“Brandon did great with Bailey! I could tell she really had fun. Met her bestyyy ZZ and was pretty bummed about going home as soon as we put her in the car😆 won’t stop whining as soon as we got home. Will definitely book brandon again! Real soon.”

“5 Stars! Lindsey was great with Kimber! She provided a safe and fenced yard, and yet still took our dog for walks. Lindsey provided a warm loving home for Kimber during our vacation away and provided us with updates and photos. I would not hesitate to book with Lindsey again. Highly recommended!”

“Rachel, Katee and their family were so welcoming to our sweet Kiya! This was the longest trip we’ve been on without her and I felt so much ease knowing they were taking care and loving on her like she was their own. They sent updates everyday and lots of pictures! She loved getting to play with their dog, Rudy and their daughter. We would definitely book with them again!”

“Elisa and her family were a great fit for my dog! She sent me photos/updates and I really appreciate her dog Norman providing comfort to my dog who can be somewhat unsure in new places. I’ll definitely book again!”

“Lauren was very sweet and did great with our dog, I contacted her on a short notice and she was able to accommodate us. Lauren sent us pictures everyday and kept us updated.”

“Jill was fantastic! We loved getting daily updates with pictures! And best of all we were able to enjoy our vacation with piece of mind that Bowser was well taken care of!”

“Katie was great! I had a flight mishap and my other dog sitter couldn’t watch my dog any longer while I was out of the country due to a prior commitment she had. However, I reached out to Katie and she was able to pick up my dog from the other sitter and watch her. Her communication was great and it helped so much while navigating a stressful situation. Outside of that she did great with Bailey and provided daily updates. Thank you Katie!”

“What can I say? We’d be simply lost without Dwight and Linda. The pups are SO excited to visit and sad to leave them. Thank you both so much for being incredible human beings.”

“I highly recommend Sonya and her family for pet sitting! I recently left my dog, Macario, with them while I was away camping for several days, and they took excellent care of him. It was clear from the updates and photos that he was comfortable, well-loved, and treated like part of the family. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great stay. They were easy to communicate with, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure both Macario and I felt comfortable throughout the experience. As a dog mom, having peace of mind while you're away is priceless, and that's exactly what they provided. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Macario!”

“Elisabeth treated our girl so well. Zoey had a wonderful time playing, being groomed, and running with the other pups. Elisabeth sent pictures daily and kept me updated on Zoey's daily activities. Highly recommend.”

“Bryan gave us incredible peace of mind knowing our aging chihuahuas were in good hands. He provided daily updates and pictures and our pups did great while we were away. I would recommend Bryan to watch your pup while you are away and I would use him again if we needed it. Thanks Bryan!”

“Would 100% recommend her!! Our original dog sitter couldn't do watch them so we found her and she was so amazing. Very responsive and organized since day 1. She gave us daily updates, pictures, and videos. They were super happy when we brought them back and even gave tips on brushing our 7month sheepadoodle and types of joint supplements for our 12yr old. She is a certified trainer and knows how to take care of the dogs so we would trust her to watch them for a long vacation and not worry about their stress or safety.”

“Ebony is always great with JD. He can be shy but this is the 3rd time with her and he actually was waiting anxiously for her to open the door. She sends pictures and keeps you updated. My JD has allergies and she sent me pics to make sure he was ok or did she need to do anything. We will continue using Ebony because we can relax and know that he is in good hands”
“Lorri was great to work with. Zuma was happy and healthy on her return and I have no doubt Lorri treated Zuma as though she as her own. Lorri does a great job of keeping you updated with messages and photos while you are away. It's nice to have that assurance. Will will definitely book with Lorri for future needs.”

“Shannon was very kind. She really was patient with my elderly dog. She was also sitting another pup who kept my fur baby company. She sent me pictures daily. I really appreciate that. Will definitely use her services again.”

“Misty and her family took great care of our golden retriever! She sent pictures of our happy pup, and our dog returned back to our routine at home without skipping a beat. We already booked our dog's next stay with Misty :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bridgeton
Kelsey was available within a short amount of time for a meet and greet. While I was away she constantly kept me up to date with my pups and worked remotely to keep them constant company. My dogs loved her dog and house and had a blast. She was also very accommodating, being able to watch them longer than expected. All in all, a fantastic sitter I plan on using again.

Sarah was so good with our dogs.. it was their birthday weekend when we left them She gave them a party with cake and ice cream as well as celebrating the 4 th of July with them sending daily pics of all events… not only was she great she trimmed their nails and she took our ooking last minute…I would definitely recommend her because beyond all the compliments she loves animals…..10/10 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a huge 👍🏾 she was great….

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
