“Elisa and her family took the best care of Baxter and I would highly recommend them to watch your puppies. We were nervous as we don't usually leave Baxter but Elisa ( and family & Norman) provided loving care. She sent updates and pictures, which we loved! The sweetest part of Baxter's stay was her sons drew pictures for Baxter! I can positively say, Baxter was a loved puppy! Thank you Elisa, Family, and Norman!”

“My handsome 10 yr old Great Dane mix has regained his youth over these last few weeks with Ebony. Made me feel good that he was able to enjoy himself so much and make a few friends and girlfriends ?”

“Misty was great. She was very flexible about drop off and pick up. She sent pics and updates while I was away, which I loved. I would highly recommend her for your pup!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our sweet Bennett! This was the longest we had ever left him and I was very nervous, but he was in such good hands with Rachel and her family! I would absolutely book again!”

“Lorri was wonderful with our pup. She made him feel at ease right away. She helped us to also feel comfortable by sending regular check-ins with photos. Thank you Lorri! We will be back!”

“Lindsay and her family took great care of our dog. She was easy to communicate with and was super flexible. She sent updates regularly and responded to every message I sent. I especially loved that she let my dog sleep in bed if she wanted. We would happily use Lindsay again!”

“I highly recommend Sonya and her family for pet sitting! I recently left my dog, Macario, with them while I was away camping for several days, and they took excellent care of him. It was clear from the updates and photos that he was comfortable, well-loved, and treated like part of the family. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great stay. They were easy to communicate with, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure both Macario and I felt comfortable throughout the experience. As a dog mom, having peace of mind while you're away is priceless, and that's exactly what they provided. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Macario!”

“My puppy had a great experience staying with Lesyle R. She was well taken care of and she seemed to be really comfortable staying with Leslye and her family. I received good vibes from my pup to make me consider booking with Leslye and her family as a liable pet sitter in the future.”

“Jacob is a wonderful pet sitter. He took care of my two cats and kept me updated with pics and notes about how they were doing. One of my cats’ had trouble adjusting but he encouraged her everyday to come out of her safe place. She finally came out on the last day. So I will definitely use him again. By the way he took my cats in an emergency situation and contacted me right away. Thank you to Rover, but mostly a huge shout out and thank you to Jacob.”

“I’m just going to say a quick review as I already left a long and great review for Julia after my other booking. She was wonderful and I highly recommend her. My BoBo loved her and didn’t wanna leave. Thanks, Julia 💕💕💕”

“This was my first time using rover and first time leaving Leo with strangers so I was nervous but Ivy made me feel like Leo was in good hands! She sent pictures and updates and left me assured he was doing just fine! I’ll definitely book with them again in the future!”

“I feel so lucky to have found a trusted sitter! Bryan and his wife treated my pup like their own. They eased a lot of my dogs anxiety (and my own) to a new situation while keeping him so comfortable and happy his entire stay. I could not have asked for a better experience!”

“We had a fairly short notice trip and needed to leave our two dogs for a week. We took them for a daycare first the week before, and they were super excited to go back when we dropped them off for trip.”

“Nicole was amazing. One of my pups was sick the first couple of days and she provided great communication and helped him get better. She also sent pictures with updates a few times a day. I was able to relax and have a great time on my vacation. This is usually hard for me since my dogs are older and I worry about them. I didn't have to worry while they stayed with Nicole. They both looked happy and well taken care of when I picked them up. I would highly recommend and will reach out with any future dog boarding needs.”

“Leslie is our go-to dog sitter! She always makes sure our little fur baby is well cared for, and she always goes the extra mile to make her comfortable. We get lots of photos, so we always know what’s happening and feel confident that our doggie is in excellent hands.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bridgeton
So thankful to have found the best people to take care of our dog while we are traveling. This time she needed extra care after having a recent surgery a couple of weeks before our trip. She was on a lot of medicine, cone and moderate rest orders. All of the daily photos and videos of her walking, snuggling and doing so well with the other pets really eased our minds knowing she was in such great care and spirit! Highly recommend anyone looking for a pet sitter to call Zhewei!

Sarah was so good with our dogs.. it was their birthday weekend when we left them She gave them a party with cake and ice cream as well as celebrating the 4 th of July with them sending daily pics of all events… not only was she great she trimmed their nails and she took our ooking last minute…I would definitely recommend her because beyond all the compliments she loves animals…..10/10 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a huge 👍🏾 she was great….

Kelsey was an amazing sitter and we would absolutely book with her again! When we needed someone to care for our English Bulldog, Henry, during a week-long trip, she was incredibly accommodating and gave us total peace of mind. She kept us updated with regular messages and photos, it was clear that Henry was happy and well cared for while we were away. Thank you again, Kelsey!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
