“Mika and her family were great with Rambeau. He looked happy and content. We enjoyed Rambeau's daily pictures and short video updates while we were out of town. And I hope to use them again. :-)”

“Ozzy received excellent care with Annie & Michael and came home to us as happy as can be. We got loads of pictures and updates, and it really made us comfortable being away from him for a week. He looked like he was getting tons of attention & walks!”

“I have no words to express how pleased and blessed we are to have found Katie on this platform. For a long time, we hesitated to leave our puppies Dexter and Lilly in someone else's care due to Dexter’s medical condition who suffers from seizures, thyroid, and arthritic problems, which requires medical treatment 4 times a day with everything what that includes. Also, Lilly being a very affectionate rescued dog but super nervous and difficult to get on trust with other adults. Finding Katie has allowed us to feel very relieved and confident that our puppies are receiving not only the best care and attention, but also the most genuine affection that anyone can give us. Like everything in life, there is a time to adapt to changes, however, Katie and her family made this adaptation for Dexter and Lilly and for us also the best! Katie, thank for your patience, understanding, constant communication and love for our babies, we are happy to be able to count on you for the care of our furry babies.”

“Gustavo is wonderful pet sitter, he sends lots of pictures and really cares about your pet. Molly was excited when we walked in for our second booking, which is a sign for me that she is comfortable with her surroundings.”

“Rachel did an amazing job keeping me informed about Marty throughout the time I was gone and really made me feel comfortable being away from him. I would recommend to anyone looking for a dog-sitter!”

“Melanie was great. This was our first experience using a dog sitter and I'm not sure how it could have gone much better. We will use her every time we need this service.”

“She was amazing with my fur baby! They connected instantly and she made sure to send me updates which was helpful and greatly appreciated. I will definitely book with them again in the future 🩵”

“This was the first time Lorri watched our mini schnauzer, Albus. He settled in very well at her house and she took great care of him. Lots of walks, a car ride, spoiled with treats, and plenty of birds and squirrels for him to watch out of the window! Lorri sent us updates and pictures every day which really allowed us to relax and enjoy our time away from Albus. I definitely recommend Lorri, I know it was a great "vacation" for Albus at her house!”

“We used her twice within a month for our mini bernedoodle! Bear was excited to go back the second time and ran inside. He was tired when he got home, a sure sign he had a good time.”

“Catherine did a great job at caring for our dog. When we pick him up he’s usually pretty eager to leave, but before we left he had to go over to Catherine and get extra pets from her ? we plan on using her services again.”

“Couldn’t be happier with our experience with Lesley. Communication was very straightforward and she was so accommodating when our flights got canceled and we had to adjust our plans. Would definitely recommend her services.”

“Misty was amazing and put me at ease about leaving our pup for the first time. We loved getting pics and knowing he was doing well. Drop off and pick up were so easy. We will definitely send our dog back for future visits.”
“Linda and Dwight were great with our Ellie. Linda sent lots of pictures and communications while we were away. Ellie seemed right at home with them, which made us feel very much at ease being away from our girl. We hope Linda is available to watch Ellie the next time we go out of town.”

About: I've always had dogs. I unexpectedly lost one of our furry companions and I have an empty yard and dog safe household. I loved walking my dog, I would love to walk yours. I'm in a season of availability to care for a few extra pups for anyone who needs it. I have a big yard with lots of shade and sunny spots. Just a little York terrier next door. I'll walk as much as needed to get the dog(s) tired and fed whatever diet is needed. I have a 4 ft chain link fenced backyard with a latching gate, a little Yorky next door who is all bark and no bite, named Salvy, he's friendly. He only comes out a few time a day. Easily avoided if necessary.
“Misty and John take wonderful care of my pup! This was his second time staying with them and he was so excited when we walked up to their front door. Thank you both!!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Maryland Heights
Raina was the best sitter for my dog and cat. She took great care of both of them. As a first time Rover user with a dog and cat, I was very worried about leaving them in someone else’s care. Really appreciated the daily pictures and videos. She will be my first request for my next trip. I would five her 5 stars. Angela Caradine

Summer and her family have been wonderful with my dog! Before his first stay, we met up at a dog park to make sure our dogs got along, which I really appreciated. We started with a one-night stay to see if it would be a good fit for everyone, and it went so well that he recently stayed with them for an entire week. One of my favorite things is the daily photo updates. I loved seeing Jackson cuddling with the family and getting in his belly rubs. In his walking photos with his new friends, he's always smiling and having a great time, which gives me so much peace of mind while I'm away. When I picked him up, he was excited to see me, but he also kept running back over to Summer for extra scratches and attention. That told me everything I needed to know, he clearly felt comfortable, cared for, and happy with her. Seeing how much he enjoys being there makes it easy to leave him in her care. I highly recommend Summer and will definitely continue booking with her in the future!

The moment I brought my little Havanese girl Jessie for a pre-stay visit. to see if she and Laronna would be a good fit, I knew I had struck gold. Jessie is the center of my world and I would not even consider leaving her anywhere or with anyone where she would not feel completely at home. Jessie was ready to stay as soon as she met Laronna, her mom and their own dog, so I was content dropping her off for a week long vacation. Laronna sent me photos of Jessie playing in the fenced yard, eating and sleeping on her new auntie's lap to make sure I wouldn't worry. I enjoyed my holiday, knowing my little best friend was being lovingly cared for, even if I was a bit jealous. Fortunately, she was happy to see me when I picked her up and I know I can book future travels knowing I now have the perfect home away from home for my treasured (and spoiled) little girl. Any dog owner searching for a sitter should start with Laronna and i wouldi be shocked if they saw the need to shop around further.

Melanie was awesome. She sent daily updates and pics of my little boy. It was is first time staying with other dogs and I was a little nervous at first but Melanie ensured that everything would be ok. Nugget enjoyed himself and made 2 friends during his stay :). I would definitely book with her again!

We had Brianna watch our dog over Thanksgiving and couldn’t be more happy and grateful for her amazing work. She’s truly a dog whisperer. She’s patient, caring, and very attentive. Our high-energy pup clearly had a blast with her; even the Fi collar shows she got tons of exercise and playtime every day. The photos and updates were so thoughtful, and it’s obvious our dog felt happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!

I would like to say a few words about my recent trip and comment about the wonderful service I received from Rover.com and their home service representative Christine. My boys, Raylan Givens and Preston Tucker, are quite large; and due to my age and physical condition haven’t really received proper training. Therefore, they are sometimes a bit hard to handle. While I’m used to their behavior, I worry that their size and lack of training could scare some off, but Christine and her sweet daughter accepted the challenge. My trip wasn’t long, only four days, but this didn’t make my worry any less real. By the end of day one Christine text me pictures of my boys and her daughter relaxing together, with a comforting note that everyone was doing fine. Her kind words and photos assured me my boys were in good hands, and I wouldn't hesitate to send my boys to their home away from home again. I highly recommend that anyone needing help with their pets for vacation or just a night out, cannot find a better service. Thanks Christine…five out of five stars.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
