doordash. I am looking to build up pet sitting time and can schedule my days around this most days. I can visit your home and spend time with your pet. I can walk your pet, give them food, water, and medicine as needed, and let them outside to go to the bathroom. Your dog will feel comfortable on his or her walk or your pet will enjoy the drop-in visit and time spent with me. I can leave your pet in a certain part of your house or crate at your request.
“Zadee did an awesome job boarding our 7-month old pup. It was our first time boarding and we needed help pretty last minute- Zadee put us at ease, was responsive and very patient with us as we were in scramble mode. She sent pics and kept us well informed. Would definitely request Zadee again and recommend!”

Elana was great! She watched my dog for two weeks and I could tell his was in good hands. She’s super friendly and a great communicator. She sent regular updates and asked questions when she noticed he was experiencing some anxiety. I would definitely recommend Elana to anyone needing a dogsitter for their furry friend!

I HIGHLY recommend Iris as a cat sitter. Her warm , personable demeanor is noticeable from the moment I met her. Her love for cats is evident by the great care she gave my 2 cats for the 9 days she had them. She kept me updated with pictures and text messages on how they were doing. They were well cared for. I am deeply grateful. I will recommend Iris to family and friends in need of a cat sitter. Thank you Iris!

I was leaving on a trip in 4days and my dog sitter got sick. Came to Rover and Jennifer immediately answered my request! When I went to visit her and saw her own two dogs. I knew immediately that she would be a great sitter and I was right! Mollie was immediately accepted by the dogs, Jennifer and her son I honestly did not worry the whole time I was gone I highly recommend Jennifer without any reservations. She sent frequent pictures and updates I also knew I made the right decision when I went to get Mollie as she was reluctant to come home with me thanks Jennifer for taking care of her and thanks for giving me the comfort to not worry about her. I’ll book her again in a heartbeat.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
